Overview

FOREVER is a family memory service for keeping photos, videos, and other personal archives in one place. It is strongest for families who want organization and sharing alongside long-term preservation. Choose it for its lifetime-plus-100-years guarantee; look elsewhere if you need RAW photo support or regularly store files over 4GB.

Key features

FOREVER’s mobile apps automatically back up photos and help organize them with albums, tags, people, and search. Sharing with friends and family makes the archive useful beyond the person who uploads it. Video tools add streaming, trimming, merging, and custom title covers, giving families ways to revisit and shape clips within their account.

The Valet desktop uploader supports batch uploads, keeps existing folder organization, and processes transfers in the background with retry support. That is a practical fit for moving an established collection without losing its folder structure. The firm constraint is file size: supported files must be under 4GB, and larger files require help from support. RAW photo support is not included, so photographers who rely on RAW files should consider another option.

FOREVER says memories are backed up across multiple locations and regions, uploads use SSL-encrypted transmission, and it does not sell personal information or sell advertising against users’ content. Its preservation guarantee covers the owner’s lifetime plus 100 years. Digitization and printing are also part of its family memory service.

Pricing

FOREVER uses a freemium model, but its paid storage is sold as a one-time investment rather than a recurring subscription. The 10GB plan costs 179.99 USD per once; 25GB costs 349.99 USD per once; 50GB costs 529.99 USD per once; 100GB costs 899.99 USD per once; 150GB costs 1299.99 USD per once; 250GB costs 1999.99 USD per once; 500GB costs 3499.99 USD per once; 1TB costs 5999.99 USD per once; and 2TB costs 10999.99 USD per once. The storage plans also offer 24 monthly installments.

The lower-capacity plans suit smaller family libraries, while larger archives require a substantial upfront commitment. The 25GB plan includes 2GB free with the first storage purchase. A free 2GB trial option is also offered, and FOREVER has a free plan. Artisan 6 and Historian 6 each have a 30-day free trial; those are separate products, not additional storage tiers.

Platforms

FOREVER is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web. Mobile backup and the Valet desktop uploader provide different routes for bringing a family collection into the service.

Who it's for

FOREVER is a sensible choice for families building a shared archive who value photo organization, video tools, and a long-term preservation commitment more than low-cost bulk storage. It is a weaker fit for people who need RAW support, have individual files at or above 4GB, or want a low-cost subscription rather than a large one-time storage purchase.

Pros and cons

Pro: The lifetime-plus-100-years preservation guarantee directly addresses long-term family archiving.
Pro: Albums, tags, people, search, and family sharing make the archive easier to curate and revisit.
Pro: Valet’s batch uploads, folder retention, and retry support help with transferring an existing desktop collection.
Con: Storage purchases start at 179.99 USD per once for 10GB, making the initial commitment significant.
Con: Files must be under 4GB, and RAW photo support is absent.

Alternatives

Photo Backup Software is a useful next step for comparing services across the category. Choose IDrive if you want a cross-platform backup alternative with a 10GB Basic tier or a 100GB one-user Mini plan at 0.25 USD per month. PhoneCopy is worth considering when contact, calendar, task, and note synchronization matter alongside media storage. Choose Ente Photos if a 10GB free tier or a 50GB Starter plan at 2.49 USD per month better suits your budget and storage needs. PhotoSync may suit a transfer-focused workflow, though its free tier excludes full-size transfer, RAW, NAS, and cloud features. Rawback is an option if you want a 5GB free tier with AI credits and face recognition. Pho may appeal if open-source sync is a priority. Immich is the alternative for users prepared to run their own server. Picture Keeper is another alternative for photo and video backup.

Verdict

FOREVER is best for families who want an organized, shareable archive backed by a long-term preservation guarantee. Its strongest reason to choose it is that preservation promise paired with practical curation tools. Its strongest reason to look elsewhere is the combination of high one-time storage costs, the under-4GB limit, and no RAW support.
