Overview

Refport is referral and affiliate software for SaaS teams that want to tie partner commissions to subscription revenue. It suits founders who need a single workflow for tracking, commission calculations and partner management; the free plan offers a capped starting point, while automated payouts are reserved for paid use.

Its emphasis on Stripe revenue makes it a stronger fit for recurring-revenue businesses than for teams seeking only a basic affiliate link manager. The main decision is whether its plan caps and payout terms match the scale of your program.

Key features

Refport connects referral links, attribution, conversions, commissions and payouts in an auditable trail. Its Stripe integration calculates commissions from actual Stripe revenue, which is useful when partner rewards should follow subscription payments rather than a separate manual tally. Shopify sales ingestion, REST API access and webhooks extend the workflow to other sales and custom billing setups. The maker says adding the SDK and connecting Stripe takes about five minutes; that does not establish how much work a custom integration will require.

Configurable fraud rules cover duplicate customer emails, suspicious domains, blocked traffic sources and exclusions across programs. These give teams controls over common referral risks, but require configuration and ongoing oversight. Refport supports partner portals and automated payouts through Stripe Connect and PayPal.

Refport says it encrypts data in transit and at rest and uses OAuth 2.0, magic links, SSO/SAML, role-based access control, webhook signatures, rate limiting, audit logging and hashed API keys. Its privacy policy says it processes data under GDPR and French data-protection law. Support is available by email, and the founder offers a free 30-minute demo.

Pricing

The free plan is free and includes 100 links, 5,000 clicks per month and one seat. It is suitable for a small program or an initial evaluation, but the single seat and link cap constrain collaboration and growth.

Starter costs 49.00 USD per month, billed $490/year. It allows two Programs, three seats, $10,000 monthly Partner Revenue, 5,000 links, 100,000 clicks per month, three domains and three Partner Groups. That is the entry paid tier for a small team that needs payouts and more traffic capacity; its partner-revenue ceiling and three-seat limit matter as the program grows.

Growth costs 99.00 USD per month, billed $990/year. It raises the limits to five Programs, 10 seats, $30,000 monthly Partner Revenue, 50,000 links, 1,000,000 clicks per month, 10 domains and 10 Partner Groups. Choose it when Starter’s revenue or operational caps are too restrictive; teams with modest programs may not need the added capacity.

Scale costs 199.00 USD per month, billed $1,990/year. It provides unlimited Programs, seats, links and clicks, 50 domains and a $60,000 monthly Partner Revenue cap. It suits larger operations that need room for many partners and campaigns, though revenue remains capped. Enterprise has custom pricing, unlimited standard volumes, a custom partner-revenue cap and unlimited domains.

The 14-day trial requires no credit card and includes paid features except payouts. It is limited to 500 links, 10,000 clicks per month, one custom domain, three Partner Groups, one Program and three seats. That is enough to evaluate core workflows, but not to test partner payouts during the trial.

Platforms

Refport is available on web and through an API. Its API and webhooks provide an integration route for custom billing workflows, while Shopify ingestion and Stripe connectivity address those sales sources. The platform’s stated security controls and GDPR and French-law privacy commitments may matter to teams assessing vendor requirements.

Who it's for

Refport is aimed at SaaS founders and teams seeking measurable referral or affiliate growth, particularly those already using Stripe and wanting commissions based on real subscription revenue. It is less compelling for a business that needs partner payouts during a trial, exceeds the relevant monthly revenue cap, or wants generous free-tier collaboration: the free plan has one seat and paid plans are required for payouts.

Pros and cons

Pro: Stripe-based commission calculations tie partner rewards to actual revenue, a useful fit for subscription businesses.
Pro: Shopify ingestion, REST API access and webhooks give teams paths beyond a standard Stripe setup.
Pro: Configurable fraud rules cover duplicate emails, suspicious domains, blocked sources and cross-program exclusions.
Con: The free plan is limited to one seat, 100 links and 5,000 monthly clicks, so it is not a roomy team plan.
Con: Payouts are excluded from the 14-day trial and require a paid plan, limiting evaluation of the complete payment workflow.
Con: Starter, Growth and Scale impose monthly Partner Revenue caps of $10,000, $30,000 and $60,000 respectively; teams need to choose around those ceilings.

Alternatives

For a broader set of options, browse Affiliate Marketing Software.

Consider Refersion if its marketplace listing and percent-of-sale offer publishing better match how you recruit affiliates; it also has a free plan and trial.

OpenPartner is worth comparing if self-hosting matters or a no-monthly-fee model billed at 3% of GMV suits your economics; its Revshare plan includes unlimited partners, links and campaigns.

Siren may suit teams prioritizing a free plan with unlimited programs, affiliates and conversions, along with basic e-commerce integrations and referral-link and coupon tracking.

Affilyn is an alternative for a small storefront program: its free plan has no recurring app charge and includes five active partners and one VIP storefront.

Rakuten LinkShare is another option to consider for publisher network access, though inactivity fees may apply after 12 months without commissionable activity.

UpPromote may fit a small program that can work within one affiliate program and $3,000 in referral review per month on its free plan.

LinkTrust is another affiliate platform to compare.

Awin may suit teams seeking its partner network, but its Access plan is 99.00 GBP per month plus VAT and a 3.5% per-transaction tracking fee, with a three-month minimum term after the first month free.

Verdict

Refport is a sound fit for SaaS teams that want commissions grounded in Stripe subscription revenue and need tracking, fraud controls and payouts in one system. Its clear advantage is that revenue-linked workflow; its main drawback is that free use excludes payouts and paid plans have partner-revenue ceilings until Enterprise. Choose it when those terms fit your scale, and look elsewhere if payout testing in the trial or a more generous free tier is essential.
