Overview

Wizer is a cloud-based security awareness platform for organizations that want employee training and phishing exercises in one service. It is best suited to teams that need course administration alongside security education, with a free entry point and a Boost plan for simulations and broader controls.

Its training spans everyday threats and compliance topics, while course planning, analytics and automated assignments give administrators a way to organize learning. The main trade-off is that the free tier is basic: phishing simulations and richer reporting are part of the paid offer.

Key features

Training for current threats

Courses cover phishing, ransomware, compliance, GDPR, insider threats, AI and deepfake attacks, and secure code. Eleven course languages make Wizer a plausible fit for multilingual teams. WizerAI Studio can turn documents, policies or topics into training videos; deepfake awareness lessons and an interactive real-or-AI challenge address a more specific emerging risk. These tools broaden the subject matter, though organizations should choose the platform for its combined training and administration rather than assume AI content creation replaces their own course design.

Simulations and administration

Boost includes adaptive phishing simulations, templates updated monthly and report buttons. Automated simulations, risk scoring, course planning and analytics support a more structured training cycle than the free tier's limited reporting can provide. Training assignments for developers are useful for organizations that want to target a particular workforce group rather than treat every learner identically.

Integrations and deployment

Azure AD and Google Workspace support directory provisioning, while Okta and OneLogin provide single sign-on. Zapier integrations and API documentation offer additional routes to connect administrative workflows. Organizations that already use an LMS can import Wizer training through SCORM packages for Moodle, SAP Litmos, Docebo and Blackboard. The platform is available on web, Android and iOS, with API support.

Wizer displays a SOC 2 Type II certification badge and says it uses technical, organizational and security measures to protect personal data. Its named cloud and platform sub-processors include Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and DigitalOcean, with data locations in the USA; organizations with residency requirements should account for that when assessing fit.

Pricing

Wizer Free Plan

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes basic annual security awareness training, basic user management, limited reporting and automatic learner reminder emails. It is a sensible starting point for teams that need baseline training and reminders, but the reporting cap and absence of Boost's phishing simulation package make it a poor substitute for a program built around testing and tracking employee response.

Wizer Boost Plan

Boost is priced at 25.00 USD per year, billed per user annually on a 3-year term. Volume rates are $25 for 25+ users, $20 for 51+, $17 for 101+, $14 for 501+, $12 for 1,001+ and $8 for 3,001+ users; contact sales for 5,001+ users. Volume pricing starts at 25 users, and 1-year pricing is available by request. The lower per-user rates depend on larger workforces and a longer commitment, so smaller teams should confirm the applicable quote rather than assume the headline minimum is their rate.

Boost can be tried free for 10 days, including the ability to run a phishing simulation. The trial is useful for evaluating the paid workflow before committing, but the recurring plan's three-year term is a material commitment. Wizer also lists Managed Boost with priority support, but does not give a price for that plan.

Platforms

Wizer supports web, Android and iOS access, plus an API for integrations. SCORM support lets organizations place its training in external LMS platforms rather than move all learning administration into Wizer.

Who it's for

Wizer is a strong candidate for organizations that want to combine awareness courses, phishing simulations and learner administration, especially where existing identity providers or an LMS matter. The free tier suits basic training needs; teams that need simulations, risk scoring or a fuller reporting workflow should assess Boost. Organizations unable to accept a three-year commitment or USA-based sub-processor locations may prefer a different fit.

Pros and cons

Pros: Training combines familiar risks, compliance subjects and AI/deepfake awareness, with 11 course languages.
Pros: Boost brings adaptive simulations, monthly refreshed templates, report buttons and risk scoring into the same service as course planning and analytics.
Pros: Directory, SSO, Zapier, API and SCORM options can fit varied identity and LMS setups.
Cons: The free plan is limited to basic training and reporting, so it will not serve teams seeking the Boost simulation workflow.
Cons: The published annual Boost structure is a 3-year term; 1-year pricing requires a request, and the lowest rates apply only at higher user volumes.
Cons: Named data locations are in the USA, which may not suit organizations with other residency requirements.

Alternatives

Consider SentryMail if a self-hosted option matters more than Wizer's cloud-based training and simulation mix; it also has a free plan.

CyberHoot is another freemium option with a web platform and a free trial; its Autopilot plan is listed at 125.00 USD per month.

Breach Secure Now is worth comparing if a paid web platform with a free trial is the desired starting point.

CyberPilot offers paid web plans for 1–20 users at 13.00 EUR per month or 13.00 EUR per year; compare its stated small-team pricing if that is the range you need.

Keepnet Labs is a paid alternative with API, self-hosted and web platforms, and an Essentials plan priced at 1.80 USD per month for 25–50 employees with a 3-year option.

Proofpoint Email DLP and Encryption is a paid option for readers who want to compare a product available on Android, iOS, web and Windows.

LUCY Security may suit buyers seeking an on-prem deployment option alongside phishing simulations; its CORE and PRO prices are custom pricing.

Hoxhunt is another paid alternative.

Verdict

Wizer is a good fit for organizations that want security training, phishing simulations and course administration to work together, with integrations that can accommodate common identity providers and LMS platforms. Its free plan is adequate for basic training, while Boost supplies the simulation and reporting capabilities that make the platform more useful for an active awareness program. Look elsewhere if a three-year pricing commitment or USA-based data locations are unacceptable.
