Overview

Market Dojo is a procurement platform for sourcing events, auctions and supplier engagement, with tools for onboarding and contract management. It suits procurement teams that need flexible event formats and supplier questionnaires, especially when an API matters. Its free access is for testing; live use means choosing a paid licence or requesting custom pricing.

Key features

Sourcing and auctions

Teams can run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs with document uploads, weighted events and advanced pricing tables. Open, ranked, Japanese, forward and reverse auctions broaden the ways to structure competition, while bid comparison and negotiation workflows support evaluating offers. This range is useful for teams with varied sourcing needs, but the Advanced tier’s multi-stage events, advanced lots and partial bidding may be unnecessary for straightforward quote collection.

Questionnaires and supplier onboarding

Questionnaires combine multiple question types, weighted questions, tables and document uploads; responses can be scored automatically or manually, and generative AI is included. That gives procurement teams options for collecting and assessing supplier information. The dedicated Supplier Onboarding Simple plan includes 500 suppliers and unlimited internal users, making its supplier cap the key consideration for larger programmes.

Integrations, API and security

Integrations include multi-ERP, Focal Point, Esker, Veridion, Power BI, Microsoft Entra ID, Google SSO, Okta, Spend HQ–PMM and SAML. The RESTful API is available to all users and includes live documentation, a useful point for teams assessing integration needs before committing. Market Dojo states that it is ISO 27001 certified and hosts its software on Google Cloud Platform.

Support

Support is offered by live chat and email. Email replies are targeted within three hours and query resolution within eight; live chat runs on weekdays, typically 08:45 to 17:00 GMT and CT zones. These stated response targets offer a clear service expectation, though live chat is not described as round-the-clock support.

Pricing

The Sourcing Starter plan is free for creating test events and trying the tool as both buyer and supplier, but it is limited to test suppliers. It is a way to evaluate workflows, not a free route to live sourcing.

Paid sourcing plans are priced by licence term or event. Annual licences are Simple Sourcing at 500.00 GBP per year (billed £500.00 /month (billed annually)), Pro Sourcing at 583.00 GBP per year (billed £583 /month (billed annually)), and Advanced Sourcing at 667.00 GBP per year (billed £667 /month (billed annually)). Simple includes Simple RFx and eAuctions, templates and libraries, Excel integration, custom fields, user management and live messaging. Pro adds collaborative multi scoring, supplier participation, weighted events, API integration and a dedicated account manager. Advanced adds multi-stage RFx and eAuctions, advanced lots, partial bidding and multi-currency events; advanced analytics and automation require add-ons.

Monthly licences cost 1000.00 GBP per month for Simple (billed £1000.00/month (billed monthly)), 1500.00 GBP per month for Pro (billed £1500.00/month (billed monthly)) and 2000.00 GBP per month for Advanced (billed £2000.00/month (billed monthly)). The same tiers are also available as single-event purchases: Simple at 1000.00 GBP per once (billed £1000.00/event (one off payment)), Pro at 1500.00 GBP per once (billed £1500.00/event (one off payment)) and Advanced at 2000.00 GBP per once (billed £2000.00/event (one off payment)). The annual licence costs less than the monthly option for each sourcing tier, while single-event purchasing avoids a recurring licence but is a substantial outlay for one event.

Supplier Onboarding Simple costs 833.33 GBP per year (billed £833.33 /month (billed annually)) and includes 500 suppliers, unlimited internal users, dynamic questionnaires, custom fields and scoring. Each additional 500 suppliers costs £1500 annual. Across pricing, costs depend on users, suppliers or contracts; monthly costs may be discounted by user count and licence duration, and quotes for more than 5 users require contacting the company.

Platforms

Market Dojo is available on web and through an API. The API’s availability to all users makes it relevant even to teams not buying a higher sourcing tier specifically for API integration.

Who it's for

Market Dojo is aimed at procurement professionals and teams across locations, experience levels and budgets. Its mix of event formats, auctions and supplier questionnaires suits organisations seeking configurable sourcing and supplier engagement in one platform. Teams with more than five users should expect to contact the company for a quote, and organisations needing live suppliers cannot rely on the test-only free access.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad sourcing and auction formats support more than basic RFQs; questionnaire scoring and varied response types help structure supplier assessment.
Pros: The RESTful API is available to all users, and a dedicated account manager is included with Pro Sourcing.
Cons: Free access is confined to testing with test suppliers, so it does not support live sourcing at no cost.
Cons: Costs vary with users, suppliers or contracts, and quotes for more than five users require contacting the company.
Cons: Advanced analytics and automation are add-ons on Advanced Sourcing, so its annual tier price does not include those capabilities.

Alternatives

For a different sourcing option, compare Arkestro, ProcureSprint PR to PO and SAFAL Strategic Sourcing; each is a paid web platform. Keelvar is also a paid API and web sourcing platform, with enterprise-scale positioning and pricing available by request. If the need is broader procurement sourcing, Fairmarkit is a paid enterprise platform with demo-based pricing. Procol Strategic Sourcing offers paid module and add-on selection with custom quotes. For procurement beyond sourcing, ProcurePulse Strategic Sourcing has a paid Starter plan with up to 100 users, core procurement, asset tracking, basic reporting and email support. Esker Accounts Payable Automation is the relevant alternative when accounts payable automation is the need; it is paid, has no free plan or trial, and offers Android, iOS, API and web access.

Verdict

Market Dojo is a strong fit for procurement teams that need configurable sourcing events, auctions and supplier questionnaires, with an API open to all users. Its test-only free access and pricing that varies by user, supplier or contract make it less suitable for buyers seeking free live sourcing or a predictable self-serve quote.
