Overview

Enflux combines information from learning management systems, assessment tools, surveys and exam results, with views from institution-level performance to individual student progress. Its dashboards cover student performance, advising, assessment analysis and accreditation reporting. That connected view can help teams relate outcomes to the assessments and curriculum behind them, but may be more than a program needs if it is looking for just one reporting tool.

A single instance can support multiple programs, specializations or university systems, with filters for campuses and programs. The cloud service runs online without local installation, updates or dedicated IT setup, which can reduce deployment work. Enflux says it stores data on AWS with encryption in transit and at rest, is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and FERPA compliant, and provides HECVAT and VPAT documentation. Single sign-on supports centralized access to student data.

Key features

Analytics and early alerts

Custom dashboards, predictive analytics, learner risk scoring and intervention alerts help teams monitor performance and identify students who may need support. Early-alert dashboards surface risk indicators in real time, giving advisors a basis for proactive outreach. These capabilities are useful when a program can turn signals into timely advising; the platform does not replace the follow-up work itself.

Competency mapping and accreditation

CompetencyGenie uses AI to tag ExamSoft exam items, classify competencies and support curriculum alignment against discipline-specific frameworks and competency-based models. Its Chrome extension is specifically for ExamSoft users, so institutions using other assessment tools should not assume the same workflow applies. Enflux also aligns curriculum, assessments and student outcomes to accreditation standards, with reporting and audit trails that can help programs organize evidence for review.

Integrations and operations

Named integrations and partners include ExamSoft, Canvas, CORE Higher Education Group, Blackboard, PeopleAdmin and GoCulture. The platform’s usefulness will depend in part on whether an institution’s systems and processes fit those connections. Enflux says initial onboarding can be completed within a week, while most customers finish within 30 days of signing; administrative users can schedule training with a Customer Success Manager. Live chat runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm CST, with email support also available.

Pricing

CompetencyGenie Chrome extension is free. It is the lower-commitment option for ExamSoft users who want to try the competency-tagging tool, but it is not the full Enflux analytics platform. No usage limit is stated for the extension.

The Enflux platform uses custom pricing; institutions must request a demo or assessment call. No platform price or trial length is stated. Because price is not published, institutions should establish the cost and scope for their programs before comparing it with other analytics options. Enflux is a paid product overall, with the extension available free.

Platforms

Enflux is available on the web, and CompetencyGenie is also available as a Chrome extension for ExamSoft users. Its cloud deployment avoids local software installation, but the extension’s ExamSoft focus limits its relevance to institutions using that assessment system.

Who it's for

Enflux is aimed at academic leaders and health professions programs, including pharmacy, physician assistant, medical, dental, nursing, physical therapy and allied health programs. It is a stronger fit for institutions coordinating advising, assessment, curriculum alignment and accreditation across one or more programs than for teams seeking only a general-purpose analytics dashboard.

Pros and cons

Pro: Connected data and dashboards span student progress, assessment, advising and accreditation, giving program leaders a broader basis for decisions.
Pro: Multi-program filters and early alerts support institutions managing several campuses or specializations and intervening with students at risk.
Pro: CompetencyGenie links ExamSoft item tagging to curriculum alignment, a focused benefit for programs using ExamSoft.
Con: The main platform is custom-priced, so institutions cannot judge cost from a published price before contacting Enflux.
Con: CompetencyGenie’s Chrome extension is for ExamSoft users, narrowing its usefulness for programs using other assessment systems.

Alternatives

Compare learning analytics software if you want to explore the wider category before choosing a platform.

DHIS2-Ed is a free, open-source Android and web option; choose it if avoiding a paid platform matters and your institution can provide the technical infrastructure it requires.
SAS Visual Statistics is a paid, enterprise-scale statistical modeling option on SAS Viya; consider it when statistical modeling is the priority rather than Enflux’s health-program advising and accreditation focus.
EdOptimize is a free, self-hosted GPLv3 option; choose it if open-source deployment suits your needs and you can meet the license requirement to disclose source code for modifications and copies.
AnalyticVue is a paid web and API platform with sales-set subscription fees and user counts; consider it if that customer-schedule approach better fits your institution.
D2L Brightspace is a paid platform whose customized pricing depends on learners, licenses, features, add-ons and services; consider it when that scope-based pricing model is a better fit.
PowerSchool Behavior Support is a paid Android, iOS and web option; consider it if you are looking for that product instead.
Blackboard Learn is a paid institution-focused LMS with AI Design Assistant and AI Conversation in its core license; consider it when an LMS is the need, rather than Enflux’s analytics and accreditation emphasis.
Civitas Learning Student Impact Platform is a paid web platform billed through an annual subscription shaped by institution size, scope and integrated systems; consider it if that subscription model suits your institution.

Verdict

Choose Enflux if you lead a health professions program or institution that needs a shared view of student performance, assessment, advising and accreditation, especially if ExamSoft competency mapping is central to the work. Its specialized workflows and multi-program support are the main reasons to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if you need only one narrow tool, do not use ExamSoft for CompetencyGenie, or need a published platform price before engaging a vendor.
