Overview

Voicent combines messaging and call-center capabilities in a browser-based cloud service or Windows on-premise software. Cloud access works from phones and tablets, but cloud calls cover only the USA and Canada; the on-premise product supports local phone and text services worldwide. That makes the deployment choice a practical one: cloud is convenient within its coverage area, while Windows-based on-premise software is the route for broader geographic reach.

Cloud accounts can import unlimited contacts without extra fees, useful for large outreach lists. Call charges run from pickup to hang-up, with a 30-second minimum and six-second increments after that. Brief calls therefore still incur the minimum. Voicent says it does not sell personal information and encrypts registration information stored on password-restricted servers.

Key features

Cloud plans include campaigns, an agent dashboard and predictive dialing. Other supported dialing modes include progressive, preview, click-to-call and alternate phone dialing; call recording and voicemail drop round out the calling tools. That range suits teams that need to vary how agents and campaigns place calls, though the listed capacity of one agent and two parallel calls is modest.

CRM connections include Salesforce, SugarCRM, Zoho CRM, MySQL and Voicent CRM. The developer interfaces span simple, application, GUI and advanced gateway options, as well as CRM and campaign interfaces. This gives organizations several routes to connect Voicent with existing workflows, but the feature breadth is most useful when a team has a concrete need for those integrations or interfaces.

Pricing

Voicent is freemium, with a free plan and a 30-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 100 minutes/texts, a useful small-scale starting point but a tight allowance for ongoing campaigns. The Starter plan costs 179.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for 6,500 minutes/texts per month, unlimited campaigns and contacts, an auto dialer, predictive dialer, CRM and reports. It suits a small team that needs regular outreach and reporting, though its monthly quota and listed one-agent, two-call capacity limit how far it can scale.

Premium costs 549.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and raises the allowance to 25,000 minutes/texts per month. It adds multiple locations, role-based access, an agent dashboard and IVR integration, making it the more relevant tier for organizations coordinating across sites or managing permissions. Enterprise costs 22222.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes 1 Million minutes/texts per month, a dedicated server, ACD skills-based routing, unlimited phone lines and a powerful API. Its scope is aimed at large operations rather than cost-conscious small teams.

Pay as you Go costs 19198.00 USD per month, billed monthly or yearly, and includes credit bundles, five lines per agent, credits that never expire, a free 30 days, one agent and two lines. The included one-agent, two-line setup is notably smaller than the five-lines-per-agent description, so buyers should confirm what applies to their intended configuration. The stated paid starting point is $19/mo, but the named paid tiers above carry substantially higher prices; compare the exact plan and calling terms before budgeting. Cloud calls also have a 30-second minimum billing increment.

Platforms

Voicent supports API, web, self-hosted and Windows platforms. The hosted option avoids a Windows server requirement and can be reached through a browser on mobile devices. On-premise server software requires Windows OS, a constraint for organizations standardizing on other server platforms. Standard support runs 8am-5pm Monday-Friday PST, excluding Voicent holidays or closures; on-premise support covers the latest release and the three previous versions of prior releases.

Who it's for

Voicent is best suited to organizations running voice, email or text campaigns that also need dialing, call-center features and CRM connectivity. It is less compelling for teams requiring cloud calling outside the USA and Canada, non-Windows on-premise servers, or more agent and parallel-call capacity than the listed limits provide.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited cloud contact imports without extra fees help teams maintain large lists; cloud plans include campaign and call-center tools; multiple CRM and developer interfaces support integration needs.
Cons: Cloud calling is limited to the USA and Canada, while calls have a 30-second minimum charge; on-premise server software requires Windows; the listed capacity of one agent and two parallel calls may constrain smaller plans.

Alternatives

For a self-hosted, free and open-source option, consider FreeSWITCH, which runs on Linux, macOS and Windows and offers community support. Choose Telnyx Text-to-Speech API when an API-based, pay-as-you-go service with no contract better matches the need. Twilio Studio is another web and API option, with 1,000 flow executions per month free. Asterisk is a free, open-source, self-hosted alternative for Linux users. NCH IVM Telephone Answering Attendant is a paid alternative for Linux or Windows with a free trial. Telnyx TeXML offers a web-based, pay-as-you-go option with no contract required. Consider Ozonetel IVR System or Plum Fuse as alternatives. For category comparisons, browse Interactive Voice Response Software, IVR Software and Predictive Dialer Software.

Verdict

Choose Voicent if your organization needs campaign messaging, dialing and CRM options in one service, and its coverage and Windows requirements fit your operations. Its broad toolset is the main draw; limited listed agent capacity, regional cloud calling and minimum call billing are reasons to look elsewhere if scale, geography or call costs are decisive.
