Overview

Krock.io combines media review with project coordination for creative teams, particularly production companies, agencies, animation studios, and content creators. Its strongest case is a workflow where feedback, approvals, and production planning need to sit together; teams seeking only a lightweight proofing tool may not need that breadth.

Reviewers can comment on video, images, audio, and PDFs—including multi-page PDFs—with text, drawings, attachments, and time-codes. Teams also get approval workflows, version comparison, guest reviewers, and custom reviewer roles. The combination is useful for keeping feedback tied to specific media while organizing the work around it, rather than treating review as a standalone step.

Key features

Media feedback and production tools

Time-coded comments make it easier to identify exactly where video changes are needed; drawings and attachments extend feedback beyond written notes. Coverage of images, audio, and PDFs makes the review workflow applicable to more than video alone. Approval workflows and version comparison support structured sign-off, while guest reviewers can participate without requiring every reviewer to be part of the core team.

Project templates, workspaces, workload Gantt charts, and a calendar view add planning and coordination tools. This breadth is an advantage for teams that want review alongside project organization, but it may be more platform than a team needs if its main requirement is simply collecting comments.

Storyboards and integrations

Krock.io can generate storyboards from text, a useful bridge from written concepts to visual planning. Its integrations include Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, Slack, calendar sync, and webhooks, connecting review and coordination with creative tools and team communication.

Security and support

Media is stored on Amazon S3, and core application servers run on DigitalOcean IaaS. Krock.io says data in transit uses 256-bit HTTPS/SSL encryption and account and project data are encrypted in databases. Two-factor authentication is supported for individual accounts. The company also says user content is not used to train AI models and is not disclosed to third parties unless required by law.

All plans include standard customer support, with a stated response aim of 1–2 business days. Recommended browser requirements are Chrome 84+, Firefox 70+, Safari 14.1+, or Edge 84+; the recommended operating systems are Windows 7+ and macOS 10.15 Catalina+.

Pricing

Krock.io has a free plan, paid plans, and a 7-day trial. The free tier is a useful way for one person to assess the workflow, but its caps make it a poor fit for an active team: it allows one user, 2 GB of storage, one workspace, two projects, and 50 AI Tokens. Unlimited reviewers are included, so outside feedback is less constrained than the core team's capacity.

PRO costs 10.00 USD per month, billed per user. It allows unlimited team size, unlimited projects and workspaces, and includes 4K playback, custom branding, and storage from 2Tb. This is the natural step up for teams that outgrow the free project's or storage limits, but per-user billing means the price grows with the team.

UNLIMITED costs 400.00 USD per month, billed from $400 / 100 Users Included. It includes unlimited collaborators and reviewers, projects, and workspaces, with a flat rate for an unlimited team. That structure is aimed at larger groups that want predictable team pricing rather than a per-user charge; it is a substantial commitment for small teams.

PRO and UNLIMITED customers can add 1 TB of storage for $10 per month; storage add-ons are not available on Free. Standard support is included across plans.

Platforms

Krock.io is available on the web, as an extension, and for macOS and Windows. Its recommended browser and operating-system versions provide a practical compatibility baseline for teams assessing existing devices.

Who it's for

Krock.io is best suited to creative teams that review several kinds of media and also want workspaces, project templates, schedules, and workload planning in the same platform. Agencies and studios coordinating guest feedback may particularly value the reviewer options and approval workflow. A solo user can start free, but the one-user, two-project, and 2 GB caps make that tier an evaluation option rather than a roomy production workspace.

It is less compelling for teams that need only basic proofing or whose main concern is minimizing recurring cost as their team grows. PRO charges per user, and the free tier's small project and storage allowances can make an upgrade necessary once a real team adopts it.

Pros and cons

Pros: Review covers video, images, audio, and PDFs, with time-codes, drawings, and attachments to make feedback precise across formats.
Pros: Approval workflows, version comparison, guest reviewers, and custom roles help structure review and sign-off.
Pros: Storyboard generation, project planning tools, and creative-tool integrations bring production coordination alongside media review.
Cons: Free is limited to one user, two projects, one workspace, and 2 GB, so it has little headroom for a growing team.
Cons: PRO pricing is per user, while the flat-rate UNLIMITED plan starts at $400.00 USD per month, leaving a considerable gap between the entry tier and large-team option.
Cons: Free customers cannot add storage, which may be restrictive for media-heavy work.

Alternatives

Consider Ziflow if you want a free proofing tier for up to two users with unlimited proofs and reviewers; its free plan has a single workflow stage and 60 days of review history. Frame.io is another free option for up to two members, with two projects, 2GB storage, Camera to Cloud, transcription, and captions.

Choose Pastel if its free allowance of one user and one canvas better matches a small, focused workflow. StreamWork offers a free plan for two users, one workspace, and one project, with unlimited proof links and free reviewers. Approvallo may suit a team whose free-tier needs fit two active projects, one team member, and 500 MB of storage.

ReviewStudio is worth comparing if unlimited users and guests on a free plan matter more than having more than three active reviews and 5 GB total storage. WeProof offers a free plan with two team-member seats, one project, 5 GB, and unlimited reviewers. Filestage is an alternative with a free plan for one active project, five new files per month, two reviewer groups, ten team members, and 2 GB storage.

Verdict

Krock.io is a strong fit for creative teams that want detailed, multi-format media feedback and project organization in one platform. Its mix of annotations, approvals, planning tools, storyboarding, and creative integrations is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if the free plan's tight capacity is all you need, or if per-user PRO pricing does not suit a growing team.
