Overview

Kittl is a browser-based creative platform for making graphics, illustrations, presentations, and branded content. It suits creators and small teams who want design tools, templates, assets, and AI generation in one workspace. The main trade-off is clear: the free tier is useful for personal projects, but commercial work and more sustained production call for a paid plan.

Key features

Kittl combines templates, mockups, photos, graphics, and fonts with illustration and presentation tools. An infinite canvas, text effects, background removal, image upscaling, and vectorization support work from early concepts through polished artwork. Brand kits and real-time collaboration are useful for keeping shared work consistent, although extra editors are charged according to the chosen plan.

AI image, vector, and video generation sit alongside an AI creative agent. These tools broaden the kinds of work a user can start in Kittl, but access is tied to token allowances: the free plan has 100 one-time tokens, while the Expert plan provides 200 daily. Paid plans also bring premium assets, higher-resolution and vector exports, larger project limits, and commercial licensing.

For online sellers, Shopify banners, Etsy banners, and Etsy listings make Kittl relevant to storefront graphics as well as general design. A library of more than 1M photos, graphics, and fonts on the free plan gives newcomers room to explore, while premium assets expand the selection for paid users.

Pricing

Kittl uses a freemium model. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and lasts forever, with five projects, 100 one-time AI tokens, and access to more than 1M photos, graphics, and fonts. It is restricted to personal use, so anyone producing commercial work needs a paid plan. Free users can preview most Pro features, but only under light usage limits; five projects also make the tier better for occasional or exploratory work than an ongoing portfolio.

Pro costs 168.00 USD per year with annual billing. It includes unlimited projects, 2,000 AI tokens per month, 10,000+ premium templates and mockups, and 10 GB of file storage. This is the practical step up for regular individual creators who need commercial rights and more room than the free plan permits, though its monthly token allowance is finite.

Expert costs 468.00 USD per year with annual billing. It includes 12,000 AI tokens per month, 100M+ curated assets, and 100 GB of file storage; Expert also receives 200 AI tokens daily. The larger storage and asset library make it better suited to professionals with heavier or faster-moving workloads, but it costs substantially more than Pro.

Plans renew monthly or annually according to the selected billing option. Subscriptions can be canceled in account settings at any time, with access continuing through the current billing cycle. Additional editors are charged according to the plan. Kittl accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Amex through Stripe; transactions use 256-bit SSL encryption.

Platforms

Kittl runs on the web. It has no desktop or mobile app, so users who need a dedicated installed application or native mobile workflow should choose another tool.

Who it's for

Kittl is a good fit for creators who make visual assets regularly, especially those who value templates, illustration tools, AI generation, and mockups in one browser workspace. Brand kits and collaboration can help small teams maintain consistency, while seller-specific storefront graphics make it relevant to ecommerce creators. It is less suitable for someone who needs commercial rights at no cost, works mostly on a phone or desktop app, or requires a fixed project budget without AI token limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free tier lasts indefinitely and includes a sizable library of photos, graphics, and fonts, so personal projects can start without a subscription.
Pros: Templates, mockups, illustration and image tools, and several forms of AI generation cover varied creative tasks in a single web platform.
Pros: Pro removes the project cap and includes commercial licensing, premium templates, and higher-resolution and vector exports.
Cons: Free use is personal only, with just five projects and 100 one-time AI tokens, which limits its appeal for ongoing or commercial work.
Cons: AI production remains quota-based on paid plans, and Expert's higher daily allowance comes with a much higher annual price than Pro.
Cons: No desktop or mobile app is offered, and extra collaborators can add plan-dependent charges.

Alternatives

For apparel-focused work, MockupFit is worth considering when unlimited garment designs, live previews, mockup downloads, and Printful export matter more than Kittl's broader creative toolkit; its free plan has no AI credits. Screenhance Apparel Mockup Generator is another apparel-oriented option, with a free plan capped at three monthly exports at 1x resolution.

FastEditor may suit businesses seeking a product-customization editor integrated with commerce systems, while Mock It is an alternative for users focused on mockup creation and downloads. w3D is an iOS alternative. For a free online T-shirt designer, consider Printonator; for a web-based AI design studio with five free credits per new account, consider YouWear.ai. Vexels T-Shirt Creator is another freemium option for T-shirt design.

Readers comparing tools by category can also browse T-Shirt Design Software, AI Poster Generators, AI Graphic Design Software, Video Thumbnail Makers, Podcast Cover Maker Software, and Print Design Template Libraries.

Verdict

Choose Kittl if you want a browser-based design workspace that brings templates, assets, illustration tools, and AI creation together, and you are prepared to pay for commercial rights and greater capacity. Its free plan is a worthwhile personal-use starting point, but the project cap and one-time token allowance make Pro the more viable choice for regular production. Look elsewhere if a native app, unrestricted AI use, or a no-cost commercial license is essential.
