Overview

Quizbot turns uploaded material or a topic into quizzes and tests with answer keys. It accepts PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents, web links, videos, images, text and audio, then generates multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, true/false, open-ended, calculation, matching or mixed questions. That breadth is useful when material is scattered across formats or a learner wants more than recall questions. The free plan’s 10-question batch cap, however, makes larger sets more cumbersome to create.

Key features

Quizbot’s learning features extend the product beyond one-off quiz creation. Concept-level performance feedback, personalized study plans, AI explanations, spaced-repetition reviews and daily practice sessions support continued revision. That combination suits learners who want a structured way to revisit material; people who only need occasional questions may not get as much from the added study layer.

Notebook lets users upload course materials and chat with an AI assistant described as trained on those materials. The free allowance is one notebook with up to two sources, a modest starting point for a single course but a constraint for anyone organizing several subjects.

Quizzes and answer keys can be exported to Word and PDF, Google Classroom, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Kahoot and Aiken. The range gives teachers and organizations several routes into classroom and quiz workflows, while individual learners can keep a document copy. Quizbot also has Android and iOS apps alongside its web version.

Quizbot says uploaded files are parsed to a temporary cache, sent to its AI model and removed after questions are successfully created. Its privacy policy says data in transit is encrypted with SSL/TLS, access is restricted, and payment information is handled by PCI-compliant third parties. It describes GDPR rights for EU, EEA and UK users; after account deletion, data is permanently deleted immediately, though encrypted backups may retain it for up to 30 days.

Pricing

The Free plan costs $0 forever and provides 50 questions per month, one Notebook with up to two sources, and batches of up to 10 questions. Quizbot advertises this as a free trial in its FAQ, but it also describes the plan as free forever and says no credit card is required. It is useful for trying the workflow or occasional study, but the monthly quota and small batch size are restrictive for sustained use.

The Standard Plan costs $7.50 per month and includes 2,000 questions and 50 high-quality images. It is the entry paid tier for regular quiz creation, though the question allowance remains finite. The Pro Plan costs $12.50 per month and raises that to unlimited questions and 100 high-quality images, making it better suited to frequent use. The Educator Plan costs $18.50 per month, with unlimited questions and 300 high-quality images; the larger image allowance is the clearest distinction for educators producing more visual material.

For users who prefer a fixed question bundle to a monthly plan, the 2,000 Questions Package and 4,000 Questions Package each remain valid for six months and include 50 and 100 high-quality images respectively; both have custom pricing. The 10,000 Questions Package costs $70.00 per one-time payment, is valid for six months and does not state an image allowance. These packages may suit a defined project, but their six-month validity makes them less flexible for sporadic use.

Platforms

Quizbot is available on web, Android and iOS. The mobile apps make it accessible beyond a desktop browser, while the export options connect quiz content to several classroom platforms.

Who it's for

Quizbot serves students, tutors, teachers, schools, companies and organizations. Students can turn varied study material into practice and use the revision features; tutors and educators can prepare question sets and export them into teaching workflows. The free plan is a sensible starting point for light use. Frequent creators should compare the paid question allowances and image counts with their needs before choosing a tier.

Pros and cons

Broad input and question coverage: support for documents, links, video, images, text and audio, plus seven question styles, accommodates varied source material and practice goals.
Study features beyond generation: feedback, study plans, explanations, spaced repetition and daily practice make it useful for continued revision, not just quiz production.
Many export destinations: Word, PDF and several learning platforms give teachers and organizations practical ways to reuse generated quizzes.
Free plan caps regular use: 50 questions per month, 10 per batch and one Notebook with two sources may be too limiting for multiple courses or frequent creation.
Paid tiers differ by quotas and image allowance: readers need to weigh the Standard question cap against the higher monthly cost of unlimited-question plans.

Alternatives

QuizFlight is another freemium option, with a free session for up to 20 participants before the limit drops to five; consider it when participant capacity is central to the choice. IntelliAssess offers a free web plan for up to 25 students, with question allowances varying by AI provider, making it worth considering for a small class. PDFNoob is a free option across Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows for users seeking a broader PDF tool rather than Quizbot’s study-focused feature set. PDFQuiz has a no-account allowance of 10 questions and a free-account tier of three quizzes with 10 questions each; it may suit someone who wants a tightly scoped document-to-quiz workflow. QuizFlex AI offers voice notes and transcription on its Plus plan, so it is an alternative for users prioritizing those capabilities. QuizPilot offers free quiz creation on iOS and web without a card. Dende has a free plan with one file upload and limited questions, while its Premium plan costs 6.90 EUR per month for unlimited uploads and all questions. Revisely has a free Basic plan with a five-page document-upload cap and a 25,000-character text-upload cap, which may fit users working within those limits.

Verdict

Quizbot is a strong fit for students, tutors and educators who need to turn varied course material into questions and then support ongoing revision. Its broad input and export options, paired with study features, are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if your use is frequent but the monthly question and Notebook limits do not fit, or if you need a simpler, narrower quiz workflow.
