Overview

OH! MY FONT. is a subscription library of about 300 Japanese design typefaces, managed through an app that activates selected fonts with one click. It is best suited to Japan-based designers who need broad Japanese character coverage for desktop creative work. Its annual plan includes commercial-use rights, while a limited 14-day free plan lets users try the full typeface collection without automatically starting a paid subscription.

Key features

The collection emphasizes Japanese character coverage, including commonly used kanji and some characters the service says are unavailable in Adobe Fonts. That breadth can help with Japanese-language layouts where a missing character would interrupt a design. The catalog offers about 300 typefaces, and the app manages subscribed fonts and activates a selection with one click.

The maker names Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Figma as desktop apps where the fonts can be used. Included fonts may be used commercially, including in logos, advertising, and packaging. This suits many design and presentation projects, but the subscription does not grant unrestricted control of the font files: users cannot upload, share, modify, resell, or redistribute them. Embedding fonts in applications, games, devices, or web fonts requires a separate license.

The app must be online to use, and each license works on one PC at a time. Users can switch the assigned PC, which offers some flexibility when changing machines, but the single-PC limit and connectivity requirement may disrupt workflows that move between computers or operate offline. The service also uses access-log retention and periodic license checks to prevent unauthorized font use. Its privacy policy says personal information is collected as needed for specified purposes and is not shared without consent except in stated cases. Inquiries are typically answered within one to three business days.

Pricing

Free plan: Free for 14 days. It includes all 300 typefaces, unlimited character counts, and commercial use. Because it does not automatically convert to a paid plan, it is a useful way to assess the collection without an unexpected renewal. Its short duration makes it suitable for evaluation, not ongoing work.

Annual plan: 26400.00 JPY per year, billed 一括払い / 年額. It includes the same 300 typefaces, unlimited character counts, and commercial use. This is the practical choice for designers who expect to use the library across ongoing projects; the upfront annual payment is less suitable for occasional or short-term needs. Both plans share the one-PC-at-a-time license and online-use requirement.

Platforms

The service lists macOS, Windows, and web platforms. The FAQ, dated June 23, 2026, specifies macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later and Windows 11 26H1 or later for the app. Fonts are provided in OpenType format through a library, with web licensing offered separately. The app cannot be used while the PC is offline.

Who it's for

OH! MY FONT. is aimed at individuals and corporations located in Japan who regularly create Japanese-language design work and value a broad selection of typefaces with commercial-use rights. It is a particularly good fit when kanji coverage and use in named desktop creative apps matter. It is a poor fit for people outside Japan, offline workflows, multi-PC use under one license, or projects that need to embed or redistribute font files without arranging a separate license.

Pros and cons

Pros: About 300 typefaces and extensive Japanese character coverage, including some characters absent from Adobe Fonts, support varied Japanese-language layouts.
Pros: Commercial use is included for logos, advertising, and packaging, and the 14-day plan includes the annual plan’s typefaces without auto-conversion.
Cons: The 26400.00 JPY annual fee is a full-year commitment paid upfront, making the service less compelling for occasional font needs.
Cons: Use is limited to one assigned PC at a time, requires an internet connection, and is restricted to users located in Japan.
Cons: Sharing or modifying font files is prohibited, and embedding them in applications, games, devices, or web fonts needs a separate license.

Alternatives

Adobe Fonts is a better option for readers who want a freemium service with a basic library of about 5,500 fonts and support across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows. Morisawa Fonts is another Japan-focused choice; its free plan lets users try five selected fonts, with a restriction on registering logotypes made with those fonts as trademarks. For trying individual fonts before subscribing to a specific one, consider Fontstand. Readers comparing broader font sources can browse Font Marketplaces.

Verdict

Choose OH! MY FONT. if you are based in Japan and need a substantial Japanese font collection for recurring desktop design work, especially when commercial use and broad kanji coverage are priorities. The full library is available for 14 days without automatic paid renewal, and the annual plan gives ongoing access for 26400.00 JPY per year. Look elsewhere if you work offline, need one license across multiple PCs at once, are outside Japan, or need font embedding rights included.
