Overview

MyOrderBox is a restaurant ordering and delivery platform built around linking the ePOS, kitchen and delivery operation. It is best suited to takeaways and restaurant groups that already run their own drivers. The central trade-off is clear: it coordinates the work, but it does not supply the delivery fleet.

Key features

Orders move from the ePOS to the driver app, where drivers can manage grouped deliveries on a map. Automatic grouping and order-specific address labels help organize multi-order runs; route optimization, postcode lookup, caller ID, performance monitoring and driver payments extend the system beyond dispatch. These tools are most useful when a restaurant has enough delivery volume to manage drivers as an ongoing operation.

Kitchen timing ties preparation to dispatch. The ePOS can send an order to the kitchen when its driver is a specified time away, after which the Kitchen Display System tells staff when to start preparing it. That can help coordinate food with collection, though the workflow depends on a useful estimate of the driver’s arrival.

Customers can receive order-status updates and track drivers in real time through the app or website. MyOrderBox also integrates with Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo; aggregator connections include providers such as Deliverect and Hubrise. That makes it a plausible fit for restaurants receiving orders through multiple channels.

The maker offers branded ordering apps for iOS and Android, and the driver app runs on both systems. The ePOS can continue working offline and sync when connectivity returns, but online access is needed to receive online orders. Driver location may be collected while the app runs and a delivery is accepted or underway; disabling location prevents drivers from accepting or completing deliveries. MyOrderBox says it follows GDPR principles and uses third-party payment providers without seeing or storing card or payment information.

Pricing

The Starter plan is 0.00 GBP per month, billed £0 per month. It includes unlimited orders from a restaurant’s own website and POS software for one terminal, making it a low-risk entry point for a small takeaway that can work within that setup. The trade-off is the one-terminal limit and the focus on orders from its own website.

Basic costs 29.00 GBP per month, billed £29 per month, and includes POS software for one terminal. It is aimed at takeaways wanting the basics, but the plan description does not promise the Starter plan’s unlimited own-website orders. Professional costs 59.00 GBP per month, billed £59 per month, and includes 3; it is positioned for takeaways seeking sales-boosting features. Enterprise costs 99.00 GBP per month, billed £99 per month, and adds multi-site support for brands and chains managing several locations. The plan descriptions do not define what the Professional count of 3 measures, so buyers should confirm that point before choosing it.

All customers receive email support and knowledge-base access; phone support is an add-on. Onboarding includes remote training. That gives new operators a starting point without making phone help part of the base offer.

Platforms

MyOrderBox supports Android, iOS, web and Windows. The mobile apps cover both sides of the operation: branded ordering for customers and delivery tools for drivers.

Who it's for

Takeaways with their own drivers are the clearest fit, particularly those coordinating kitchen timing and deliveries across several order sources. Enterprise is intended for multi-location brands and chains. Restaurants that rely on a third-party fleet rather than managing their own drivers should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Dispatch, kitchen timing and customer tracking share a connected workflow, helping a restaurant coordinate preparation with its own deliveries.
Pro: Route optimization, grouped runs, labels and driver performance tools address practical fleet-management tasks.
Pro: A free Starter plan provides unlimited orders from the restaurant’s own website, with POS for one terminal.
Con: The restaurant must provide its own drivers, so the software does not solve the staffing or fleet-supply problem.
Con: Online orders require connectivity even though the ePOS can operate offline.
Con: Phone support costs extra, and the Professional plan’s included count is not defined.

Alternatives

Restaurant Delivery Management Software is a useful place to compare options across the category. APPY Delivery is worth considering for a free QR menu capped at 50 products and one active location, or a 7.50 EUR per month annual-billed Smart plan. GoSufra may suit a single branch seeking a free POS, kitchen, inventory and recipe toolkit, with up to five users. Lunchbox is another freemium option for operators with one or two locations.

Shipday is a fit for teams wanting to try a delivery platform free for 14 days without a credit card; its free Basic plan covers up to 300 orders per month and 10 driver accounts. Ordering.co is a paid option with a free trial and plans described in store and order capacities. Restroship starts at 149.00 USD per month for one restaurant location, with a branded customer app and online ordering and pickup. Cartwheel costs 99.00 USD per month for 400 deliveries, then charges $0.25 per order. Kappino is a paid alternative whose Starter plan costs 99.00 EUR per month for a main branch, three staff accounts and Help Centre support.

Verdict

MyOrderBox is a strong candidate for takeaways and restaurant groups that already employ drivers and need one system to coordinate orders, kitchen preparation and customer updates. Its free entry plan and delivery-specific tools make it practical to consider before committing to paid service. Look elsewhere if you need a provider to supply drivers, or if online ordering must continue through an internet outage.
