Overview

Didit combines identity verification, business checks, AML screening, and transaction monitoring in a single platform. It is best suited to fintechs and marketplaces building KYC or KYB workflows, particularly teams that want to start without a monthly commitment. The free allowance is useful for a small rollout, but check-based billing needs careful attention.

Key features

Identity, business, and fraud checks

Didit brings user and business verification, AML, and transaction monitoring behind one API. Its stated coverage spans 220+ countries, 14,000+ document types, 10,000+ AML datasets, and 1,000+ government and bureau data sources. That breadth is relevant to services operating across jurisdictions; it does not by itself establish that every source or check will match a particular risk policy.

Fraud modules include biometric authentication, passive liveness, age estimation, device and IP analysis, and phone and email OTP. Together with document verification, liveness, and face matching, they give teams options beyond document capture. The billing model matters: a declined session can still contain billable checks, so teams should account for checks performed rather than treating declined sessions as cost-free.

Developer tools and integrations

A workflow builder and case management support operational handling, while public API documentation, an MCP server, and SDKs for web, iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter offer several implementation routes. Zapier, Shopify, and Salesforce integrations may suit teams already using those tools. The range of developer options is a strength for product teams, but the platform's value depends on which checks they actually need and how those are billed.

Security and data controls

Didit lists SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and iBeta Level 1 PAD. It says data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and sessions are stored in the EU by default. Enterprise customers can enable in-country data residency subject to availability and configure retention from one month to ten years. Those controls give enterprise buyers useful options, though in-country residency is not unconditional.

Pricing

Free costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/ month, no card) and includes 500 full KYC verifications every month, covering ID, liveness, face match, device and IP, plus the workflow builder, case management, and SDKs. It is a sensible starting point for a limited deployment, but the monthly cap makes it unsuitable as a no-cost plan for growing verification volume.

Pay as you go costs 0.33 USD per once (billed $0.33 per full KYC). It includes 25+ publicly priced modules, automatic volume discounts, and no monthly minimum, seat fees, or contract. This suits teams with variable usage that want to avoid a fixed commitment. The per-check basis still calls for budgeting around completed checks, including checks within a declined session.

Enterprise has custom pricing on an annual contract, with committed-volume pricing, custom legal terms, a 99.99% uptime SLA, data residency, and priority human support through a 24/7 shared Slack channel and named success manager. It is aimed at organizations that need contractual and operational support beyond self-serve usage; the annual commitment is a poor fit for buyers seeking flexible, low-volume spend.

Didit has no free trial; the free plan is its route to evaluating the product without a card. Its maker says it was founded in 2023 in Barcelona by Alberto and Alejandro Rosas and is headquartered in San Francisco.

Platforms

Didit supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Its SDKs also cover React Native and Flutter, giving mobile teams options beyond the native platforms.

Who it's for

Didit is a strong fit for neobanks handling KYC, B2B fintechs handling KYB, crypto businesses with Travel Rule workflows, and marketplaces running ongoing AML checks. The free monthly KYC allocation lowers the barrier to a small start, and pay-as-you-go avoids a monthly minimum. Buyers with high or predictable volume may prefer enterprise terms, while teams that need assurance that a declined session incurs no check charges should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Broad verification and risk coverage: The stated country, document, AML dataset, and data-source counts support cross-market workflows.
Low-commitment entry: The free plan includes 500 full KYC verifications monthly, and pay-as-you-go has no monthly minimum, seat fees, or contract.
Multiple integration paths: API, SDKs for five frameworks or platforms, an MCP server, and ready-made integrations can fit different technical setups.
Check-level billing can complicate cost control: Declined sessions may still contain billable checks, so session outcomes do not necessarily align with charges.
Enterprise requires an annual contract: Committed-volume terms and custom pricing may not suit buyers who need low-volume flexibility.

Alternatives

Shufti is worth comparing for teams seeking a free plan with a free trial; its free tier covers up to 10 verifications monthly, far fewer than Didit's 500 full KYC verifications.

Vouched is a paid alternative with a free trial, while Didit offers a free plan and pay-as-you-go pricing.

iDenfy may suit teams that want a paid plan combining ID, face match, liveness, white-label customization, and API, SDK, and no-code options; its stated minimum is $135 monthly.

Sumsub is another paid option, with a Basic plan at a $149 monthly commitment that includes ID verification, liveness and face match, email and phone verification, Sumsub ID, and reusable KYC. Didit's free tier and lack of a pay-as-you-go minimum may suit smaller or less predictable workloads better.

Veriff is an alternative for buyers considering hybrid AI and specialist review, video recording, and its listed risk tools, with a $99 monthly minimum.

HyperVerge Identity Verification offers a free sandbox trial for a one-month startup plan.

Alloy Embedded is another paid alternative to consider.

Entrust Certificate Manager is a paid alternative available on web, Linux, and self-hosted platforms.

Verdict

Didit is a compelling starting point for fintechs and marketplaces that need several identity and fraud workflows behind one API: its 500-verification free tier and no-minimum pay-as-you-go plan keep entry costs flexible. Choose it when that breadth and flexibility matter; look elsewhere if check-level charges on declined sessions or an annual enterprise commitment conflict with your cost controls.
