Overview

Mockplus combines wireframing, interactive prototyping, interface refinement, and developer handoff in a product design platform. It suits teams that want to move early concepts into review and implementation workflows, though its separate RP, DT, and Cloud plans make it important to match the subscription to the work you actually need.

Mockplus RP is aimed at designers, product managers, and other people exploring early ideas; Mockplus DT targets designers refining interface details. Mockplus Cloud brings review and developer handoff tools together. The maker is headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Teams comparing categories can also browse UI design tools, Wireframing Software, Prototyping Software, Design Collaboration Software, and Developer Handoff Software.

Key features

Wireframing and prototypes

RP supports wireframes and interactive prototypes with drag-and-drop interactions, gestures, and animations. That makes it relevant for teams shaping and communicating ideas before implementation. The free RP plan caps work at three prototypes, ten pages per prototype, 10M Axure file import, and seven-day revision history; growing projects may need a paid tier for the uncapped prototype, page, import, and history limits.

Review and developer handoff

Cloud provides design specifications, asset downloads, CSS snippets, comments, and review workflows for handing designs to developers. Its Sketch, Photoshop, Adobe XD, Figma, and Axure plugins or import options can help teams bring work from those tools into the Cloud workflow. Unlimited guests on Cloud Basic and Cloud Pro support sharing beyond paid seats, but the free plan still caps active projects and has just one admin.

Offline preview, systems, and security

Mockplus Classic can export prototypes as interactive HTML for online or offline use and preview them on iPhone, iPad, or Android devices. The platform also lists design systems, real-time collaboration, and variables and tokens among its capabilities. Mockplus says it uses encryption in transit, encryption at rest for private-cloud customers, pseudonymization, and least-privilege controls. Its service is hosted and operated in China, and personal data may be transferred to and processed in China and possibly other countries; Mockplus advises against putting live end-customer or sensitive personal data into designs, prototypes, or uploaded documents. That guidance matters for teams with strict data-handling requirements.

Pricing

Mockplus offers free plans alongside paid subscriptions. The headline starting price is $5.95/user/mo (annual), while Cloud, DT, and RP also have distinct plan structures and prices.

Basic: 0.00 USD per free, Free Forever; 10 users, 10 active projects, unlimited designs, three project folders, and one admin. A useful no-cost starting point, but its project, folder, and admin limits constrain larger teams.
Pro: 5.95 USD per month, billed annually, with a three-user minimum; unlimited active projects, designs, folders, and admins. It removes the Basic project and administration caps, but requires at least three seats.
Enterprise: custom pricing for teams of all sizes, with custom features, internal-server deployment, SSO, and priority support. This is the relevant tier for organizations requiring those controls rather than a standard hosted setup.
Mockplus Cloud Basic: 0.00 USD per free, Free Forever; up to 10 users, unlimited guests, 10 active projects, three project folders, and one admin.
Mockplus Cloud Pro: 2.48 USD per month per user, billed annually; the page also shows $4.95. It starts with three users and includes unlimited guests, projects, designs, folders, and admins. The three-user starting point and differing displayed amounts merit checking before purchase.
Mockplus RP Free: 0.00 USD per free, with no time limit; three prototypes, 10 pages per prototype, 10M Axure file import, and seven-day revision history.
Mockplus RP Annual: 49.50 USD per year, billed annually; the page also shows $99. It includes unlimited prototypes, pages, revision history, and Axure file import.
Mockplus RP Perpetual: 249.50 USD per once, one-off payment with no extra fees; the page also shows $499. It includes unlimited prototypes, pages, revision history, and lifetime free updates. The one-time purchase avoids recurring fees, unlike the annual plan.
Mockplus DT Free: 0.00 USD per free, with no time limit; up to 10 users, unlimited personal projects, three collaborative projects, three pages per project, and Sketch/Figma import.
Mockplus DT Premier: 3.29 USD per month per user, billed annually; the page also shows $6.58. It includes unlimited collaborative projects, pages, version histories, and free guests.
Mockplus Cloud Enterprise and Mockplus DT Enterprise: custom pricing, with custom features, server deployment, SSO, and priority support. Cloud Enterprise specifies internal-server deployment; DT Enterprise specifies own-server deployment.

The maker says Mockplus provides technical support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A free trial is also offered.

Platforms

Mockplus is available on Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. The desktop app gives teams a non-browser option, while web access supports browser-based use across the listed platforms.

Who it's for

Mockplus is a fit for teams that need to prototype, review, and hand designs to developers in a connected workflow. RP's free caps can suit small experiments; DT Free gives a limited collaborative-project allowance alongside unlimited personal projects. Teams with larger workloads can consider the paid project and page limits, while organizations needing internal hosting or SSO have Enterprise options. It is a weaker fit for teams that cannot accept the stated China data processing or the caution against placing sensitive data in designs and uploads.

Pros and cons

Pro: RP supports gesture- and animation-based interactive prototypes, not just static wireframes, helping teams communicate behavior in early concepts.
Pro: Cloud combines specs, assets, CSS snippets, comments, and reviews, reducing the gap between design approval and developer handoff.
Pro: Cloud plans include unlimited guests, and paid Pro expands projects, designs, folders, and admins without listed caps.
Pro: RP offers both annual and one-time paid options, with the perpetual plan including lifetime free updates.
Con: Free RP is limited to three prototypes and seven-day revision history, so sustained or larger prototype work can require upgrading.
Con: The standard Pro and Cloud Pro plans start with three users, which may be more than a solo buyer needs.
Con: Personal data may be processed in China and other countries, and Mockplus advises against including sensitive personal data in work.
Con: Cloud Pro and several RP and DT pages show another amount alongside the stated price, so buyers should confirm the applicable charge before committing.

Alternatives

Choose UXPin if its free plan after the 14-day trial, with two prototypes and 50 AI credits, better matches a limited post-trial need. Pixso is another freemium option, with a free plan covering unlimited viewer seats and draft files plus three design files and three whiteboard files. Consider Marvel if one user and one project on its free plan are enough, or its Pro tier at 12.00 USD per month billed yearly for one user and unlimited projects. Penpot is an alternative freemium platform. Figma Dev Mode is another option for teams considering a free Starter tier with limited access to Figma products and unlimited drafts. Justinmind has a free plan with one project, unlimited screens and viewers, and UI design and wireframing. zeroheight is an alternative freemium option. ProtoPie offers a free tier with two cloud-saved prototypes, eight scenes per prototype, and 50MB of cloud storage. For more options by use case, see Game UI Design Software.

Verdict

Mockplus is best for design teams and product collaborators who want interactive prototyping connected to review and developer handoff, with a range of free and paid paths. Its strongest reason to choose it is the combination of RP prototyping and Cloud handoff tools; its clearest reason to look elsewhere is the data-location guidance, especially for teams handling sensitive customer information.
