Overview

GloriaFood brings restaurant ordering and table reservations together for restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks. Its free service covers a broad set of ordering channels, but its announced end of life on April 30, 2027 makes it difficult to recommend as the basis for a long-term rollout.

Oracle acquired GloriaFood in 2021, and the maker says it will support existing customers through the end-of-life date. That gives current users a defined support window, while new adopters should weigh migration timing before committing.

Key features

Ordering and reservations

GloriaFood supports delivery, takeaway, dine-in, scheduled orders, and table reservations. The free service plan includes website and mobile ordering, QR code ordering, Facebook smart links, reports, promotions, and third-party integrations. Restaurants can also share smart ordering links through Google Business Profile, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. That channel range is useful for operators who want customers to order through existing web and social touchpoints without paying a monthly fee for the core service.

The iOS and Android order-taking app lets staff accept orders and bookings, mark dishes out of stock, pause services, and print accepted orders with a thermal printer. Those shift-level controls can help a small team respond when capacity or inventory changes, although the app does not change the larger concern that the platform has a fixed support horizon.

Integrations, APIs, and payments

GloriaFood lists POS integrations including Clover, Focus, and Lightspeed, plus delivery connections such as Wolt and Shipday. Its Food Order API returns order details after a manager accepts an order, while the menu API exposes the restaurant’s latest menu to third-party systems. These connections may suit restaurants coordinating online orders with other systems, but the described order API is not an automatic feed of unaccepted orders.

The optional online payment service connects to a payment gateway, with funds going directly to the restaurant’s account. GloriaFood also offers reservation deposits and an advanced promotion service; these are paid add-ons rather than part of the free service plan.

Pricing

GloriaFood uses a freemium model. The Free service plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited orders, unlimited locations, no commission per order, and no monthly fee. It is a strong starting point for operators wanting ordering and reservations without a subscription tied to location or order volume. Its principal limitation is not a stated usage cap but the announced end of life in 2027.

Restaurant POS System: 49.00 USD per month, billed per location with a 2-year commitment; includes a free POS starter kit. The per-location billing and long commitment make this a more substantial decision than the free ordering plan.
Online / Credit Card Payment Service: 29.00 USD per month. Online payments go directly into the restaurant’s account.
Table Reservation Deposits: 0.50 USD per month, billed only for accepted bookings. The accepted-booking charge makes this specifically relevant to restaurants that take deposits on confirmed reservations.
Advanced Promo Marketing: 19.00 USD per month for client segmentation and target profiling across multiple promotions.

The paid options address distinct needs rather than forming a single required upgrade path. Restaurants should compare the POS system’s two-year, per-location term with the lower-cost standalone services and consider whether a new commitment makes sense given the platform’s end-of-life date.

Platforms

GloriaFood supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. The mobile app is the staff-facing tool for handling orders and bookings; the APIs support order and menu connections with third-party systems.

Who it's for

GloriaFood is a fit for food businesses that need basic online ordering alongside bookings, including table-service restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks. The no-fee core plan is especially attractive to smaller operators testing web, QR, and social ordering without per-order commission. It is a weaker choice for a business seeking a system to build around for years, because support is set to end on April 30, 2027.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad free ordering coverage: Website, mobile, QR, scheduled orders, and reservations are included, alongside unlimited orders and locations with no per-order commission.
Useful service controls: Staff can pause service, change item availability, and print accepted orders from the mobile app.
Optional paid capabilities: Payments, reservation deposits, POS, and segmented promotions can be added according to operational needs.

Cons

Time-limited support: The stated end-of-life date of April 30, 2027 puts a near-term ceiling on the platform’s usefulness for new long-term deployments.
POS commitment: The POS system is billed per location and requires a 2-year commitment, a significant lock-in for a product with an announced end date.
Separate costs for extras: Online payments, deposits, and advanced promotion marketing each carry their own monthly charge, so the free plan does not cover every operating need.

Alternatives

For a different restaurant-operations focus, consider 7shifts: its free Comp plan is capped at 15 employees and one location, while Essentials supports 30 employees and unlimited locations. Eat App is another option for reservation-focused needs, with a free plan capped at 100 guests monthly and a Lite plan at 99.00 USD per month with unlimited guests.

SpotOn Restaurant offers POS software and hardware, ordering, payments, table layouts, menu management, and reporting under a two-year minimum term, with processing minimums applying. HungerRush has a qualifying Starter plan for one location and one POS terminal, plus custom pricing for its Custom plan.

UrbanPiper is a paid option with a Hub plan at 79.00 GBP per month, unlimited orders, and no per-order charges. Sapaad is a paid alternative with an Essentials plan at 99.00 USD per month, billed once every 24 months, for a single outlet and up to 10,000 customers. RestioX offers a free-forever trial package capped at 100 dishes, 10 categories, 100 delivery orders per month, two staff members, and one branch. Tablein is a paid reservation option with a Starter plan at 67.00 EUR per month per restaurant, including 50 reservations and charging €0.67 for each extra reservation.

Verdict

GloriaFood makes sense for a small food business that wants ordering and reservations without monthly core-plan costs or order commissions, particularly if it can use the platform only through its announced support window. The free plan’s broad channels and unlimited usage are compelling; the end-of-life date is the decisive reason to look elsewhere for a new system expected to serve as a long-term foundation.
