Overview

MassageHub combines scheduling, client records, SOAP notes and payment handling for independent massage therapists. It is best suited to solo practitioners who need to manage both fixed-location and mobile appointments. Its free tier covers core practice tasks, while travel routing and expanded client communications require a paid plan.

Key features

Client booking: Clients can book from a therapist’s own URL without an app download or account, reducing barriers for people making a first appointment.
Practice records: Client management, digital intake forms and SOAP notes bring routine documentation alongside scheduling. Therapists can export client lists, appointment history and notes as CSV or PDF, useful if they later move platforms.
Mobile scheduling: For consecutive visits, driving or walking time is calculated using Google Maps. That is a practical distinction for therapists travelling between clients, but the feature starts with Solo Pro.
Payments and integrations: Payments run through Stripe, and MassageHub says it does not retain card numbers. The maker also lists Google and Apple calendars, Outlook, Twilio and Zapier among its integrations and tools.
Privacy and AI: The privacy policy says sensitive fields, including calendar URLs and OAuth tokens, are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and data is transmitted over HTTPS. If a therapist requests AI help with SOAP notes, text may be sent to Anthropic’s Claude; this is optional, and the therapist reviews suggestions before saving.

Pricing

MassageHub has a free plan, paid plans from £12/mo and a 30-day trial. The plans are intended for individual solo therapists, with no usage caps subject to a fair-use policy that allows review of unusually high activity. That makes it a poor fit for practices that need multiple staff seats.

Solo Free — free: Online booking page, client management, SOAP notes, Google Calendar sync, online payments, client portal and intake forms. It is a capable starting point for a solo therapist, but omits the paid tiers’ reminders and travel routing.
Solo Pro — 12.00 GBP per month, billed Monthly: Adds email reminders, booking deposits, smart travel time routing, discount codes, a revenue dashboard, a Trusted Therapists listing and SOAP templates. Annual billing is also available. This is the practical step up for mobile therapists or practitioners wanting automated email reminders; the monthly price is higher than Free, and SMS reminders remain out of reach.
Solo Plus — 24.00 GBP per month, billed Monthly: Includes Pro features and adds SMS reminders, gift cards, treatment packages, memberships, a loyalty programme, AI-assisted SOAP notes and events. An annual option is available. Choose it for client-retention tools or SMS communication; otherwise, those additions may not justify the higher monthly spend.

Platforms

MassageHub is available on Android, iOS and the web, giving therapists options across mobile devices and browsers.

Who it's for

Independent UK massage therapists are the clearest fit, particularly solo practitioners who take mobile appointments and want booking, notes, payments and travel timing in one service. Its solo-plan design is a limitation for clinics that need accounts for several practitioners. The maker describes the product as built for independent UK therapists; its founder is a practising therapeutic massage therapist with more than fifteen years’ experience.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan already includes booking, client records, SOAP notes, intake forms and online payments, so a solo practice can cover core admin without starting on a paid tier.
Pro: Account-free booking links and Google Maps travel-time calculations address two practical points for client acquisition and mobile appointment planning.
Pro: CSV and PDF exports support portability of client and appointment records.
Con: Email reminders and smart routing require Pro, while SMS reminders and retention features require Plus; costs rise for therapists who need those extras.
Con: Plans target individual solo therapists, so practices needing multiple staff seats should consider another system.
Con: AI-assisted SOAP notes involve sending requested note text to Claude, which may not suit therapists who prefer not to use external AI processing.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of tools aimed at massage practices, see Massage Therapy Scheduling Software.

WellnessLiving is worth considering for a paid platform with Android, iOS and web support; its Starter plan is 62.00 USD per month billed annually and includes one staff member.
Servegalo may suit a web-based operation that needs support for up to five staff on its 49.00 USD per month Starter plan, rather than MassageHub’s solo-practitioner focus.
Kneadly is another web-based freemium option, with a free plan capped at 25 clients and one therapist account; consider it if those limits suit your practice.
Stillpoint offers a web-based free plan limited to one practitioner, two services and eight appointments per month, making it an option for a smaller-volume start.
Pronto has a free plan for one staff member, 100 clients and 50 bookings per month, and supports self-hosted and desktop platforms as well as the web.
Goldie offers Android, iOS and web access with a free Starter plan capped at 20 appointments per month for one user.
HelloNote is a web-based alternative with a free plan for up to two patients and core EMR features including documentation, scheduling and billing.
Zanda is a paid option with Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows support.

Verdict

MassageHub is a strong match for a solo massage therapist who wants a broad free starting tier and regularly coordinates mobile visits. Its booking URL, records and travel-aware scheduling make a focused case for independent practice. Look elsewhere if you need multiple staff seats, or compare tiers carefully if reminders and client-retention features are central to your workflow.
