Overview

Maxmove Digital POD is delivery-proof software built into Maxmove TMS, for fleets, forwarders and courier companies that need evidence tied to completed orders. It is best suited to operations that can make use of Maxmove’s fleet workflow; the included free tier makes it easy to consider, but API constraints deserve a close look before adoption.

Key features

Evidence for varied delivery requirements

Records can include recipient signatures, photos, PDF delivery notes, age checks, barcode scans, GPS timestamps and blockchain verification. That breadth is useful when a signature alone will not meet a customer or operational requirement, though teams should choose it for the evidence they need rather than the size of the feature list. Uploads are timestamped, geofenced and cryptographically hashed, with configurable retention policies and GDPR-ready handling.

App or link-based capture

The native driver app automatically captures proof when a company-fleet delivery is completed. Subcontractors can use the same app and process, keeping photo, signature and GPS evidence on the order. For drivers who should not install an app or create an account, universal QR-code and SMS links allow uploads from any device. That flexibility suits mixed fleets, while link capture avoids adding setup for occasional users.

Handoffs and operational workflow

Maxmove offers webhooks, a REST API and SFTP export to send structured proof to TMS, ERP or customer portals. Because proof is available when the driver completes delivery, completed orders can be billed immediately rather than waiting for paperwork to return. The Shopify app supports checkout delivery rates and synchronizes qualifying orders with a Maxmove business workspace.

Partner API keys include organization-scoped permissions, test and live modes, signed webhooks and idempotency keys. The API route limits are material for complex jobs: it supports up to ten intermediate stops, and item arrays from one to one hundred lines. Businesses with routes or orders beyond those boundaries should confirm their workflow fits before committing.

Pricing

Digital POD is included in Maxmove TMS’s free entry tier at no cost, cancellable monthly. The tier includes signature, photo and GPS evidence, real-time delivery status and API access. That combination makes it a practical starting point for businesses that want POD without an installation or implementation project, but the stated price and inclusion do not establish a separate standalone paid POD plan.

Maxmove also offers a free 30-day evaluation of the complete fleet platform without a card. The trial lets a prospective customer assess the wider platform, not just proof capture. Businesses seeking dedicated account managers and round-the-clock priority support should note that Maxmove advertises these for businesses, but the free-tier terms do not specify seat counts or usage quotas.

Platforms

Maxmove Digital POD supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The multiple capture routes suit operations with both app-equipped fleet drivers and subcontractors or occasional drivers using a link.

Who it's for

It is a strong fit for fleets, forwarders and courier companies already considering Maxmove TMS, particularly those that need varied proof formats, fast billing handoff or structured exports. It is less compelling for buyers seeking a clearly defined standalone POD subscription, or for businesses whose stop counts or line-item arrays exceed the API limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: Several evidence types, including age verification and blockchain verification, cover requirements beyond signature capture.
Pros: Drivers can use an app or submit through a QR-code or SMS link without an account, supporting different fleet arrangements.
Pros: Proof is available on completion and can flow to business systems through webhooks, REST API or SFTP export.
Cons: API routes cap at ten intermediate stops and item arrays at one hundred lines, which may rule out some order workflows.
Cons: The free entry tier is part of Maxmove TMS, so buyers looking for a separately priced POD product may prefer a different fit.

Alternatives

Proof of Delivery Software is a useful place to compare POD options across the category. Choose Pocpod instead if a defined small-team allowance matters: its free Basic plan supports one user and ten jobs per month, with reports, portal access and basic support; its Premium plan costs 20.00 GBP per month.

SmartCourier may suit a small operation that wants a free one-month Starter plan with up to three runners, one branch, GPS tracking, photo evidence and API access. Consider InfoTech Proof of Delivery App if the operation already uses InfoTech weighbridge software and a POD licence, which its free app requires.

SimplyDepo is a paid alternative with team tiers for one to 49 representatives and a free trial. Civica Complaints Management is another paid option, with pricing provided by enquiry. DQT Proof of Delivery is a paid Android, API, iOS and web option. PODStar is paid and offers quotes on request, without published plan limits. Aptean Industrial Manufacturing ERP Traverse Edition is a paid Android, iOS, web and Windows option with a free trial and pricing on request.

Verdict

Maxmove Digital POD is a sound choice for fleet and courier businesses that want flexible evidence capture connected to orders and downstream systems, especially if they are already evaluating Maxmove TMS. Its included free entry tier and app-free link capture lower the barrier to use; look elsewhere if you need an independent POD subscription with explicit seat and quota terms, or if your API workflows exceed its route and item limits.
