Overview

Nano LMS brings course authoring, learner support, assessments, and reporting together for employee onboarding, sales and customer conversations, compliance and policy training, leadership development, and education for customers and partners. Key features

Course creation and lesson formats

Nano can build courses from free web content, AI-generated modules, and users’ own files. It supports roleplay-, slide-, video-, document-, and interactive lessons, as well as SCORM-ready content. That breadth lets teams combine existing materials with different teaching approaches instead of relying on a single course format.

Practice, guidance, and measurement

Interactive AI roleplay is designed to let learners rehearse real-world training situations, while an instant AI assistant provides guidance. Assessments and certifications give teams ways to check and recognize learning; ROI reporting supports evaluation of training outcomes. Analytics and the ROI dashboard are included in Starter, not Free, so teams that need reporting must budget for the paid tier.

Integrations and enterprise controls

The home page names Microsoft Teams and Google Drive, while Starter includes Slack and Teams integration. Enterprise adds SSO, HRIS sync, a white-label academy, dedicated customer success management, a stated 99.9% SLA, and an on-premises or private cloud option. These controls make Enterprise the more relevant choice for organizations with deployment or identity requirements beyond a small team’s needs.

Pricing

Nano LMS uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a paid Starter tier. The free option is genuinely usable for a small pilot, but its caps on learners, trainers, credits, and courses—and the exclusion of analytics, custom domains, and integrations—limit its role as a production platform.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	Free (billed $0 / forever)	1 trainer, up to 10 learners, 100 AI credits/month, 3 courses, basic quizzes and certifications.
Starter	80.00 USD per month (billed $80 / month)	2 trainers, 50 learners, 2,000 AI credits/month, 15 courses, custom domain, analytics and ROI dashboard, Slack and Teams integration.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Custom trainers, learners, and AI credit pool; SSO and HRIS; white-label academy; dedicated CSM and 99.9% SLA; on-premises or private cloud option.

Starter is the practical step up for teams that need a custom domain, integrations, analytics, or room for more than 10 learners, but its 50-learner and two-trainer limits still define its scale. Larger organizations can seek a tailored Enterprise quote for custom capacity and deployment options.

The pricing page says 100 AI credits can build three full courses or run 100 minutes of AI roleplay, so the free allowance supports either modest course creation or a limited amount of roleplay practice. Purchased credits never expire.

Platforms

Nano LMS is available as a web product and as self-hosted software. Its platform options suit organizations choosing between browser-based access and hosting under their own control.

Who it's for

Nano LMS is a good fit for organizations that need to create workplace training from mixed source material and want learners to practice through AI roleplay. Its range of lesson types and support for onboarding, compliance, sales, leadership, and customer education make it flexible across training programs. Free is best for a small pilot of up to 10 learners; teams needing more capacity, reporting, or integrations should consider Starter, while organizations with custom scale or hosting requirements should seek Enterprise pricing.

It is less suitable for a team that needs more than 50 learners or two trainers on a fixed-price plan, or one that requires analytics and integrations without moving beyond Free. Enterprise may meet broader requirements, but it requires a custom quote.

Pros and cons

Pros: Courses can draw on web content, AI-generated modules, and user files, with lesson formats spanning roleplay, video, documents, slides, interactive lessons, and SCORM-ready content.
Pros: AI roleplay, instant assistant guidance, assessments, and certifications support practice as well as course delivery.
Pros: Free includes one trainer, three courses, and up to 10 learners, giving small teams a way to start without a subscription fee.
Cons: Free excludes analytics, a custom domain, and integrations, and its 100 monthly AI credits and 10-learner limit constrain larger or more measurement-focused programs.
Cons: Starter costs 80.00 USD per month and tops out at 50 learners and two trainers, leaving larger teams to request custom Enterprise pricing.
