Overview

Start with an AI-generated design or a template, then adjust colors, fonts, icons, and layout. The maker offers 50 logo concepts and supports commercial use, with PNG, SVG, and JPG downloads, including vector and transparent exports. Those formats give a logo flexibility across websites, social profiles, and documents.

Wixel, Wix’s AI-powered design platform, adds an AI tagline generator and lets you create a brand theme from a logo for use in other Wixel designs. It requires a Wix account. Downloaded logos can also be uploaded to Wix and saved in Media Manager for a Wix website, a useful connection for Wix customers but less of a draw for people working elsewhere.

Wixel’s current logo downloads and Wix’s legacy Logo Maker plans have different terms. Wixel says high-resolution PNG and SVG files are free, while the legacy Basic plan includes PNG and reserves SVG for Advanced and certain higher plans. The older maker remains available, but offers limited AI support and fewer assets than Wixel.

Key features

Logo design and exports

Editable designs let users refine a generated concept instead of settling for its first version. Vector and transparent exports are useful when a logo must fit different sizes and backgrounds. Before paying, confirm whether you are using Wixel or the legacy maker: the latter’s Basic plan does not include SVG.

Brand tools and account connection

A logo-based brand theme can carry visual choices into other Wixel designs, while the tagline generator adds another branding tool in the same platform. Wixel projects sync across its iOS and Android apps. The Wix account requirement and Media Manager integration will matter most to existing Wix users; they are less persuasive if you do not plan to use Wix or Wixel for other work.

Credits and support

AI actions consume credits, so the monthly allowance and daily cap shape how much experimentation the free tier supports. Wixel includes an AI customer care assistant and support tickets. Wix states that its website security certificates include PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 2 Type 2, and several ISO certifications, and that it complies with GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day. Its estimated allowance is up to 20 logos. That is a sensible starting point for occasional logo work, but the daily cap can slow a burst of AI experimentation.

Basic costs 90.00 USD per year, billed per year. It provides 350 monthly AI credits and estimated capacity for up to 50 logos, 40 images, 10 videos, 40 documents, and three presentations. This tier is better suited to someone making several kinds of assets than to a logo-only buyer, particularly given the separate legacy Basic plan’s PNG-only restriction.

Pro costs 290.00 USD per year, billed per year. It raises the allowance to 850 monthly credits and estimated capacity of 180 logos, 140 images, 35 videos, 130 documents, and seven presentations; it also includes a Wix Light plan and a free domain for one year. Max costs 590.00 USD per year, billed per year, and includes 2,000 monthly credits, estimated capacity of 440 logos, 330 images, 80 videos, 280 documents, and 15 presentations, plus a Wix Light plan and free domain for one year. These higher tiers make more sense for sustained multi-format creation than for someone seeking only a logo. Logo and project counts are estimates, not guarantees.

Platforms

Wix Logo Maker is available on web, Android, and iOS. Wixel’s mobile apps sync projects across devices, which helps users who move between phone and computer. The platform requires a Wix account.

Who it's for

Choose it if you want to customize a business logo and may also use Wixel to create other branded assets, especially if your website is already on Wix. The free tier can suit a one-off project with modest AI use. Look elsewhere if you need predictable high-volume generation on a low budget, or if you want a logo tool without a Wix account requirement.

Pros and cons

Pros: 50 concepts, editable design controls, commercial use, and PNG, SVG, and JPG formats provide room to refine and deploy a logo.
Pros: Wixel’s brand themes, mobile project syncing, and Wix Media Manager connection can make the logo more useful across a wider workflow.
Cons: The free plan’s 120 monthly credits and 30-per-day cap constrain AI-heavy use.
Cons: Annual paid tiers rise to 290.00 USD per year and 590.00 USD per year, and their broader quotas may be unnecessary if you only need a logo.
Cons: Legacy Maker Basic includes PNG but not SVG, so users must check which product and plan govern their downloads.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of logo-focused tools, see AI Logo Makers and Logo Design Software. If you want vector-oriented AI tools, compare AI Vector Generators.

Zoviz is worth considering if its paid plans’ monthly credit allowances, cloud storage, and single team-member seat better suit your needs. Design.com is an alternative if you want a free plan that includes commercial rights, vector formats, and a brand kit. BrandCrowd Logo Maker may suit users who want a paid monthly option for unlimited edits and high-resolution or vector downloads.

Logo Diffusion is another option, though its free plan limits downloads to watermarked 512x512 files and does not include commercial rights. LOGO.com offers a free plan with one logo, PNG output, and 100 MB of media storage. SologoAI has a free tier with 10 one-time Sologo credits for new accounts, while name-to-logo and brand kit generation use no credits. Tailor Brands offers free low-resolution downloads, with high-resolution vector files requiring payment. Elaa is an alternative with limited free AI design credits, unlimited edits, and free production-file downloads.

Verdict

Wix Logo Maker is a strong fit for a small business or solo operator who wants an editable logo and expects to use Wixel’s broader branding tools, particularly within a Wix workflow. Its main advantage is the combination of logo exports, brand themes, and project syncing; the main reason to look elsewhere is the credit-capped AI use and the annual cost of higher tiers if your needs stop at a logo.
