Overview

The Innovative Language 101 app offers courses in 34 languages, with new and archived audio and video lessons from Absolute Beginner through Advanced. That breadth gives learners a path beyond introductory material, while the two lesson formats offer a more structured course than a tool centered on isolated drills.

Progress syncs across the app, website and other platforms, making it practical to move between devices. Lessons and entire series can be downloaded for offline study, though some audio still requires an internet connection. The mobile app does not support flashcards, and its interface is in English only; those constraints matter for learners who rely on cards or want to study in another interface language.

Key features

Audio and video lessons: New and archived material spans beginner through advanced levels. Learners can choose a course with room to progress, though the breadth of levels alone does not establish how lessons are organized within each course.
Offline downloads and syncing: Download lessons or whole series for study away from a connection, then continue across the app, website and other platforms. Some audio remains online-only, so offline access is not complete.
Speech practice, placement test and personalized review: These tools support speaking practice, an initial level check and review tailored to the learner. They make the course more than passive listening, though the mobile app’s missing flashcards may frustrate learners who want that study format on their phone.
Teacher support: Premium PLUS adds messaging with a personal teacher and hand-graded assessments with feedback, giving learners a route to individualized guidance.
Security and privacy: The company says it uses access controls, least-privilege practices, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, and TLS/SSL encryption in transit. Its privacy notice says cookies serve functionality, analytics, personalization and advertising; some can be managed in browser settings.
Customer support: Contact support from within the app or submit a ticket through the help center.

Pricing

The freemium offering has a free lifetime account, plus a 7-day trial. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and charged upfront.

Free — free: Free lessons, transcripts and mobile app access. This is a way to start without a subscription, but it does not include access to all lessons.
Basic — 8.00 USD per month: Access to all lessons, lesson notes and transcripts. A fit for learners who want the full lesson catalog and reference material without the additional study tools.
Premium — 25.00 USD per month: Adds line-by-line audio, spaced repetition flashcards and study tools to Basic. It suits learners who want more structured review; the mobile app itself still does not support flashcards.
Premium PLUS — 47.00 USD per month: Adds teacher access, hand-graded assessments and personalized guidance to Premium. Choose it if feedback from a teacher is central to your learning; otherwise, it is a substantial step up from the lower tiers.

Platforms

Available on Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. The company also offers mobile apps, with progress syncing across its app, website and other platforms.

Who it's for

This is a strong fit for learners who want audio and video courses across a wide range of levels, need progress to follow them between devices, or value downloadable lessons. Premium PLUS is aimed at learners who want a teacher to assess work and provide guidance. Look elsewhere if flashcards in the mobile app or a non-English app interface are essential to your routine.
