Overview

HunoMenu brings customer ordering and service operations into a cloud POS. Food-truck operators can adjust menus or prices by location, while customers scan a QR code and order in a mobile browser without installing an app. That removes an extra step for customers; direct UPI payments to a merchant bank account and the maker's no-order-commission approach may also suit businesses wary of per-order charges.

The product is from Hoximoxin Info Tech Private Limited and targets India's food-service sector. A free tier and a trial that does not require a credit card lower the barrier to trying it, and the food-truck page advertises setup in 15 minutes. Those are useful starting points, but they do not resolve the question of what paid operation will cost.

Key features

Menus and QR ordering

Menus can include item variations and photos, scheduled menus, and live stock toggles. These controls matter when availability changes during service or menus vary by time or location. Customers order through a mobile browser after scanning a QR code, so ordering does not depend on customers installing an app.

Checkout and kitchen flow

The food-truck solution combines mobile checkout with cloud POS syncing across devices. Orders and kitchen tickets can route to thermal printers over Wi-Fi, LAN, USB or Bluetooth, and customers can follow order-status updates. This gives operators several printer connection options, though the right fit depends on the hardware and network they use.

Extensions and security

A WhatsApp add-on supports checkout, digital receipts and status messages through WhatsApp Web links or the WhatsApp Cloud API. A separate Google Business Profile add-on links an ordering URL from Search and Maps listings. HunoMenu also offers an offline desktop billing add-on with local network printing and automatic cloud sync. These extensions broaden how orders and billing can fit into service, but each is an add-on rather than a core capability to assume is included.

The features page says SSL technology protects merchant accounts, client details and store transactions. Support options include WhatsApp help, email concierge and a knowledge base with guides and video tutorials.

Pricing

HunoMenu uses a freemium model with a free tier, and the food-truck page offers a free trial without requiring a credit card. Paid subscriptions can be billed monthly or yearly, and the maker says sales incur no commission. Paid plans have custom pricing; operators should confirm the subscription cost and which features or add-ons are included before committing. No free-plan caps or trial length are established, so teams should verify those terms as part of evaluating the service.

The free tier is the sensible starting point for a small operation assessing QR ordering and POS fit. Larger or established teams should settle the paid-plan scope and recurring cost first, especially if they need specific integrations or offline billing.

Platforms

HunoMenu supports Android, iOS, web and Windows. Downloads include Windows 10/11 software, an Android app for Android 8.0 or later, and an Android TV/Fire OS app. The iOS app is marked as coming soon, so iPhone-dependent staff should not assume they can use a native app today. Browser-based QR ordering does not require customers to install an app.

Who it's for

HunoMenu is a strong candidate for food trucks and other food-service operators who need QR ordering, mobile checkout, menu controls and printer routing in one workflow. Location-based menu and pricing changes are particularly relevant to mobile vendors, while stock toggles and scheduled menus suit teams managing changing availability. It is less suitable for buyers who require a currently available iOS app or who need a firm paid price before evaluating a platform.

Pros and cons

Pros: Customers order from a mobile browser without an app, avoiding a download hurdle.
Pros: Menu variations, schedules, live stock controls and location-based changes support changing service needs.
Pros: Thermal printer connections span Wi-Fi, LAN, USB and Bluetooth, with order-status updates for customers.
Pros: The maker says orders carry no commission and supports direct UPI payments to merchants' bank accounts.
Cons: The iOS app is coming soon, limiting native-app options for iPhone users.
Cons: Paid plans use custom pricing, making subscription costs harder to compare upfront.
Cons: WhatsApp checkout, Google ordering and offline desktop billing are add-ons, so buyers should confirm the cost and scope they need.
