Overview

Founded in Melbourne in 2015, HammerTech brings subcontractor management, worker orientations, hazard planning, permits, inspections, incidents and daily reporting into one platform. For contractors running recurring processes across active sites, that breadth can keep safety and operational work together instead of scattering it across separate tools. It may be more system than a small or single-project operation needs.

The platform supports web, iOS and Android, plus an API. The same login works across web and mobile apps, which helps users switch between field and office work without managing separate credentials. HammerTech identifies itself as ISO 9001:2015 certified and SOC 2 Type 1.

Key features

Safety and site workflows

Coverage spans subcontractor management, orientations, JHAs, SDS, pre-task plans, permits, inspections, observations, incidents, corrective actions, safety training, hazard assessments, daily reports and site access. That range suits contractors seeking a shared system for safety and site operations; teams that only need inspections may find the wider scope unnecessary.

AI assistance

HammerTech Intelligence can convert pre-task plans into tasks and hazards, fill site observations from photos, and extract SDS information from PDFs. These functions target repetitive documentation work, though they do not change the platform’s broader, multi-site orientation.

Integrations and support

Named integrations include Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Irongate, Eyrus, Kwant, Acumatica and LUMA1, with an Open API for custom integrations. Integration access must be enabled by HammerTech, and customers are directed to request it through their Customer Success Representative. That gate is worth weighing if integrations are central to a rollout. Pricing includes implementation and onboarding, training, ongoing customer support and access to the knowledge hub, giving buyers a support package alongside the software.

Pricing

HammerTech is paid software with custom pricing tailored to operational scale and complexity, including annual construction volume and the number of active job sites. It does not charge per user, so adding site participants does not create a per-seat fee; the overall quote still depends on the operation’s scale.

Subcontractor access: Free. Subcontractors receive access through the general contractor managing the project, making this a participation route rather than a standalone free plan for a contractor.
HammerTech: custom pricing, with core safety workflows, integrations, onboarding, training and support included. It is the relevant option for contractors adopting the platform across their operations.

There is no free plan for contractors. Very small teams and single-project operations should compare the breadth and tailored pricing against their narrower needs before committing.

Platforms

HammerTech runs on the web and has iOS and Android apps, with API access also available. The shared login across web and mobile supports mixed office and field use; the platform’s mobile access is particularly relevant for teams managing work on active sites.

Who it's for

HammerTech is built for commercial and infrastructure contractors managing multiple job sites. It is most compelling where teams need connected safety, compliance and site workflows across projects. The maker describes very small teams and single-project operations as a poor fit, so those buyers should look for a more focused alternative.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad workflow coverage. Subcontractor management, planning, permits, inspections, incidents and daily reports can sit in one platform, which suits contractors coordinating recurring processes across sites.
Pros: Useful AI assistance. Transcription into tasks and hazards, photo-based observation autofill and SDS extraction address specific documentation chores.
Pros: No per-user pricing. Pricing is based on operational scale and complexity rather than user count, which avoids a per-seat model for growing site participation.
Cons: Tailored pricing. A custom quote tied to construction volume and active sites makes costs less straightforward to assess upfront.
Cons: Integration access requires enablement. HammerTech must enable integrations, so teams should account for that access step when planning a connected deployment.
Cons: Poor match for smaller operations. The platform is expressly aimed at multi-site contractors, leaving small teams and single-project operators with more scope than they are likely to need.

Alternatives

For a free starting point with a defined reporting limit, consider Safesite: its Free plan allows unlimited members and guests but restricts reporting to the last 30 days, while Premium is 16.00 USD per month per member. That trade-off may suit teams that prefer a free tier or per-member pricing over HammerTech’s tailored multi-site model.

Tap Into Safety offers a seven-day Free Demo with access to a selection of courses and an Entry Level plan at 3000.00 USD per year for an annual unlimited-use subscription. It may suit buyers focused on course access rather than HammerTech’s broader construction workflows.

Donesafe is another paid option with custom pricing based on application modules, worker count and support services; consider it if that basis better matches your purchasing needs.

Other options include EHS Insight, Safety Evolution, Intelex Inspection Management, NZOHS and Safe365.

Verdict

Choose HammerTech if you are a commercial or infrastructure contractor managing multiple sites and want safety, compliance and site operations in one system, with no per-user pricing. Look elsewhere if you run a small or single-project operation, need a straightforward published price, or cannot accommodate HammerTech enabling integrations before use.
