Overview

Cutout.Pro is a background-removal service for sellers, creators, and teams who need to clean up images individually or in batches. Its credit system makes it easy to preview before paying, but buyers should weigh monthly quotas against the larger one-time credit packages.

It removes or replaces image backgrounds, with an Erase & Restore brush for correcting missed background or clipped subject areas. Inputs can be JPG, PNG, WEBP, or BMP up to 15 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels; exports are PNG or JPG. Each upload gets a low-resolution, watermark-free preview without an account or credits, while an HD download costs one credit. Cutout.Pro says images are processed securely, deleted automatically, and not stored or shared.

Key features

Removal and replacement: Background replacement extends the service beyond producing a transparent cutout, useful when an image needs a new setting rather than simply a clean edge.
Manual refinement: The Erase & Restore brush can correct missed background and clipped foreground details. That gives users a way to fix imperfect selections without abandoning the workflow.
Batch processing: Batch processing is available, and Windows and Mac desktop apps handle folders. This is the clearest fit for product catalogs or other repetitive image work; the desktop batch capability is specifically associated with those platforms.
API access: An API supports workflows that need to connect the service to other software.

Pricing

The free plan is best for checking results: every upload receives a watermark-free, low-resolution preview, and new accounts get five credits without a credit card. Since one credit buys one HD image download, those signup credits cover five finished HD images. The preview is useful for screening, but it is not a substitute for full-resolution output.

Monthly subscriptions bill monthly and pair a fixed allowance with recurring cost: 80 credits for 5.00 USD per month, 170 for 9.90 USD per month, 300 for 16.90 USD per month, 550 for 29.00 USD per month, 1000 for 49.00 USD per month, or 1450 for 69.00 USD per month. The 80-credit tier is the entry point for regular users, while higher tiers suit increasing monthly throughput. Subscription credits can roll over up to five times the monthly budget, which cushions uneven usage but does not make the allowance unlimited.

Pay as you go offers 30 credits for 4.99 USD per month, 300 for 39.00 USD per month, 900 for 79.00 USD per month, 3000 for 199.00 USD per month, 30000 for 1399.00 USD per month, or 5000000 for 37500.00 USD per month. These volume packages are suited to buyers who prefer purchasing credits in bulk and using them at their own pace rather than relying on a monthly subscription allowance. Main-platform credit purchases have a 14-day refund guarantee; credits bought through the Shopify App are non-refundable, an important exception for Shopify buyers.

Platforms

Cutout.Pro supports web, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as API access. The Windows and Mac desktop apps add folder-based batch processing. That range accommodates individual browser use, mobile access, desktop production, and software integrations, though the stated desktop batch workflow is limited to Windows and Mac.

Who it's for

Cutout.Pro is a practical match for e-commerce sellers and creative teams that need background replacement, manual touch-ups, or repeated processing across folders. The preview and five signup credits lower the cost of evaluating it, while subscriptions offer a defined monthly image budget. Occasional users may prefer a pay-as-you-go package, but should consider whether the monthly billing presentation and credit volume suit their purchasing needs. It is less compelling for anyone who needs a free, full-resolution output pipeline or does not want to manage image credits.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free previews need neither an account nor credits, so users can assess a result before committing to an HD download.
Pro: The Erase & Restore brush and background replacement give users correction and composition options beyond basic removal.
Pro: Folder-based desktop batch processing and API access support both production queues and integrated workflows.
Con: HD downloads consume credits one image at a time, so frequent users must track allowance and package size.
Con: Shopify App credit purchases are non-refundable, unlike main-platform purchases covered by the 14-day guarantee.
Con: The free preview is low-resolution, limiting its usefulness when a finished image is needed without paying.
