Overview

Layla builds personalized plans covering flights, hotels, activities, dining and recommendations. It says it checks real-time prices and availability for flights, hotels, trains and car rentals, with Booking.com, Skyscanner and GetYourGuide among its named travel partners. That gives travelers a route from inspiration to purchase options, although comparison results still need checking before a booking is made.

Human travel advisors can plan, book and manage trips, and Layla says advisor planning carries no extra planning cost. This is a meaningful alternative to managing every decision through an AI assistant. With explicit consent, users can import trip information from Gmail or Outlook and travel-profile information from Instagram, reducing manual setup while requiring access to personal accounts.

Key features

Itineraries, routes and maps

Travelers can revise itineraries, routes, schedules and costs rather than accepting a fixed AI draft. PDF export supports offline use and sharing. Interactive video, multi-destination route maps and a road-trip planner make Layla more useful for journeys with several stops than a simple destination suggestion tool. Creator travel videos are connected to planning tools, so inspiration can feed directly into a draft route.

Search and booking support

Live searches across air, rail, lodging and car rental categories are valuable for travelers balancing dates, transport and budget in one plan. Booking links connect the plan to providers, but Layla is still a planning layer: verify prices, availability, restrictions and other important details before paying.

Advisor option and privacy controls

Advisor assistance covers planning, booking and trip management for people who want a human to take over complex arrangements. Layla says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by access controls, and that identity documents are kept in private, access-controlled storage. Its AI providers process user content to generate results and, according to Layla, do not use that content to train their models. Support chat is provided by Intercom, with help@layla.ai given for privacy inquiries.

Pricing

Layla.ai

The free plan is free and has no subscription fee. Users pay for the travel they choose to book. It is the sensible starting point for occasional travelers who want to build plans and inspect options without a recurring charge, but the plan's published terms do not promise unlimited app access.

Layla Premium

Layla Premium has custom pricing. It provides unlimited access to the app, making it the better fit for frequent planners or households creating many itineraries.

Platforms

Layla is available on Android, iOS and the web, with a mobile app and map view. That combination suits travelers who plan on a desktop and consult routes from a phone while moving. Collaborative planning lets groups shape a trip together, while PDF export provides a fallback when offline access matters.

Who it's for

Layla is a strong match for multi-stop trips, road journeys and rail itineraries where routes, timing and cost interact. Families and groups can use collaboration, while business and luxury travelers may value advisor-managed arrangements. Solo travelers and couples who mainly need a short, simple booking may find the broader toolkit unnecessary. Anyone relying on an AI-generated schedule should independently confirm critical travel information.

Pros and cons

Pros: Covers flights, hotels, activities, dining and recommendations in one itinerary.
Pros: Searches live availability and prices across several transport and accommodation categories.
Pros: Human advisors can plan, book and manage trips without an extra planning charge.
Pros: Route maps, road-trip planning, collaboration and PDF export support complex or shared journeys.
Cons: AI travel details may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, so important information requires verification.
Cons: Premium pricing is custom, making the upgrade cost harder to assess.
Cons: Gmail, Outlook and Instagram imports require explicit permission to connect personal accounts.
