Overview

Game Rover lets players sort games into eight states, from Playing and Up Next to Wishlist, Paused, and Quit. That makes it useful for managing both current play and longer-term intentions, rather than treating every unplayed title as the same kind of backlog. The product is in beta, so players deciding where to keep a large collection should weigh that status.

Game information and cover art come from IGDB, while completion-time estimates are attributed to HowLongToBeat and review scores to Metacritic. Logged-in users’ libraries and lists are saved to the cloud and can be downloaded as a local backup. The maker says it hashes passwords, uses expiring session tokens and HTTPS, and does not sell gaming data, run ads, or track users across the web. Payments are handled by Stripe, which the maker describes as PCI-compliant.

Key features

Progress and achievements in one library

Trophy Vault brings PlayStation trophies together with Xbox and Steam achievements in one view. Game Rover also describes syncing data from PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and RetroAchievements, with OAuth sign-in for Xbox and Steam. That breadth is a practical advantage for players whose progress is split across console and PC accounts, though sync frequency is limited on the free tier.

Scout recommendations and trophy guidance

Scout is an AI assistant that can recommend games, offer trophy-hunting tips, and answer general gaming questions. It gives the library an advice component beyond tracking, but the message allowance is modest for free users and capped at 100 messages per day on Pro.

Backup and data handling

Cloud-saved libraries and lists can be downloaded locally, and Pro adds backup export and import. That provides a route to keep a copy of a collection and move backups back into the service. The maker’s stated security and privacy practices may reassure users, but they do not change the product’s beta status.

Pricing

Game Rover is freemium, with a 14-day trial and two paid terms. The Free plan is free and allows 200 active games, one platform sync per month, four lists with up to 10 games each, and 30 Scout AI messages per month. Imported games beyond the active-game cap remain in the library as read-only until upgrade. This is a workable entry point for a smaller, relatively stable collection, but monthly syncing and list limits will constrain players who frequently update or reorganize their library.

Game Rover Pro Monthly costs 1.99 USD per month; Game Rover Pro Yearly costs 14.99 USD per year. Both include unlimited games, platform syncing, lists, and games per list, automatic background sync, full achievement history, unlimited library posters, Scout AI at 100 messages per day, backup export and import, and priority support. Monthly is the more flexible option; yearly has the lower stated total cost for a full year, in exchange for committing to an annual term. The free plan gives up automatic syncing, full achievement history, and the expanded library and list capacity that define Pro.

Platforms

Game Rover is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Its integrations cover PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and RetroAchievements, making it a fit for players who want a shared library across supported ecosystems rather than a single-platform tracker.

Who it's for

Game Rover suits players with collections spread across console and PC accounts who want statuses, achievements, recommendations, and a cloud-backed library in one place. The free plan fits people with no more than 200 active games and infrequent sync needs. Players with larger libraries, frequent progress changes, or a need for automatic syncing are better served by Pro. Those who prefer a mature product over one still in beta should consider that tradeoff before making it their primary library.

Pros and cons

Pros: Eight game statuses distinguish active play, future plans, and abandoned titles, giving a library more useful structure than a simple checklist.
Pros: Trophy Vault and integrations unite achievements and game data across several supported platforms.
Pros: Pro includes unlimited library and list capacity, automatic background sync, full achievement history, and backup import and export.
Cons: Free users are capped at 200 active games and can sync platforms only once a month, which limits its usefulness for large or frequently updated collections.
Cons: Scout’s free allowance is 30 messages per month, and Game Rover is still in beta.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse Game Achievement Trackers. Choose Backloggr if you want a free iOS or macOS option with library import, game tracking, trophies, and backlog tracking; its Pro plan is 2.99 USD per month for extra customization and advanced features. PocketPSN is an alternative for Android, iOS, and web users focused on PlayStation Stars collectibles, custom lists, timestamps, filtered friend leaderboards, and forum discussions.

Trophy Hub is worth considering if a free, ad-free service with 1 GB of cloud storage is the priority; it supports Android, iOS, web, and Windows. Trophy Rooms offers a free iOS and web option with no in-app purchases or subscriptions, but requires an account. GamersVault is a web-based choice for readers who want a free-forever service with no premium tiers, hidden costs, or ads.

Pyroblast is a free-to-start web option that connects Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox accounts. EveryGameStat offers free web and Windows access to account linking, a player card, a library, and a leaderboard. GameSave is a Linux and Windows alternative whose core app stays free, with extra pages unlocked using earned Credits.

Verdict

Game Rover is a strong fit for multi-platform players who want backlog organization and achievement views alongside recommendations and syncing. Its clearest reason to choose Pro is the combination of unlimited capacity and automatic background sync; the free plan remains useful for smaller collections but is sharply limited by its active-game and monthly-sync caps. Players who need a more established product or do not need its cross-platform breadth should look elsewhere.
