Overview

Fit It On combines AI fashion-image creation with virtual try-on for online shoppers. It is best suited to fashion brands and studios producing product visuals or adding try-on to a Shopify store. Its separate Shopify and studio plans make the choice clear, but neither workflow offers unlimited use.

Key features

Product to Model turns a single product image into an image of the garment on an AI model, a practical way to create on-model visuals without arranging a photoshoot for each image. The studio also includes prompt-based try-on, pose control, ghost mannequin and angle generation, background removal, quality enhancement, and image-to-video tools. Together, these cover more than basic garment previews, though credit consumption matters: try-on costs 1–3 credits, image generation 1–5, and video 6–12 depending on settings or duration. Video can draw down a monthly allocation quickly.

Users can create AI fashion models or upload their own faces for reuse across designs. That supports a consistent model identity across product work. Shopify merchants can add a try-on widget to product pages, using a floating icon or inline button. The developer API offers REST endpoints for image generation, virtual try-on, and custom model creation, with asynchronous jobs and webhooks, making it relevant to teams building an integration rather than relying only on the Shopify app.

Try-on photos are not used to train general AI models and can be deleted from the user gallery. The Shopify app uses TLS/SSL for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. Store and customer data is deleted within 180 days after uninstall, and merchants can request immediate deletion. These are useful privacy and security provisions, though the stated post-uninstall window may matter to merchants with stricter deletion requirements.

Pricing

Fit It On offers two distinct pricing tracks: Shopify plans meter monthly try-ons, while studio plans meter credits. Studio credits cover different amounts of work depending on the tool, so a quoted credit allowance is not a fixed image or video count.

Shopify Free: 0.00 USD per free, billed Free forever, with 30 try-ons per month, a try-on button on products, and email support. It is a sensible way for a small store to add the feature at no cost, but the monthly cap limits broader use.
Shopify Starter: 9.00 USD per month, billed $90/year and save 17%, with 100 try-ons per month, dashboard analytics, full customization, a floating icon, and email support. This suits a store moving beyond a small free allocation; it does not include the higher-volume allowances of the upper tiers.
Shopify Growth: 49.00 USD per month, billed $490/year and save 17%, with 650 try-ons per month, user analytics, priority processing, and all Starter plan features. It fits a growing store that needs substantially more try-ons and analytics.
Shopify Enterprise: 149.00 USD per month, billed $1,490/year and save 17%, with 2,000 try-ons per month, chat and email support, dedicated support, and all Growth plan features. The larger quota and dedicated help make it the Shopify choice for heavier usage, at a much higher monthly commitment.
Studio Starter: 15.00 USD per month, billed $150/year with 2 months free, with 150 credits per month, one team member, 4K image generation, all image-generation tools, preset models, video generation, custom model creation, and email support. It is the entry point for an individual creator, but the single seat and modest credit pool constrain collaborative or high-volume work.
Studio Pro: 29.00 USD per month, billed $290/year with 2 months free, with 300 credits per month, two team members, the same listed studio tools, and priority processing. It is a better fit for a small team or users whose workflows benefit from faster processing.
Studio Agency: 69.00 USD per month, billed $690/year with 2 months free, with 1,000 credits per month, five team members (more on request), the listed studio tools, priority processing, and dedicated support. It is aimed at agencies or studios coordinating more output and collaborators.

Shopify Free and Starter include email support; Shopify Enterprise adds chat and email support plus dedicated support. The free Shopify plan has a defined monthly cap, while every studio tier has a finite credit allowance. A free trial is available.

Platforms

Fit It On is available on the web and through an API. Shopify integration adds the product-page widget, while the API supports teams that need to connect image generation, try-on, or custom model creation to their own workflow.

Who it's for

Fashion ecommerce brands are the clearest fit, especially those that want both product imagery and shopper try-on without treating them as the same job. Solo creators can start with Studio Starter; growing teams can consider Studio Pro, and agencies or studios have a higher-seat option in Studio Agency. Merchants wanting only a small Shopify try-on pilot can start free. It is less suitable for buyers seeking uncapped generation or a single plan that combines unlimited store try-ons and studio output.

Pros and cons

Pro: A single product image can become an on-model visual, reducing the need to arrange a photoshoot for that image.
Pro: The studio combines image tools, video, reusable models, and custom model creation, giving fashion teams several related production workflows in one service.
Pro: Shopify widget display options and API access serve both store operators and teams building a custom integration.
Pro: Try-on photos are excluded from general AI training and can be deleted from the gallery; Shopify app data also has stated encryption and deletion provisions.
Con: Shopify plans cap monthly try-ons, and studio plans cap credits; video's 6–12 credit cost can make the studio allowance feel especially limited for video-heavy work.
Con: Studio Starter is limited to one team member, so collaboration requires a higher tier.
Con: Shopify store and customer data may remain for up to 180 days after uninstall unless a merchant requests immediate deletion.

Verdict

Choose Fit It On if you run a fashion store or studio and want product-image generation, reusable models, or shopper try-on in a workflow with both Shopify and API routes. Its strongest case is the combination of production tools and commerce integration, with a free Shopify tier for a capped trial. Look elsewhere if your expected output will routinely exceed the plan quotas or if the studio's credit-based limits do not suit your workload.
