Overview

ATLAS FORGE LLC’s D4Planner brings build planning together with an interactive map, event tracking, guides, tier lists, and game news. Its tools focus on Diablo IV alone, so it is a focused companion rather than a multi-game planner. D4Planner says it is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.

The build planner spans skills, equipment, Paragon, specialization, and mercenaries. Players can save and load, import, share, or embed builds, while the map covers locations and activities from dungeons and Altars of Lilith to bosses, vendors, events, and chests. That combination makes D4Planner more useful for ongoing play than a build editor on its own.

Key features

Build planning and sharing

Planning across equipment, Paragon, specialization, and mercenaries gives players room to develop a character beyond skill choices. Save/load and import controls suit players who revisit or adapt builds; sharing and embedding make it easier to pass plans to other players.

Map tracking

The map covers a wide range of points of interest, and its export, import, and clear controls help users manage map data. It is a practical complement to the planner for players who want their reference tools together.

Events and game guides

The tracker shows expected times for World Boss, Helltide, and Legion events and offers push notifications. iOS users must add D4Planner to their home screen to enable notifications, an extra setup step that may make the feature less convenient. Guides, tier lists, and news round out the site for players looking for more Diablo IV reference material.

Pricing

D4Planner’s Free plan is free and includes ad-supported access. There is no stated seat or usage cap; the practical trade-off is advertising. A Discord subscription removes ads and grants a special Discord role, but its price is custom pricing.

The privacy policy says D4Planner and advertising partners collect information for tailored ads, and that certain categories of personal information were sold through ad-supported services in the preceding 12 months. It names Google Play Services, AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Facebook as third-party services. The policy also says internet transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure. The service is not directed at children under 13 and says it does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Platforms

D4Planner is available on web, Android, and iOS. The App Store lists it as free for iPhone and iPad, requiring iOS 13 or later or iPadOS 13 or later. Email support is available, while the site directs users to Discord for more prompt help.

Who it's for

D4Planner is a strong fit for Diablo IV players who want build planning, map tracking, event timing, and game guides in one free companion. Its one-game focus is a benefit for those players, but a limitation for anyone who wants to plan across multiple games. Players who want an ad-free experience should factor in the separate Discord subscription.

Pros and cons

Pro: Build planning covers equipment, Paragon, specialization, and mercenaries as well as skills, with controls to import and share builds.
Pro: Map tracking and event timing bring exploration and scheduled activities alongside character planning.
Con: The free plan is ad-supported, and the policy describes tailored advertising and sales of certain personal information categories through ad-supported services.
Con: iOS push notifications require adding the service to the home screen.
Con: Its tools and guides cover Diablo IV only.

Alternatives

For other options, browse Game Build Planners. Choose LoadoutDB if a free web-based public reference site with no accounts or subscriptions better suits your needs. TLI Builder is another free choice, with web and Windows access and an MIT-licensed application source code. Consider GW2Skills for its freely available website and build editor. Last Epoch Tools offers free fan-site tools and content. Dark & Builder is a free-and-paid option available on Android, iOS, and web. GrimTools is free on web and Windows. Path of Building Community is a free, MIT-licensed option for Linux and Windows. PoB Redux is free on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Verdict

Choose D4Planner if you play Diablo IV and want build crafting, map reference, and event tracking in one free service. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; ad-supported data practices and the iOS notification setup are the clearest reasons to look elsewhere.
