Overview

A project can start from text, speech, a sketch, reference photo, CAD file, Pinterest board or WhatsApp message, then continue through search, costing, review and presentation. That breadth can reduce handoffs for designers, manufacturers, traders, jewelry houses and retailers. The main trade-off is that image and video generation share a monthly allowance, while cataloguing and collaboration tools require higher plans.

Key features

Design, archive and product content

Natural-language and reverse-image search, smart tags, filters and version control give teams ways to find earlier work and manage revisions, not just generate new concepts. Studio can create model or hand photos, product copy and 5-, 10- or 15-second videos with audio; images can be upscaled to 4K. This combination suits teams preparing concepts and sales material in one workspace, though video seconds use the same allowance as images.

3D, costing and coordination

Studio can make 3D models from 2D images, render and clean meshes in a browser, and export OBJ, STL, GLB or GLTF files. Stone-setting tools, photorealistic rendering and manufacturing export extend its reach toward production. For costing, a bill of materials supports spreadsheet import, AI price estimates, a shared price book and stone-inventory matching. Boards, calendars, tasks, assignees, due dates, mentions and push notifications help teams track work; the Pro and Enterprise plans set explicit collaboration seat caps.

Integrations and data handling

Pinterest, WhatsApp and Telegram can feed the workflow, while a Shopify storefront can let shoppers design pieces and send draft orders. Customers retain ownership of their designs, and designs, images and prompts are not used to train AI models. Staff do not routinely view customer designs; support access requires the customer to share a project. Encryption, access controls and regular security audits are safeguards for teams weighing a cloud workflow, while enterprise clients can choose on-premise deployment for additional data sovereignty.

Pricing

The Free plan is free and includes 25 images, full access to AI features and community support. It is a useful way to explore the workflow, but the small image allowance is restrictive for sustained production.

Basic costs 99.00 USD per month (billed $149) and includes 200 images / video-seconds, full access to AI features and standard support. It raises the generation allowance without adding the cataloguing or collaboration tools named in higher tiers, so it suits individual users or small operations that mainly need AI features.

Pro costs 399.00 USD per month (billed $419). Its 1,000 images / video-seconds, cataloguing module, priority support and collaboration tools for up to 8 users make it a better fit for a working team managing an archive and shared projects.

Enterprise costs 1199.00 USD per month (billed $1,299) and provides 4,000 images / video-seconds, cataloguing, dedicated support, collaboration tools for up to 25 users, API access and CAD rendering support. It is the tier for larger teams or businesses that need those capabilities; smaller groups may not justify the price. Image generation and video generation draw on the same monthly allowance at every paid tier.

Platforms

Studio is supported in a browser, with Android, iOS, API and self-hosted platforms also available. Browser-based mesh work and the listed OBJ, STL, GLB and GLTF exports offer flexibility for moving 3D assets into other workflows.

Who it's for

Studio is strongest for jewelry businesses that need design intake, archive retrieval, costing, product content and team coordination connected. It is less compelling for a solo specialist seeking only a focused CAD application, or for users whose video and image needs would regularly exceed the shared allowance.

Pros and cons

Pros: Many kinds of design input can enter the same project, reducing friction when concepts arrive as sketches, files or messages.
Pros: Archive search, version control, costing and production-oriented exports cover work beyond image generation.
Pros: Ownership and AI-training protections, along with an on-premise option for enterprise clients, address important data-control concerns.
Cons: Images and video seconds consume one shared monthly allowance, forcing teams to balance two different kinds of output.
Cons: Cataloguing and collaboration tools are confined to Pro and Enterprise, so teams needing them face a substantial step up from Basic.
Cons: Pro and Enterprise cap collaboration at 8 and 25 users respectively, which may not suit larger groups without a custom arrangement.

Alternatives

For a broader set of options, browse Jewelry Design Software. Choose Rhino 3D if you want a paid Windows or macOS option with a permanent single-user license and a free trial. Kerf is a fit for people who prefer free, MIT-licensed software that runs locally without accounts or billing. Consider ZBrush if its free iPad plan with 28 brushes suits your needs.

3Design CAD is another paid option for macOS and Windows, with a free trial. Pencil offers a free plan with no AI credits, a three-design limit and STL downloads, or a Professional plan at 39.00 USD per month. CounterSketch is a paid Windows or macOS option with a free trial and a membership priced at 349.00 USD per year. Drakon sells Copilot credits in one-time bundles, including 5,000 credits for 20.00 EUR and 12,500 for 50.00 EUR. RhinoArtisan is a paid Windows option with a free trial.

Verdict

Choose Diatech Studio if your jewelry business needs one workspace for design intake, archive search, costing, 3D output and coordinated team projects. Its strongest case is the connection between creative and operational work; its main reason to look elsewhere is the shared generation cap and the higher cost of cataloguing and collaboration.
