Overview

InColor combines a large illustration library with drawing tools, image transformations and community features. That breadth is its clearest advantage: a user can color a supplied page, turn a photo or doodle into a project, generate a sketch from a keyword, or begin on a blank canvas. It is a better fit for varied creative sessions than for someone looking only for a simple, focused coloring book.

The free plan includes a selection of patterns and features, with ads. Premium subscriptions unlock all content and remove ads. The terms also leave users without a guarantee that their work will be backed up or retained, so InColor should not be the sole home for artwork that matters.

Key features

Pages and ways to start

InColor has thousands of curated illustrations, with new styles added daily. Its AI coloring-book generator creates black-and-white sketches from keywords, while photo-to-line-art conversion, text-based coloring ideas and doodle transformation offer alternatives to choosing a preset page. This variety is useful for people who like to bring their own prompts or images into a coloring session. The free selection is limited, however, so access to the full content library requires Premium Access.

Coloring and drawing tools

Brushes, gradients and advanced detail controls support more than basic fill-in coloring. Freeform coloring and a blank-canvas mode let users create original art, and importing personal images gives them another starting point. These options make InColor appealing to hobbyists who want both structured pages and room to draw; they are less compelling for someone who wants only a straightforward color-by-number experience.

Community

Users can share artwork, connect with creators and join weekly themed challenges. That adds a social reason to return and a prompt for users who enjoy making art alongside others. It is an optional benefit rather than a substitute for the app's core coloring and drawing tools.

Pricing

InColor is freemium. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes a selection of patterns and features with ads. It suits a first look at the app, but the restricted selection and advertising make it a limited choice for regular use.

Paid plans include premium content and ad removal. The monthly subscription is 15.99 USD per month; it offers a short commitment for users who want ongoing access without choosing an annual or one-time plan. The Annually subscription costs 29.99 USD per year, while the separate yearly subscription costs 59.99 USD per year. The lower-priced annual option is the cheaper recurring choice; the higher-priced yearly option has the same stated inclusions. The Lifetime Membership costs 39.99 USD per once for premium content and ad removal, making it the one-time option for users who prefer not to pay by month or year.

Some weekly, monthly and yearly subscription options include a 3-day free trial. Premium Access also unlocks new books each week and features including brushes, stripes and frames. Compare the subscription terms before choosing a recurring plan, particularly given the two annual prices. No seat limits or usage quotas are part of these plans.

Platforms

InColor is available on Android, iOS and macOS. That cross-platform reach suits users who want the app across mobile and desktop environments.

Who it's for

InColor is a strong fit for casual artists who want a ready-made library but do not want to be limited to it. Keyword-generated sketches, photo conversion, imported images and free drawing give curious users multiple ways into a project, while weekly challenges may appeal to those who enjoy sharing work. It is less suitable for anyone who needs dependable artwork storage: Eyewind's terms say it is not obligated to back up user content and may delete it at any time. Eyewind says personal data is stored in secure environments behind firewall-protected servers, while acknowledging no system is completely secure; its privacy policy is adopted according to the EU GDPR.

Pros and cons

Pros: Thousands of curated illustrations and daily style additions give users a changing library to explore.
Pros: Keyword sketches, photo-to-line-art conversion, doodle transformation and text-based ideas provide several ways to make a page from personal input.
Pros: Brushes, gradients, detail controls, image import and a blank canvas make the app useful for both coloring and original drawing.
Cons: The free tier has ads and only a selection of patterns and features, so the full library requires payment.
Cons: Artwork is not guaranteed to be backed up or kept, which makes the app a poor sole archive for important creations.
Cons: Two yearly options cost 29.99 USD per year and 59.99 USD per year despite sharing the stated premium-content and ad-removal inclusions.

Verdict

Choose InColor if you want a flexible coloring app that combines a broad illustration library with prompt- and image-based projects, drawing tools and a social layer. Its free tier makes it easy to begin, but the limited selection and ads favor upgrading for regular use. Look elsewhere if long-term artwork retention is essential or if you want a simpler, more narrowly focused coloring app.
