Overview

Judge.me brings together review requests, management, storefront displays and syndication. The Free plan includes unlimited requests, photo and video review requests, a review widget and a star rating badge. That makes it a practical starting point for merchants building review coverage, though Free does not include every advanced feature.

Key features

Collect and display reviews

Merchants can invite customers to submit photo and video reviews, then show feedback through widgets, star badges, carousels and other storefront displays. Free includes a widget and badge, giving a new store basic ways to present reviews without a subscription. Merchants who need more advanced capabilities will need to consider Awesome.

Integrations, Shop sync and AI

The integration directory includes Klaviyo, Omnisend, Shopify Flow, Zapier and LoyaltyLion, which can connect review activity with other store tools. The Shop app connection can send Judge.me reviews to Shop and return eligible Shop reviews to Judge.me. Judge.me also describes AI tools for review summaries, reply suggestions and translations. Together, these features broaden the workflow, but the stated Shop sync is specific to that app rather than a promise of distribution across every review network.

API and security

Judge.me provides an API and grants app developers access through OAuth. It states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certified. These are relevant considerations for merchants integrating review data into other software or assessing a vendor's security posture.

Pricing

Judge.me uses a freemium model, with a 15-day free trial for Awesome.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	Free	Unlimited review requests, a review widget, star rating badge, CSV imports, and photo and video review requests.
Awesome	15.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Free features plus advanced features and a 15-day free trial.

Free covers the core collection and display basics without a request cap, making it a sensible fit for merchants prioritizing volume on a zero-cost plan. Awesome costs 15.00 USD per month, has no yearly plan, and adds advanced features; it is the paid option for stores that outgrow the free feature set. Both plans advertise 24/7 human support by chat and email. No seat or request quota is stated for Awesome, so merchants should not assume a particular allowance beyond the plan terms above.

Platforms

Judge.me is available exclusively as a Shopify app. It has sunset apps for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Square, Duda and PrestaShop, so merchants on those platforms should look elsewhere. Some platform-independent widgets are available on Awesome for external storefront pages, but they do not remove the requirement to keep the store on Shopify. The API and OAuth access support integrations, while not changing that platform constraint.

Who it's for

Judge.me is best suited to Shopify merchants who want unlimited review requests on Free, need photo or video submissions, and want built-in storefront displays. It can also suit stores that need integrations, Shop review sync or API access. It is not the right fit for a merchant whose store runs on another commerce platform or who needs review collection without a Shopify store.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free includes unlimited review requests, so merchants can build review volume without a request ceiling on that plan.
Pro: Photo and video review requests are included on Free, alongside a widget and star badge.
Pro: 24/7 human chat and email support is advertised on both Free and Awesome.
Con: Shopify is required for the store, excluding merchants using other commerce platforms.
Con: Advanced features require Awesome at 15.00 USD per month; there is no yearly plan for that tier.
Con: External-page widgets do not make Judge.me platform-independent, since the store must remain on Shopify.

Verdict

Choose Judge.me if you run a Shopify store and want unlimited review requests, photo and video collection, and basic display tools without paying upfront. Its strongest reason to choose it is the breadth of the Free plan for review collection; its decisive reason to look elsewhere is the Shopify-only store requirement.
