Overview

FIS Data Integrity Manager is a reconciliation system for organizations that need centralized control over data integrity and reconciliation work. It is aimed at reconciliation professionals in banking, insurance and capital markets, particularly teams managing complex, high-volume processes. Its appeal is the mix of learned matching and governed workflows; buying requires a conversation with sales.

Key features

The virtual reconciler uses machine learning to learn from manual matching patterns, then performs matching tasks for final review. That can reduce repetitive work without removing human oversight, making it a better fit for teams that want assistance than for those seeking fully unattended reconciliation.

An integrated workflow engine automates review, approvals, exception management and escalation. Reusable reconciliation models let teams define matching logic and approval levels, so recurring processes can follow a consistent structure. Status, ownership, approvals and progress against SLAs are tracked alongside audit capabilities. These controls suit organizations that need accountability across complex workflows, though they may be more than a simpler operation requires.

FIS’s Managed Reconciliation Service can host and maintain the solution, prepare data, and configure and run models. That gives organizations an option for operational support as well as software. FIS says the product can be accessed from any device or browser, online or from the desktop.

For Commonwealth Bank of Australia, FIS announced a Microsoft Azure SaaS deployment, with FIS managing upgrades and the solution expected to process more than 150 million transactions daily. The same announcement cited enterprise risk, security and compliance capabilities, including SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications, for that engagement. This demonstrates a large-scale deployment context, not a published capacity guarantee for every customer.

Pricing

FIS Data Integrity Manager is paid software with custom pricing; buyers need to contact sales. There is no free plan. This sales-led model may suit large organizations evaluating a managed, configurable reconciliation operation, but teams that need to compare fixed prices or start with a free tier will find the purchasing path less convenient.

Platforms

The platform is listed for web access and cloud deployment. FIS also describes access from any device or browser and from the desktop. The Azure SaaS arrangement announced for Commonwealth Bank included FIS-managed upgrades.

Who it's for

This is best suited to reconciliation professionals in banking, insurance, capital markets and other industries who need machine-learning-assisted matching, exception workflows and formal approval controls. Its managed service may also suit teams that want FIS to take on hosting, data preparation and model operations. Organizations with straightforward reconciliation needs, or those prioritizing self-service pricing, should consider a lighter or more transparent alternative.

Pros and cons

Pros: Learns manual matching patterns to assist matching while keeping tasks for final review.
Pros: Reusable models and workflow automation bring matching, approvals, exceptions and escalations into a structured process.
Pros: Tracking of ownership, status, approvals and SLA progress supports oversight and auditability.
Pros: A managed service can cover hosting, maintenance, data preparation and model operations.
Cons: Custom pricing requires sales contact, limiting straightforward price comparison.
Cons: Matching remains subject to final review, so the system is not a fully autonomous reconciliation solution.
