Overview

Attendance, batch scheduling, lesson records, billing, online tests and progress reports sit in one service. That range can simplify routine work for a small centre, while Razorpay payments and GST-compliant invoices address local billing needs. The free plan is capped at one tutor and 15 students, and even paid plans have defined capacity limits, so larger or fast-growing centres should check the numbers before relying on it.

Key features

Fees and invoices

Razorpay processes UPI, card and netbanking payments, and TutorOne says it takes no commission on collected fees. Invoice PDFs include GSTIN, the tuition-services SAC code, tax rate and tax amount. This makes the billing tools relevant to Indian centres that need those tax details; payment processing is handled through Razorpay.

Tests and parent access

Online tests support multiple-choice, short-answer and file-upload questions. MCQs are auto-graded, and Excel question banks can be imported, a useful combination for centres that want assessments without manually grading every objective answer. Parents can use a browser portal to see attendance, schedules, fees, receipts and progress reports without downloading an app.

Notifications, privacy and portability

TutorOne names MSG91 for SMS reminders and supports WhatsApp notifications. It says it does not sell children's data or use student records to train machine-learning models. Its privacy policy describes HTTPS transmission, access controls separating centre data and hashed passwords. Student, attendance, invoice and payment data can be exported to Excel or CSV; after cancellation, TutorOne retains data for 90 days before deletion, so centres should export records they need to keep.

Pricing

TutorOne has a free plan, paid plans billed monthly, and a 30-day trial. The prices and caps suit a small centre more readily than an operation with large enrolments or heavy assessment and file activity.

Plan	Price	Limits and fit
Free	Free	1 tutor, 15 students and unlimited sessions. A sensible way to start or run a very small tuition operation, but the student cap is restrictive.
Starter	199.00 INR per month, billed every month	2 tutors, 75 students, 400 sessions/month, 100 form submissions/month and 50 MB of uploaded files. The low-cost step up from free adds room for a small team, but session, submission and storage quotas matter.
Pro	599.00 INR per month, billed every month	15 tutors, 300 students, unlimited sessions, 500 form submissions/month and 500 MB of files. This is the more practical tier for a growing centre that needs staff capacity and regular sessions, though submissions and storage remain capped.
Institute	1499.00 INR per month, billed every month	50 tutors, 1,000 students, unlimited sessions, 2,000 form submissions/month and 2 GB of files. It gives a larger centre substantially more headroom, while retaining quotas on forms and files.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Unlimited students and tutors, custom onboarding and migration, and a named point of contact. It is aimed at centres that exceed the listed seat caps or need migration support.

Starter is the cheapest paid option, but the 400-session and 50 MB file limits may constrain an active centre. Pro removes the session cap and raises the staff and student ceilings; Institute expands those further. Centres should match enrolment and expected usage to the tier rather than choosing on monthly price alone.

Platforms

TutorOne is available on Android, iOS and the web. Parents can use the browser portal for centre information without installing an app.

Who it's for

TutorOne is a strong fit for an Indian tuition centre with an owner, a few teachers and a few hundred students, especially one that wants attendance, payment collection, assessment and parent communication in one service. Its invoice format, Razorpay support and local payment methods make it more relevant to that setting than to centres seeking a general-purpose international billing workflow. A larger institution, or one with substantial file and form activity, should compare its needs against the plan caps or consider another system.

Pros and cons

Pros: GST-compliant invoices and Razorpay support for UPI, cards and netbanking address common Indian tuition billing needs.
Pros: Parents can view fees, receipts, schedules and progress through a browser portal without another app.
Pros: Test formats, MCQ auto-grading and Excel question-bank import cover several assessment workflows.
Pros: Excel and CSV exports provide a way to retain key centre records outside the service.
Cons: The free plan's 15-student cap is only suitable for a very small centre.
Cons: Starter limits sessions, form submissions and storage, while higher plans still cap submissions and uploaded files.
Cons: Cancelled accounts are retained for 90 days before deletion, so records need to be exported in time.

Alternatives

Tutoring Center Software is the directory's broader category for comparing options. TutorHive is another freemium Android, iOS and web option; its free tier supports up to two students, a basic calendar, homework tracking and one invoice a month, so it is a narrower alternative for a very small setup.

OneBookPlus is a freemium iOS and web option with invoices, quotes, GST and ABN, booking-page and pool-log features; its described focus differs from tuition-centre administration. Spoteca is a web-based freemium alternative with a free tier for up to 10 billable enrollments and all features, making it worth considering for a small enrollment base.

Trakist is an iOS alternative whose free plan includes unlimited students, two classes, payments, scheduling, attendance and progress tracking; choose it if those listed needs and iOS support align better. TuitionDesk offers a free plan for up to 10 students and supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows, but its free tier has a smaller student cap than TutorOne's.

Tutr Desk is another freemium Android, iOS and web option with attendance, fee management, schedules and WhatsApp reminders on its free plan for up to 10 students. TutorFlit has a web free tier for up to five students and five sessions per month, with scheduling and a student roster, making it a more limited starting point. GuruDesk offers a web free plan for solo teachers with up to 30 students and a Starter Teacher Pack at 179.00 INR per month for up to 90 students and six batches; consider it when those enrolment and batch limits better match a solo teacher's needs.

Verdict

TutorOne is a compelling choice for a small Indian tuition centre that wants fee collection, tax-conscious invoices, assessments and parent access in one place. Its strongest reason to choose it is the combination of local payment and invoicing features with broad centre administration. Look elsewhere if your operation is beyond its student or tutor caps, or if the session, form and file quotas do not fit your workload.
