Overview

eHopper combines checkout with inventory, vendor orders, tax rates, employee time clocks, and staff activity management. Its reports cover sales, inventory, customers, staff activity, and transactions, giving owners useful operational visibility beyond the till. Support for multiple locations and staff permissions suits businesses with more than one site or distinct team roles.

Key features

Inventory, customers, and staff

The free POS page describes unlimited products, categories, employee accounts, and inventory tracking for prices, quantities, and vendors. That breadth can help a small business manage core operations without an immediate product or staff-account cap. Customer information collected at checkout can support remarketing and outreach, though businesses should consider how they handle that information.

Employee time clocks and activity management address staff oversight, while permissions can help separate responsibilities. Reports spanning sales, stock, customer information, staff activity, and transactions give owners several ways to review operations.

Restaurant ordering and accounting

Restaurants can take pickup, delivery, and dine-in orders through online ordering that syncs with eHopper POS. The page lists $0.00 gateway, commission, hosting, SSL, and customer support fees, but a minimum service fee of $29.99 per month may apply if processing revenue does not reach that amount. Card processing is interchange plus 1% +29c per transaction. Authorize.net, Nuvei, Stripe, and PayPal are supported options. The fee condition and processing charge matter for restaurants comparing the cost with their order volume.

QuickBooks Online integration synchronizes sales, inventory, and revenue data, but requires both a Freedom account and a QuickBooks Plus account. That requirement makes it less convenient for businesses already using a different eHopper plan or QuickBooks tier.

Offline use and hosting

The Windows POS can continue operating offline and upload data to a cloud server. For online ordering, eHopper says it includes SSL, CDN, hosting, system monitoring, and backups. Support requests go through email at support@ehopper.com.

Pricing

eHopper uses a freemium model with a free plan and trial. Paid plans are priced monthly:

Plan	Price	Best suited to
Essential Plus	14.99 USD per month	Businesses needing a paid POS plan at the lowest listed monthly price.
Freedom	24.99 USD per month	Businesses that need the account required for QuickBooks Online syncing.
Restaurant	29.99 USD per month	Restaurant operators considering eHopper’s ordering tools alongside the POS.
OmniChannel	39.99 USD per month	Businesses seeking the plan associated with the 30-day OmniChannel demo.

The plan prices are billed monthly. The free POS page describes generous product, category, and employee-account limits, but the available plan details do not establish how paid-plan features differ, so buyers should match requirements to the plan before committing. The OmniChannel demo lasts 30 days, and its data is lost after that period unless the user upgrades. Online ordering may also carry the $29.99 monthly minimum service fee when processing does not generate that revenue.

Platforms

eHopper supports Android, iOS, web, and Windows. Offline operation is specifically described for the Windows POS.

Who it's for

eHopper makes sense for small retail and restaurant businesses that want inventory and employee management alongside sales, reporting, and support for multiple locations. Restaurants can add synced online orders, provided the processing terms fit their volumes. Businesses that rely on QuickBooks Online should account for the Freedom and QuickBooks Plus requirements. It is less compelling for buyers who want a tightly defined plan comparison or do not need its broader operations tools.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free POS page describes unlimited products, categories, and employee accounts, avoiding those specific caps for small operators.
Pros: Reports cover sales, inventory, customer information, staff activity, and transactions, useful for owners reviewing several parts of the business.
Pros: Restaurants can sync pickup, delivery, and dine-in orders with the POS.
Pros: Windows POS can continue operating offline and upload data later.
Cons: Online ordering can incur a $29.99 monthly minimum service fee if processing does not generate that revenue, in addition to per-transaction card processing.
Cons: QuickBooks Online syncing requires a Freedom account and QuickBooks Plus, restricting which existing setups can use the integration.
Cons: OmniChannel demo data is lost after 30 days unless the user upgrades, making the trial unsuitable for retaining a long-term working setup.

Verdict

Choose eHopper if you run a small shop or restaurant and want one POS for sales, inventory, staff management, and reporting, with online ordering available for restaurants. Its strongest case is the breadth of operational tools and support for multiple locations. Look elsewhere if the conditional ordering minimum, QuickBooks account requirements, or the OmniChannel demo’s data loss make its terms a poor fit.
