Overview

Reelo is a customer engagement platform for restaurants that connects loyalty, guest information, and marketing activity to POS orders. It is best suited to restaurants seeking repeat business through targeted rewards and campaigns. The Forever Free plan provides a useful starting point, but Growth is needed for several tools that make loyalty and outreach more flexible.

Guest spend, visit history, average order value, and preferences can be updated from POS orders and used to segment audiences. Restaurants can build loyalty around points, cashback, free items, or tiered perks, with customizable branding. Reelo also supports referrals, feedback, review requests, and multichannel campaigns.

Key features

POS-linked customer insights: Order data feeds guest spend, visit history, average order value, and preferences into the CRM. That gives restaurants a basis for targeting customers by activity rather than treating the guest list as one audience.
Loyalty and referrals: Points, cashback, free items, and tiered perks accommodate different reward strategies. Branding can be customized, but custom loyalty programs and referral programs sit in Growth, limiting how far a Forever Free user can tailor the program.
Campaigns and segmentation: Reelo supports multichannel campaigns, segmentation, and automation. Its AI-powered campaigns are aimed at increasing average order value, re-engaging inactive customers, and upselling. Automated campaigns and smart campaigns are Growth features, so the free tier is better for basic outreach than a more automated marketing program.
Feedback and reviews: Feedback tools and review requests can help restaurants seek guest responses. Feedback tools are reserved for Growth.
POS connections: Reelo says it connects natively to more than 35 restaurant POS systems in India, including Petpooja, DotPe, eZee Optimus, AllPOS, and Ciferon. The API connection requires no new hardware and is usually set up within 24–48 hours, making it a practical fit for restaurants already using a supported system.
Mobile access: The Android and iOS app provides access to sales, feedback, campaigns, and customer sections. Reelo also supports web and API access.
Data and support: Google Play states that data is encrypted in transit and users can request deletion. Support questions can be sent to support@reelo.io or directed to +91-8238369641.

Pricing

Reelo uses a freemium model, with a Forever Free plan and a paid Growth plan. The Growth Plan has a 14-day free trial; after it ends, users can upgrade or continue on Forever Free.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best for
Forever Free	Free	SMS and email campaigns, customer insights, and business insights.	Restaurants beginning with customer data and basic campaign outreach.
Growth Yearly	3250.00 INR per month	Per outlet; branded loyalty, feedback and online reviews, automated and app campaigns, QR codes, referral program, and smart campaigns.	Restaurants that need loyalty, feedback, referrals, and more automated marketing.

The Growth price is billed monthly in the plan comparison; the pricing FAQ gives INR 39,000/outlet/per year + GST. Forever Free excludes customer data export, custom loyalty programs, feedback tools, automated campaigns, and custom QR codes, among other Growth features. The free option therefore works best for basic insights and SMS or email outreach, not a complete retention setup. Growth is priced per outlet, so operators with multiple locations should account for that unit when comparing costs.

Platforms

Reelo supports Android, iOS, web, and API. Its mobile app offers access to sales, feedback, campaigns, and customer sections, while its POS integrations connect restaurant systems through an API without additional hardware.

Who it's for

Reelo is a strong fit for restaurants in India whose POS is among its native integrations and that want to connect guest activity with loyalty and targeted marketing. The Forever Free plan can suit a smaller operation validating basic insights and email or SMS campaigns. Restaurants that need custom loyalty, feedback tools, QR codes, referrals, or automated campaigns should budget for Growth. It is less compelling for a business whose POS is unsupported or that only needs online ordering rather than customer engagement.

Pros and cons

Pro — POS data informs targeting: Spend, visit history, average order value, and preferences give campaigns more context than a generic guest list.
Pro — No new hardware for supported POS connections: API setup is usually completed within 24–48 hours, reducing the need for a separate installation.
Pro — A meaningful free starting tier: Customer and business insights plus SMS and email campaigns are available at no cost.
Con — Important retention tools require Growth: Custom loyalty, feedback tools, automated campaigns, and custom QR codes are not part of Forever Free.
Con — Growth is charged per outlet: The stated annual amount is INR 39,000/outlet/per year + GST, which matters for multi-location operators.
Con — POS fit is central: The strongest data and campaign workflow depends on connecting a supported restaurant POS.

Verdict

Reelo is best for restaurants with a supported POS that want to link guest activity to loyalty and marketing without adding hardware. Its Forever Free plan makes core insights and basic SMS and email campaigns accessible, while Growth brings the tailored rewards and automation that make the platform more capable. Look elsewhere if your POS is not supported or your main requirement is ordering rather than customer retention.
