Overview

LoginTC adds a second verification step to applications and systems, with cloud, on-premises, hybrid and air-gapped deployment options. It is best suited to organizations that need MFA across established access systems or tightly controlled environments; its broad factor support is balanced by a 15-user minimum on paid plans.

Founded in 2011 and based in Kanata, Ontario, LoginTC serves customers from small businesses to large enterprises, including healthcare, finance and government. The company says it has been ISO 27001 certified since 2023.

Key features

LoginTC supports push notifications and number matching, software OTP, authenticator apps, OATH hardware tokens, security keys, email and SMS passcodes, phone calls, passcode grids and bypass codes. Business includes offline authentication, and offline QR scanning is among the supported factors. This breadth gives administrators options for users with different devices and connectivity needs, though some capabilities depend on plan and configuration.

Connectors cover RADIUS VPN and remote access, Active Directory and LDAP, Outlook Web App, RD Web Access, ADFS, Windows Logon and RDP, and Entra ID EAM for Office 365. Integration methods also include SAML/SSO, iframe authentication and REST API. The API can administer users, tokens and domain membership, and send or check authentication sessions, but applies only to Cloud deployments. Adaptive access policies, passwordless authentication and device trust controls are also supported.

Deployment flexibility is a notable strength for organizations with on-premises or air-gapped requirements, as well as those choosing cloud. Standard support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM EST, with round-the-clock coverage for critical issues.

Pricing

Cloud Starter is free for up to three users and includes VPN and firewall protection plus push authentication. It is a practical way for a very small team to begin, but the user cap makes it unsuitable for a growing organization.

Cloud Professional costs 3.00 USD per month, billed annually, and Cloud Business costs 5.00 USD per month, billed annually. Each requires at least 15 users, with licenses added in bundles of five. Those minimums make the entry price less useful to small teams than the headline rate suggests. Business includes offline authentication; Professional is the lower-cost paid option.

On-Premises Managed costs 7.00 USD per month, billed annually, also with a 15-user minimum and licenses in bundles of five. It is aimed at organizations that need managed on-premises deployment, at a higher per-user price than the cloud plans.

A 15-day trial provides access to Business features and requires no credit card. Paid subscriptions are annual, so the low monthly figures do not represent a month-to-month commitment.

Platforms

LoginTC supports Android, iOS, web, Windows, browser extensions, APIs and self-hosted deployments. That range accommodates mobile authentication alongside desktop and server-side integration needs.

Who it's for

LoginTC is a strong fit for IT teams connecting MFA to VPNs, directory services, Windows access or Microsoft environments, and for organizations that need cloud, on-premises or isolated deployment. Smaller teams can evaluate it on the free plan, but the 15-user paid minimum and annual billing are drawbacks for buyers seeking a small, flexible subscription. It is less compelling when a team needs only a standalone authenticator app rather than MFA integrated across systems.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad authentication methods, including hardware tokens, security keys, phone and offline options, help accommodate varied user and network conditions.
Pros: Cloud, on-premises, hybrid and air-gapped deployment choices suit organizations with different infrastructure constraints.
Pros: Connectors for RADIUS, directory services and Windows access reduce the need to build every integration from scratch.
Cons: Paid plans require at least 15 users, so the advertised per-user pricing can be a poor fit for smaller teams.
Cons: Annual billing limits flexibility for organizations that want a short-term or month-to-month paid plan.
Cons: The REST API is limited to Cloud deployments, which narrows its use for custom on-premises integrations.

Alternatives

miniOrange Multi-Factor Authentication is worth considering for organizations comparing a paid MFA product with a free individual plan; its Essential plan starts at 2.00 USD per mo, below LoginTC's paid entry rate, though LoginTC offers a free tier for up to three users and multiple deployment models.

LinOTP is the alternative to consider when open-source licensing and a free product are central priorities. LoginTC is the more direct fit for buyers seeking listed commercial plans and cloud, hybrid or air-gapped deployment choices.

Duo Mobile suits teams needing a free plan for up to 10 users or considering phishing-resistant MFA and passwordless authentication on its paid Essentials plan. LoginTC instead emphasizes broader deployment options and integrations with access systems.

Deepnet DualShield MFA Platform is an alternative for buyers seeking on-premises or private-cloud deployment and willing to request a quote.

HYPR Authenticate is an option for teams focused on phishing-resistant onboarding and web access. LoginTC offers more explicit deployment choices, including air-gapped environments.

Specops uReset is worth comparing for organizations evaluating a hybrid access product with volume-based pricing.

WatchGuard FireCloud is a paid alternative with a listed annual plan for 1–50 licenses; LoginTC has a free plan for up to three users and broader deployment choices.

FileAudit is another paid option to compare, with a listed Team plan priced in euros.

Verdict

Choose LoginTC if your organization needs MFA tied into VPN, directory, Windows or Microsoft access systems and values deployment flexibility, especially offline or air-gapped operation. Its wide choice of factors is the strongest reason to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if your team has fewer than 15 users for a paid plan or needs month-to-month billing; the free three-user tier is useful for a small start, but does not remove those paid-plan constraints.
