Overview

Hatch is a donor prospecting and research platform for nonprofit fundraisers, researchers, and campaign teams. It brings profiles, scoring, search, and fundraising draft generation into one workflow. Its best fit is a US-focused team that can use those tools together; uncertain profile matches and the lack of dedicated support on lower-cost plans are meaningful trade-offs.

Key features

Profiles, search, and scoring

Hatch profiles can combine wealth, giving history, lifestyle, career, social presence, media coverage, and contact information. Teams can search and filter prospects into lists, while QuickSearch can enrich a profile from a name or other information. That range helps researchers investigate and prioritize prospects without relying on one signal, but it does not guarantee a complete match: Hatch reports overall match rates of 40–80%, depending on customer data quality, and provides Accuracy Scores by data point.

Explainable models score affluence, propensity, affinity, and RFM, giving fundraisers different lenses for segmentation and prioritization. Hatch says its data coverage is US-focused. News, tweets, and YouTube videos update daily; social, lifestyle, career, and contact data roughly monthly; donation, real estate, and stock data annually. Those schedules mean some signals can be more current than others.

Research and communications

For deeper vetting, Hatch’s in-house prospect researchers produce Elevated Profiles that include public donation verification and Gift Capacity Ratings. This adds human qualification alongside automated enrichment, though those profiles are separately priced in packages as well as included in paid tiers. Sir Hatch uses enriched profiles and GPT technology to draft personalized fundraising, marketing, and relationship-building communications; draft quotas vary by plan, so frequent users should compare the monthly allowances before choosing.

Integrations, API, and data practices

Hatch has announced integrations with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and Salesforce CRM. Its Partner API lets nonprofit technology platforms offer white-labeled donor profiles; Hatch says profiles average 150+ data points. Hatch says it licenses data from over 30 sources and avoids illegal web scraping and unethical sources. Its privacy policy describes encryption for transfers and storage when possible, with access controls and confidentiality commitments. Individuals can request removal of private personal data, and organizations control third-party data sharing through opt-in consent.

Pricing

Hatch has a free plan and paid plans from $200/mo. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/mo) and includes 50 enrichment profiles, 5 QuickSearch uses in the first month only, 1 seat, 50 Sir Hatch drafts/mo, and no Elevated Profiles. It is a way for one person to try a small workflow, but the caps and first-month-only searches make it a poor fit for ongoing team prospecting.

The Standard plan costs 200.00 USD per month (billed $200/mo) and includes 5,000 enrichment profiles, 40 QuickSearch uses/mo, 4 seats, 250 drafts/mo, and 15 Elevated Profiles/mo. It offers a substantial step up in volume for a small team, but dedicated support is not included. Ample costs 300.00 USD per month (billed $300/mo), raising allowances to 10,000 profiles, 60 QuickSearch uses/mo, 500 drafts/mo, and 20 Elevated Profiles/mo while retaining 4 seats and adding dedicated support. It suits teams whose higher usage or support needs justify the extra monthly cost.

Generous costs 400.00 USD per month (billed $400/mo) for 20,000 enrichment profiles, 80 QuickSearch uses/mo, 4 seats, 750 drafts/mo, 20 Elevated Profiles/mo, and dedicated support. Maximal costs 500.00 USD per month (billed $500/mo) and raises those allowances to 30,000 profiles, 100 QuickSearch uses/mo, 1,000 drafts/mo, and 20 Elevated Profiles/mo, with 6 seats and dedicated support. These tiers are for teams that can use the added throughput; Maximal is the only listed tier with 6 seats.

Elevated Profile packages cost 150.00 USD per month (billed $150/mo) for 15 profiles, 300.00 USD per month (billed $300/mo) for 30, 540.00 USD per month (billed $540/mo) for 60, or 960.00 USD per month (billed $960/mo) for 120. Hatch describes these as priced above basic enrichment costs, so they are a targeted option for organizations that need researcher-qualified profiles rather than a substitute for the broader plan allowances. Enterprise pricing is custom pricing for organizations with more than 30k contacts and includes a Personal Data Assistant.

Platforms

Hatch is available on the web and through an API. Its stated data coverage is the United States, which limits its appeal for teams focused on prospects elsewhere.

Who it's for

Hatch is aimed at nonprofit fundraisers, prospect researchers, marketers, and peer-to-peer campaign managers. It is most compelling for teams that need to turn donor information into prospect segments and communications, and less suitable for organizations that need broad international coverage or dedicated help on the Standard plan or below.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines enrichment, four explainable scoring approaches, search, and communication drafting, reducing the need to split those tasks across separate workflows.
Pros: Researcher-validated Elevated Profiles add public donation verification and Gift Capacity Ratings for teams that need more than automated matches.
Pros: Per-data-point Accuracy Scores and stated data ethics controls give teams ways to assess records and manage personal-data requests and sharing.
Cons: Reported match rates range from 40–80% and depend on customer data quality, so profile coverage may be uneven.
Cons: Dedicated support is reserved for Ample, Generous, and Maximal; smaller teams on Free or Standard do not receive it.
Cons: The Free tier has one seat, only 50 enrichment profiles, and QuickSearch only in its first month, limiting sustained use.

Windfall Wealth Screening is an alternative if you want pricing based on your needs and prefer to request a demo.
GivingDNA is another paid option, with fees and subscription terms set through an applicable MSA or Task Order.
Gratona Donor Intelligence may suit teams looking for a defined annual Launch plan with 1,000 AI credits per month, one primary workflow, and email and chat support.
Insightful Philanthropy may suit organizations that prefer pricing based on contribution level and team size rather than user seats or record counts.
EverTrue is another paid option, with product-specific pricing available by demo quote.
iWave by Kindsight is another paid prospecting option.

Verdict

Choose Hatch if your nonprofit needs US-focused donor research, explainable prospect scoring, and communication drafts in one platform, with the option to add researcher-validated profiles. Look elsewhere if your work depends on international coverage, or if variable match rates and limited support on the lower tiers would undermine the workflow.
