Overview

Onro combines dispatcher controls, driver tools and customer ordering and tracking. It supports on-demand, scheduled, pickup-only, delivery-only, pickup-and-delivery, hub-based and multi-stop work, so it can serve businesses handling more than one kind of delivery rather than only a single operating pattern.

Founded in 2019 and based in Kaunas, Lithuania, Onro says the product debuted after five years of experience designing shipping software. That history is relevant context, but the practical case rests on whether its workflow breadth fits the operation.

Key features

Dispatch, routes and driver work

Dispatchers can assign orders manually or automatically, monitor drivers and orders in real time, and optimize multi-drop routes. Vehicle dispatch, territory management and live location tracking extend that operational view. These tools suit teams coordinating active delivery fleets; businesses with simple, low-volume routing may not need the full set.

The driver app supports route execution, barcode scanning, proof of delivery through signatures and photos, cash on delivery and earnings tracking. That range gives drivers tools for both completing deliveries and recording outcomes, including cash collection.

Customer ordering, communication and integrations

Customers can book and track orders through web and mobile apps, receive SMS, email and WhatsApp updates, chat with the team and drivers, and pay through a payment gateway. Bringing these interactions together can simplify the customer-facing side of delivery operations, though app publishing carries a cost.

The integrations directory covers 78 integrations across categories including SMS and payment gateways, POS, support, CRM, mapping, email, VoIP, automation and accounting. Named services include Stripe, PayPal, Google Maps, Shopify and WooCommerce. This breadth may help connect an existing business stack, but custom integrations can incur development costs.

Security, privacy and support

Onro says it encrypts data in transit and at rest, does not store passwords in plain text, and supports role-based access groups. It says it does not sell customer data, limits sharing to vendors needed to operate the service, and responds to EEA residents’ GDPR rights requests within a month.

For healthcare delivery operations, Onro says it supports HIPAA workflows and will sign a Business Associate Agreement; its stated safeguards include role-based access, encryption, optional call masking and digital proof of delivery. Onro also says it provides timely support, releases updates almost monthly, and maintains setup, customization, integration and troubleshooting guides in its help center.

Pricing

Onro has a free demo option and a paid Business plan starting at 239.00 USD per month, billed monthly. Business includes 1,500 deliveries, so operators should compare that allowance with their expected volume before committing. The demo is described both as fully customizable with all features and unlimited orders, users and drivers, and as unlimited demo use; both descriptions say no credit card is required.

Enterprise has custom pricing and includes everything in Business, plus white-label customer portal, customer apps and driver apps, custom domains, and removal of Onro branding. It may suit businesses that need a branded experience, but it has a minimal setup fee. App publishing and custom integration development may also add costs, so the headline subscription is not the only budget consideration.

Platforms

Onro supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The combination spans mobile apps, browser-based operations and programmatic integration, useful for companies coordinating office dispatch and drivers on the road.

Who it's for

Onro identifies on-demand delivery firms, food delivery businesses, pickup-and-delivery companies, ecommerce businesses, couriers, beverage businesses, laundries and pharmacies as potential customers. Its varied workflow support makes it most compelling for operators with multiple delivery patterns, customer updates and driver coordination needs. A smaller operation with few deliveries may find the Business allowance or additional costs harder to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros

Supports seven delivery patterns, including scheduled, hub-based and multi-stop work, giving mixed operations room to use one platform.
Combines dispatch, driver proof of delivery, customer tracking and messaging, and payment support across the delivery lifecycle.
78 integrations span common business categories, with named options including Stripe, PayPal, Shopify and WooCommerce.
The free demo offers unlimited demo use without a credit card, allowing evaluation before a paid subscription.

Cons

Business includes 1,500 deliveries, a material constraint for higher-volume operators.
App publishing, Enterprise setup and custom integration development can add costs beyond the monthly plan.
Enterprise pricing is custom, making cost comparison less direct than the fixed-price Business plan.

Alternatives

Consider Dispatch Software or Delivery Management Software to compare options across those categories. Fieldified is worth considering if a freemium option with scheduling, invoicing, CRM and reporting is a closer fit. Choose Super Dispatch if its free Carrier TMS Lite driver app and limited dashboard better match your needs. Resgrid may suit teams seeking a free, self-hostable platform, with its free tier capped at 10 entities and limited to US-West/North America.

Shipday is an option for businesses that can work within its free Basic tier of up to 300 orders per month and 10 driver accounts. Odyssee Field Service may fit service businesses preferring an Essential plan priced at 35.00 EUR per month per user, with a three-user minimum. TruckLogics is another paid option for operators managing one or two trucks, with an Owner Operator plan priced at 35.96 USD per year. FieldOpt offers a self-hosted community edition for up to 25 technicians, while TruckingOffice is an alternative for trucking operations with a paid ELD subscription.

Verdict

Onro is a strong candidate for delivery companies that need varied workflows, live dispatch oversight, capable driver tools and customer-facing ordering and updates in one platform. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; the 1,500-delivery Business allowance and potential extra charges are the main reasons to look elsewhere or confirm costs first.
