Overview

Kitchen.co brings client requests, task tracking, messages, files, and invoices together around shared projects. Teams can give clients a place to follow progress and respond, rather than sending them between separate tools. That makes it a natural fit for creative agencies, accounting and bookkeeping firms, freelancers, and law firms. Businesses looking for an internal-only project tracker may get less from a product built around client participation.

The product grew out of 2create.io, drawing on its founders’ 15 years of agency experience. It is provided by 2 Create Ltd, based in Varna, Bulgaria.

Key features

Shared work and communication

Teams and clients can use Kanban boards to assign tasks, update statuses, and post updates in real time. Conversations cover both internal messages and client discussions, and client email replies sync with Kitchen.co. Keeping project exchanges close to the work can help service teams maintain a shared view of progress.

Files and billing

Users can organize and preview files, with message attachments up to 1 GB. Storage and per-file caps still depend on the plan, so teams handling large files should compare those limits before moving their workflow into Kitchen.co. Invoicing supports one-time and recurring charges, automatic payments, and gateways including Stripe, Square, PayPal, Razorpay, and 2checkout.

Integrations, branding, and security

Integrations include Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Zapier, payment services, and accounting tools FreshBooks, FreeAgent, QuickBooks, and Xero. Email forwarding and custom SMTP are also supported. Agency White-label adds advanced branding, unbranded emails, a custom domain, and a custom email domain, which can make the portal feel more consistent with an agency’s client experience.

Kitchen.co says connections use 256-bit SSL and that it is Level 1 PCI compliant; it also says it does not store card numbers or payment tokens. Those measures address connection and payment handling, though they do not replace a team’s own review of its security requirements.

Pricing

The Free plan is free forever. It includes unlimited clients and projects, but caps the account at two internal users and 2 GB of storage, with a 500 MB per-file limit. That is enough room to assess a client workflow or serve a small operation with modest file needs; growing teams will reach the user or storage ceiling quickly.

Agency White-label costs 29.00 USD per month per internal user, billed monthly. It raises storage to 500 GB with a 5 GB per-file limit and includes unlimited clients and projects, file feedback and approvals, recurring invoices, custom roles and permissions, advanced branding, and a custom domain. The per-user billing is the key trade-off: it can suit an agency that needs branded client delivery and those added controls, but the cost rises with the internal team.

Additional storage costs 30.00 USD per month as a flat fee and adds 1 terabyte shared across all users in the account. Lifetime costs 599.00 USD per once, as one payment, and includes unlimited internal users, 500 GB storage with a 5 GB per-file limit, unlimited clients and projects, and all Agency White-label features. The one-time option may appeal to teams that prefer an upfront payment, while the monthly storage add-on addresses capacity separately.

The 14-day trial includes all features and allows any number of team members without a credit card. That gives teams room to evaluate the broader workflow before choosing a plan. Customers with pricing questions can contact the Kitchen.co team.

Platforms

Kitchen.co is available on Android, iOS, and the web, giving teams and clients mobile and browser access.

Who it's for

Kitchen.co is strongest for service businesses that want clients to submit requests, follow tasks, exchange files, discuss work, and receive invoices through one portal. Agencies that value white-label branding and recurring billing have a clear reason to consider Agency White-label. A solo freelancer or small firm may find the free plan useful if two internal users and 2 GB of storage are enough. Larger teams should weigh the per-user monthly price against the Lifetime option and their storage needs.

Pros and cons

Client work stays connected. Boards, conversations, requests, files, and billing share a client-facing workspace, which suits teams that want clients involved in ongoing work.
Billing covers recurring work. Recurring invoices, automatic payments, and several payment gateways support service businesses with repeat billing.
Broad storage and file options on paid plans. Agency White-label raises storage to 500 GB and the per-file cap to 5 GB, while an add-on supplies 1 terabyte shared across the account.
The free plan has tight operating limits. Two internal users, 2 GB total storage, and a 500 MB per-file cap may constrain even a small team handling sizable client files.
Agency White-label scales by seat. At 29.00 USD per month per internal user, larger internal teams face a higher recurring bill.

Alternatives

Customer Portal Software is a category overview for readers comparing portal products. Consider FuseBase if you want a freemium portal with a free tier that includes one client portal and one workspace, alongside its editor and nested folders. Xpand Portal is a paid option with a 30-day free plan for 10 users, worth comparing if that trial allowance better matches your evaluation needs. Plutio is another service-business option, with a Core plan at 19.00 USD per month and limits including nine active clients and no additional contributors.

Assembly offers a free plan for five active contacts and one internal user, a possible fit for a small legal client-portal workflow. MyDocSafe has a Business Pro plan at 25.00 USD per month billed annually, with unlimited signatures, 200 guest users, and 500 GB storage, making it worth comparing for signature-heavy workflows. Dock has a free plan with 10 workspaces and caps on assets and other items, for readers whose needs align with that workspace model. SuperOkay is another freemium option. Tarkle Portal is a paid option with a free Basic plan that includes 5 GB cloud storage and one team member.

Verdict

Choose Kitchen.co if your agency or service business wants clients to work alongside your team across projects, communication, files, and invoices, with white-label controls available on the paid plan. Its main advantage is that breadth in a single client-facing portal. Look elsewhere if the two-user, 2 GB free tier is too restrictive or if per-user monthly billing makes the paid plan a poor fit for your team.
