Overview

Web, email, and developer-interface workflows can run in parallel. To send by email, address a message to the fax number followed by @fax.tc, attach the document, and receive delivery status by email. Incoming faxes arrive as PDF or TIFF attachments or can be retrieved from a secure reception area. This flexibility suits mixed office workflows, though organizations that only need occasional outbound faxing may not need the receiving and management tools.

GTC supports international faxing and virtual fax numbers. It says its servers are in Germany, describes the service as GDPR-compliant, and offers SSL access and IP-range restrictions; HIPAA support is also listed. Flexible-tariff credits do not expire, and only successfully sent pages are charged. Pages taking more than 60 seconds are billed proportionally in six-second increments, which matters for long transmissions.

Key features

API automation: REST, SOAP, and SMTP interfaces include multiple recipients and scheduled sending. The developer page describes automation from one fax to one million, making this a stronger fit for recurring application-driven traffic than a web-only workflow. GTC lists VB, Java, .NET, C#, and PHP for API use; its developer page also names Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, and Salesforce.
Fax administration: Cover sheets, address-book recipients, custom sender IDs, sending logs, and delivery notifications help teams manage routine traffic. Centrally managed users with individual permissions are useful when multiple staff need access without sharing identical privileges.
Security options: Germany-based servers, SSL access, IP-range restrictions, and stated GDPR compliance address common organizational requirements. A PCI DSS-compliant option is offered for sending credit-card data at an extra €0.02 plus VAT per page.
Support: Telephone, email, and chat support are advertised, with customer advisors based in Stuttgart.

Pricing

There is no conventional free plan, but a nonbinding test account is free. It lets users try the flexible tariff, with no stated trial duration; credit can be purchased later. Most usage-based packages have custom pricing, so readers should compare the number of pages and destination mix before committing.

Plan	Price and allowance	Who it suits
Small package	Custom pricing; 30 fax pages/month	Low-volume offices that want a monthly allowance.
Medium package	Custom pricing; 100 fax pages/month	Teams with more regular traffic that prefer a defined quota.
Fax-sending credit	Custom pricing; prepaid credit does not expire; Germany, Western Europe, and USA landlines	Occasional senders avoiding a monthly commitment.
Germany 01805 receiving number	Custom pricing; 1,000 received pages/month	Organizations expecting substantial inbound volume.
Germany 0800 receiving number	Custom pricing; 100 received pages/month	Lower-volume inbound use.
Free test account	Free; nonbinding; duration not stated	Prospective customers who want to try the flexible tariff before buying credit.
Paket-Lösung – klein	9.50 EUR per year; billed at 9,50 € inkl. MwSt. / Monat, annually; 12-month minimum; 01805 number and 30 pages/month for sending and receiving	Small offices wanting a number and combined allowance. Email use and faxing to Germany, Western Europe, and the USA are included; the annual billing and minimum term reduce flexibility.
Fax reception number – Germany 01805	11.31 EUR per month; €11.31 setup fee plus €11.31 monthly base fee, including VAT; 1,000 pages included, then €0.02 per received page	High-volume inbound faxing; terminable with six weeks' notice to month end.
Flexibler Tarif – fax credits	11.90 EUR per once; €11.90 credit package, no monthly commitment, and credits do not expire; €0.107 per page including VAT to Germany, Western Europe, and USA landlines	Senders with irregular needs. Worldwide sending is available at destination-dependent prices, and unused credit is not refunded.

The cheaper monthly allowance options trade a set quota for an unlisted price, while the listed sending-credit option charges by destination and does not refund unused funds. Receiving numbers have setup and recurring charges, and overage rates differ: €0.02 per page for the Germany 01805 number versus €0.10 for the listed 100-page numbers. The small package's displayed price and billing wording differ, so confirm the amount and annual charge before choosing it.

Platforms

GTC Cloud-Fax supports web and API access. Email is also a sending and receiving workflow, but it is not a separately listed platform.

Who it's for

This is best for small offices and larger organizations that need inbound and outbound faxing, centralized user permissions, or application-based automation.

Pros and cons

Pros

Web, email, and API workflows can be used in parallel, supporting both staff-driven and automated faxing.
Non-expiring prepaid credit and billing only for successfully sent pages help avoid paying for failed transmissions or unused monthly credit.
Inbound allowances range from 100 to 1,000 pages across the listed number options, with additional-page rates stated.
Central user permissions, delivery logs, and notifications support team administration.

Cons

There is no ongoing free plan, and several packages use custom pricing, making total cost harder to compare in advance.
Receiving numbers add setup and monthly charges, plus overage fees; the rates vary by number type.
Flexible-tariff credit is not refundable, despite not expiring.
The small package requires a 12-month minimum, and its displayed price and billing terms merit confirmation.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Online Fax Services. Choose OTG Networks vFax if you want listed Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows support and a month-to-month paid Starter plan with unlimited calling. Dropbox Fax (formerly HelloFax) is a better fit for web users who want a free outbound allowance, but its free option is sending-only and caps free pages. FAX.PLUS offers a free tier and a 30-day free period for paid plans, which may suit someone who wants to try mobile or web faxing before paying.

InterFAX is another paid fax service with prepaid pricing and no monthly commitment. FaxTerra may suit users seeking a free monthly allowance for US and Canada sending. DialPhone Online Fax is an alternative with mobile, desktop, and web platforms and a listed annual Basic plan. Browserfax offers a free web plan with 20 pages and a one-time 25-page pack. ETHERFAX is another API-capable cloud fax option with custom pricing.

Verdict

GTC Cloud-Fax is a sound choice for offices that need both fax reception and sending, especially when APIs, centralized permissions, or multiple workflows matter. Its non-expiring credit and broad integration options are practical advantages. Look elsewhere if a free plan, a mobile app, or a plainly priced all-in monthly cost is essential; receiving fees, destination-dependent sending costs, and custom-priced packages require careful fit against expected usage.
