Overview

PushFar combines mentoring software for organisations with a free network for people seeking or offering mentorship. It is a strong fit for organisations that want to shape and administer structured programs; its individual network gives people a no-cost way to make mentoring connections.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, PushFar serves businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations, particularly HR and learning and development teams. It sits within Mentoring Software, while organisations assessing workforce-development tools may also consider Talent Marketplace Software.

Key features

Program design and matching

Administrators can customise branding, participant questions, approvals, settings and matching rules. Matching can be AI-assisted, handled by administrators or left to participant choice. That range supports programs with different levels of structure, though teams wanting a single fixed approach may not need the additional control. Program templates and matching workflows provide repeatable ways to organise a program.

Participant tools and reporting

Participants can set goals, schedule meetings, send private messages and use built-in video calling. Reporting covers activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, giving program owners a way to follow participation and outcomes across these areas.

Integrations, security and scale

PushFar documents SSO, calendar syncing, and Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrations; other systems such as Workday can be connected through an account manager. It describes GDPR controls, role-based access and two-factor authentication for the administration panel. Organisations can bring participants in through registration links, SSO, CSV files or APIs, and centrally manage cohorts. The maker says programs can scale from 50 to 50,000 people, but the organisational service requires a demo and account-based support rather than a self-serve setup.

Pricing

PushFar uses a freemium model. The Open mentoring network plan is free and lets individuals find a mentor, become a mentor, or do both. It is the clear choice for people seeking personal mentoring connections, but it is not the organisational program-management offering.

The Organisational mentoring platform has custom pricing, with a demo required. It includes the configurable program administration, reporting and organisational support suited to businesses and institutions running formal initiatives. The trade-off is that buyers must request pricing and arrange a demo rather than compare a published price or begin through a self-serve paid plan.

Platforms

PushFar is available on web, iOS and Android, with API support. Mobile apps extend participant access beyond the web, while API support can serve organisations incorporating participant data into their processes.

Who it's for

PushFar is best suited to HR and learning and development teams, educational institutions and professional organisations that need configurable matching, cohort administration and reporting. Its free network also suits individuals who want to find or offer mentoring without purchasing an organisational platform. It is less compelling for buyers who need straightforward, published organisational pricing before engaging with a vendor.

Pros and cons

Pros

Three matching routes—AI assistance, administrator decisions and participant self-selection—let program owners balance control with participant choice.
Goals, meeting scheduling, messaging and video calling keep core mentoring activity in one participant toolkit.
Reporting spans activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, supporting oversight across multiple aspects of a program.
SSO, calendar and video-conferencing integrations, plus CSV, API and registration-link invitations, give organisations several ways to connect and populate programs.
A free network lets individuals participate without buying the organisational platform.

Cons

Organisations must request custom pricing and arrange a demo, which makes initial cost comparison less direct.
The free plan is for individuals; organisations seeking configurable program management need the custom-priced platform.

Alternatives

Choose Mentessa if a paid talent-development platform with a published monthly starting point suits your team: its Connect Standard plan costs 292.00 EUR per month, billed monthly, for up to 100 active participants, with larger teams on request and a 15% discount for annual payment. It has no free plan, though a free trial is available.

MentorCity is another freemium option available on web and mobile, with API support; consider it if you want to compare another mentoring platform with a free plan.

Consider Mentorloop if its Pro plan fits your needs: it starts at 299.00 USD per month for a simple mentoring program and is designed for nonprofits and community groups. It offers a free plan and web and mobile access.

Qooper is a paid alternative with custom pricing based on program scope, participant volume and organisational requirements, available on web and mobile.

Together is a paid option with custom solutions priced around learner numbers, match types and program goals; it charges for actively matched participating users and includes implementation and support.

Affirmity Employment Law Navigator is another paid platform with pricing by request.

Chronus is a paid web and mobile option with API support and no free plan; its Unleash Performance plan supports up to 1,000 licenses and unlimited programs.

MentorcliQ is a paid web and mobile alternative with API support and no free plan. Its CliQ Start plan begins at 9900.00 USD per year for 100 employees per year.

Verdict

Choose PushFar if you are an organisation that needs configurable mentoring programs, multiple matching approaches and broad activity reporting, or an individual looking for free mentoring connections. Its main drawback for organisational buyers is the custom-price, demo-led purchasing route; look elsewhere if a published price is essential before starting a conversation.
