Overview

G HUB brings peripheral setup, game profiles and game-library controls into one app. Players can organize and launch titles from libraries including Steam and GOG, which adds convenience beyond device configuration. That combination is worthwhile for Logitech G owners managing several peripherals, but it is not a universal control panel for mixed-brand equipment.

Account holders can share and download profiles, lighting and other settings through the Community Library. That gives users a source of ready-made configurations as well as a place to contribute their own, though it requires an account.

Key features

Device setup and keyboard controls

G HUB Basics covers DPI, assignments and LIGHTSYNC effects, while KEYCONTROL supplies an interface and feature set for configuring Logitech G keyboards. Game profiles let players keep settings organized around titles. These tools are most useful to people who adjust their peripherals for different games; they offer little to someone without Logitech G devices.

Lighting and integrations

LIGHTSYNC RGB supports custom animations, synchronization across G devices and Windows Dynamic Lighting. The game integrations are selective: Logitech G integration is available in Final Fantasy XIV, while LIGHTSYNC has featured in Star Wars: Battlefront II and Battlefield 1. This makes G HUB a strong fit for Logitech G owners who want coordinated lighting, but the named integrations should not be mistaken for universal support across games.

Audio, streaming and developer tools

Mixline provides audio routing, mixing and streaming tools; Streamlabs offers tools for going live, engaging viewers, designing streams and growing. These extend the ecosystem for creators, though they are separate offerings rather than evidence that G HUB itself is a complete broadcast suite. Logitech also offers steering-wheel and LED-illumination SDKs, which require G HUB to work; that dependency matters to developers building around those SDKs.

Pricing

G HUB is free. The Free plan is free and includes LIGHTSYNC RGB customization, device configuration and presets, and game profiles. The G HUB plan is also free and covers Logitech G gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, speakers and other devices. There is no paid tier or stated seat cap to weigh against these inclusions; the important limit is hardware scope.

Platforms

G HUB supports Windows and macOS, with compatibility for recent versions of both. The latest release notes state that macOS Ventura support was dropped, so Ventura users should not assume compatibility. Logitech describes consent-based collection of feature usage, device discovery and configuration, system and performance diagnostics, crash data and application activity. It says it uses TLS certificates, encryption, access limits, antivirus software and firewalls to reduce unauthorized-access risks.

Who it's for

Choose G HUB if you own Logitech G peripherals and want a single place for device configuration, game profiles and synchronized lighting. It is also relevant to users of Logitech's SDKs, for which G HUB is required. Look elsewhere if your setup is mainly other brands, or if your Mac runs Ventura and compatibility is essential.

Pros and cons

Pros: Free plans include device configuration and presets, game profiles and LIGHTSYNC customization, giving Logitech G owners a broad set of controls without a subscription.
Pros: Game-library tools and Community Library sharing add organization and reusable settings beyond basic device setup.
Cons: Its peripheral scope centers on Logitech G devices, so it is a poor fit as a cross-brand control hub.
Cons: macOS Ventura support has been dropped, making OS compatibility a real constraint for some Mac users.

Alternatives

RGB Lighting Software is a useful category to compare if lighting control is the priority; Keyboard and Mouse Customization Software and Gaming Peripheral Software cover adjacent choices.

SignalRGB is worth considering for Windows users seeking RGB tools beyond G HUB: its free plan includes a standard content library, basic cooling and monitoring, and two macros, while Pro adds a full content library at custom pricing. GALAX Xtreme Tuner Plus is a narrower option for GALAX graphics-card owners who want its Xtreme Tuner app on Android, iOS or Windows; it requires the Xtreme Tuner PC software.

Nexus is another free option across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows. Razer Chroma App may suit Razer users who want a free lighting app on macOS or Windows. SteelSeries Moments is a free Windows alternative, while Cooler Master MasterPlus+ is free for compatible Cooler Master products on Windows 10 or 11.

HyperX NGENUITY is a free Windows-only option for compatible HyperX devices. OpenRGB is free, open source under the GNU General Public License version 2, and supports Windows, macOS, Linux, API and self-hosted environments.

Verdict

Logitech G HUB is the right choice for Logitech G owners who want free device configuration, game profiles and synchronized lighting in one place. Its broad controls and community settings are the main reasons to choose it; its Logitech-centered scope and dropped Ventura support are the clearest reasons to look elsewhere.
