Overview

EaseUS Todo PCTrans is a Windows utility for moving applications, user accounts and personal files to another PC or disk. It is best suited to people setting up a replacement computer who want to move programs and settings as well as files. The free edition is useful for a small move, but its caps make paid licensing the practical choice for a fuller migration.

Key features

Three modes cover different migration jobs: PC-to-PC transfer, Backup & Restore, and App Migration. Selective transfer lets users choose what to move, which is useful when a new computer needs only some of the old system’s contents rather than a wholesale copy.

Applications and files: The tool moves programs as well as personal data to a new PC or disk. That broader scope can reduce manual reinstallation and file copying, but the Free edition allows only five programs and 2 GB of data.
Accounts and settings: Pro can migrate accounts, passwords, profiles, personalization and settings. This is the stronger case for paying: carrying over that context can save setup work on a replacement PC.
Backup destinations: Backup files can be saved to a computer, USB external drive, network drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. The range supports different workflows, from removable storage to cloud storage.
Unbootable-PC recovery: Pro can transfer files and programs from the old hard drive of an unbootable computer. That makes it relevant when a PC no longer starts, though dead-computer recovery is excluded from Free.
Security and support: EaseUS says it uses encryption and other measures to protect data in transit and at rest. The purchase page advertises instant live chat and email support within 24 hours, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Todo PCTrans supports Windows PCs, including Windows 11 in Pro. The company behind it, EaseUS, was formally established in 2004.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes account transfer, but caps transfers at 2 GB and five programs. It also excludes dead-computer recovery and program-key scanning. That makes it a reasonable fit for a small, selective move, not a full PC transition.

Plan	Price and term	Best fit
Todo PCTrans Pro Monthly	49.95 USD per month; auto-renewing, cancel anytime	A short-term migration where one license for two computers and one month of free upgrades is enough.
Todo PCTrans Pro Yearly	59.95 USD per year; auto-renewing, cancel anytime	Users who want one license for two computers and one year of free upgrades. The longer term costs less than two monthly payments.
Todo PCTrans Pro Lifetime Upgrades	69.95 USD per once	Users who prefer a one-time purchase for one license covering two computers, with lifetime free upgrades.
Todo PCTrans Server	299.00 USD per year, billed 1-Year	A server migration covered by one license for two servers.
Todo PCTrans Technician	399.00 USD per year, billed 1-Year	Technicians serving multiple clients; one license covers multiple PCs or servers and includes multiple-client service.

Pro's monthly, yearly and lifetime options all cover two computers, but differ sharply in term and upgrade coverage. Server and Technician are business licenses rather than substitutes for an individual PC plan. The purchase page's 30-day money-back guarantee offers a limited way to reconsider a purchase; the Pro Monthly plan can also be canceled anytime.

Platforms

Todo PCTrans is for Windows. Pro supports Windows 11, while the Free comparison describes transfer support for Windows PCs.

Who it's for

Choose it when moving to a new Windows PC or disk and you need to bring selected programs, files and, with Pro, user accounts and settings. It is also a candidate for recovering files and programs from an unbootable computer’s old drive. Skip it if the move exceeds Free’s data or program caps and a paid plan is not justified, or if your migration is not Windows-based.

Pros and cons

Pro: PC transfer, backup and app migration modes cover more than personal-file copying.
Pro: Backup destinations include local, removable, network and cloud storage.
Pro: Pro adds profile and settings transfer, plus recovery from an unbootable PC’s old drive.
Con: Free's 2 GB and five-program limits are restrictive for a complete migration.
Con: Free excludes dead-computer recovery and program-key scanning, so those needs require a paid plan.
Con: The monthly Pro price is 49.95 USD per month, a steep fit for a one-off move compared with the yearly and lifetime options.

Verdict

Todo PCTrans is a strong fit for Windows users who want one tool to move selected applications, files and, on Pro, account settings between computers or disks. Its recovery option and multiple backup destinations widen its usefulness. Look elsewhere if Free’s caps are too restrictive and the paid plans do not suit a one-off migration, or if you need a platform beyond Windows.
