Overview

FAX.PLUS is an online fax service for individuals and organizations that need to send and receive faxes across web, mobile and connected workflows. It is best suited to users who want fax numbers and international reach alongside options for growing page volumes and team administration. Its main trade-off is that free use is brief, while higher quotas and multi-member access require paid plans.

Users can choose local, toll-free or international fax numbers, or port an existing number. The service supports inbound faxing and sending to more than 180 countries, with numbers available in 48 countries. That breadth makes it useful for cross-border work, though the plan page limits still matter for regular high-volume use.

Key features

FAX.PLUS works through web, desktop, Android, iOS, email, Google and multifunction printers. Its integrations include Google Workspace, Microsoft, Slack, Zapier, Teams, cloud storage and APIs, giving teams options to fit faxing into existing workflows rather than treating it as a separate task.

For organizations, the admin console manages members, roles, fax-number access and usage limits. Security provisions include 256-bit AES encryption for stored documents and TLS 1.2 or higher for transfers. Faxes can be stored in a selected region among more than 40 options, and the service cites SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA compliance support. These controls make it a stronger fit for organizations with administration or data-handling requirements than a basic send-only service.

Fax broadcasting can send one document securely to as many as 500 recipients with delivery tracking. AI features can convert faxes into searchable text and structured data. Each fax can contain up to 10 files, with a 30MB maximum file size. These capabilities broaden the service beyond simple fax delivery, but the per-fax page caps vary by plan and may constrain larger documents.

Pricing

The free plan is free and includes 10 pages total. It is suitable for occasional or trial use, not a recurring workload. Paid plans include a 30-day free period. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew once a year, and annual billing can provide up to three months free, saving up to 22%.

Plan	Price and allowance	Included access and per-fax limit
Basic	6.99 USD per month, billed monthly; 200 pages per month	One fax number, one member, 60 pages maximum per fax
Premium	13.99 USD per month, billed monthly; 500 pages per month	One fax number, one member, 90 pages maximum per fax
Business	27.99 USD per month, billed monthly; 1,000 pages per month	Multiple fax numbers, five members, 200 pages maximum per fax
Enterprise	79.99 USD per month, billed monthly; 4,000 pages per month	Multiple fax numbers, unlimited members, 250 pages maximum per fax

Basic is the entry point for one person who needs a number and a modest monthly allowance, but its 60-page fax ceiling is the tightest paid-plan limit. Premium more than doubles the allowance and raises that ceiling to 90 pages, while still covering only one member and one number. Business is the practical step up for small teams: it adds multiple numbers and five members, with a higher quota and 200-page fax limit. Enterprise is for larger teams or heavier use, combining unlimited members with 4,000 pages per month and the largest per-fax allowance. Compare the monthly allowance and per-fax cap with expected use before choosing; the latter can restrict a single large transmission even when pages remain in the monthly quota.

Platforms

The listed platforms include Android, iOS and web. Broader support extends to desktop, email, Google and multifunction printers, so the service can accommodate mobile users as well as office workflows.

Who it's for

FAX.PLUS suits individuals who need a recurring fax number and businesses that want inbound faxing, international sending, integrations and central control over team access. Its security, regional-storage and compliance-support provisions may be relevant to organizations handling sensitive documents. Occasional users may find the 10-page lifetime free allowance too small, while teams needing multiple members must move beyond Basic or Premium.

Pros and cons

Pros: Number choices, number porting and inbound faxing make it workable as an ongoing fax line, not just an outbound tool.
Pros: Sending to more than 180 countries and number availability in 48 countries support international workflows.
Pros: Admin controls, integrations and plans with multiple numbers or members support shared business use.
Pros: Encryption, regional storage and cited compliance support provide useful controls for organizations with data-handling needs.
Cons: The free tier stops at 10 pages total, limiting its value for continuing use.
Cons: Basic and Premium include only one member and one fax number, so collaboration requires a higher-priced tier.
Cons: Per-fax maximums range from 60 to 250 pages, which can constrain large documents independently of the monthly page allowance.

Alternatives

Dropbox Fax (formerly HelloFax) is worth considering for web-only, send-focused use: its free option offers five outbound pages, with up to 20 additional pages earnable, while inbound faxing requires a paid account. Choose FAX.PLUS instead when receiving faxes, mobile apps, number options or larger stated monthly allowances matter.

FaxTerra offers a free plan with 10 pages monthly to the US and Canada, plus Android, iOS and web support. It may suit a low-volume user focused on those destinations; FAX.PLUS is the better fit when broader international reach or team administration is needed.

Browserfax offers 20 free pages and a 25-page pack for 4.00 USD per month, billed as a one-time payment. Its free-page wording says the pages do not expire, making it an option for users who prefer an occasional-use web service.

ETHERFAX is an alternative for buyers considering a paid fax service with API, desktop and self-hosted platform options; pricing is custom.

FaxBurner has a free plan with a disposable number, 25 inbound pages per month and five outbound pages total. It may fit users prioritizing a temporary receiving number rather than a paid, ongoing plan.

OVHcloud Fax offers an EcoFax Pro plan at 0.99 EUR per month, billed monthly, with email and PC sending and receiving and a dedicated number. Consider it when that plan's stated channels and number suit the need.

WestFax offers a Solo plan at 14.99 USD per month for 500 pages and one user license, and a five-user Team plan. It is an alternative for buyers comparing paid plans with those stated page and seat counts.

GotFreeFax offers free web faxing capped at three pages per fax and two faxes per day, plus pay-per-fax options. It may suit infrequent senders who prefer a per-fax option over a monthly allowance.

Verdict

FAX.PLUS is a strong choice for individuals and organizations that need a real fax number, inbound service and a path from solo use to team-managed, international faxing. Its combination of integrations, administration, regional storage and higher-volume plans is the central reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if only a handful of free pages will do, or if your workload depends on sending a fax larger than your chosen plan's per-fax limit.
