Overview

Packy combines destination planning with practical trip administration. You can build an itinerary in a map view, attach flights, hotels, tickets, passes and other bookings, then export the schedule to Google Calendar or Outlook. Collaboration is real-time: invite friends or family, plan together and share the resulting itinerary.

The service also accepts inspiration from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and screenshots, which is useful when ideas begin as scattered social posts rather than a finished route. Packy describes the planner as completely ad-free. AI-generated plans remain subject to the usual accuracy risk: the company disclaims responsibility for hallucinations, misinterpretations and other inaccuracies, so reservations and timing still need human checking.

Key features

Planning and maps

Map view gives a geographic frame to the itinerary, while booking links connect planning with the places and services a traveler may need to reserve. Calendar export is a practical fit for people who manage daily commitments in Google Calendar or Outlook instead of returning to a separate travel app.

Group coordination

Shared, real-time editing and itinerary sharing make Packy more suitable for family holidays and friend trips than a private notes app. Everyone can work from the same plan rather than circulating revisions.

Booking storage and content capture

Keeping transport, accommodation and admission records beside the schedule reduces the need to search email for each confirmation. Importing links and screenshots from social platforms helps convert research into trip components, although AI output should not be treated as authoritative.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it means
Free	Free	One destination, three trip days and one traveler.
Packy AI Weekly Subscription	Custom pricing	Premium subscription access.
Packy AI Monthly Subscription	Custom pricing	Premium subscription access.
Packy AI Yearly Subscription	Custom pricing	Premium subscription access.
Packy Pro Monthly	Custom pricing	Seven-day trial; subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the billing period ends.
Packy Pro Annual	Custom pricing	Seven-day trial with the same automatic-renewal cutoff.
Packy Pro Weekly	Custom pricing	Seven-day trial with the same automatic-renewal cutoff.

The free plan is appropriate for testing the workflow or planning a compact, three-day visit. Its one-destination, one-traveler cap rules it out for multi-city routes, longer holidays and group planning unless you upgrade. Paid tiers provide premium access, but prospective subscribers cannot compare costs from the published prices. Starting a subscription during the trial ends the remaining trial period. Refunds are generally limited to unused time when service cannot continue or when management approves one.

Platforms

Packy runs on the web, iOS and Android, with a mobile app for both major mobile ecosystems. The App Store listing supports iPhone and iPad; it is designed for iPad and is not verified for macOS, so Mac users should rely on the web version rather than assume a native desktop app.

Who it's for

Choose Packy if you want one shared itinerary for bookings, inspiration and calendar commitments, especially when several travelers need to edit the same plan. It is also a sensible no-cost starting point for a short solo trip. Look elsewhere if your normal journeys exceed three days, include multiple destinations or require a clearly priced subscription before you commit.

Pros and cons

Pros

Unified trip record: bookings, itinerary items and calendar exports sit together instead of across separate tools.
Useful group workflow: real-time invitations and shared itineraries support collaborative planning.
Broad capture options: social links and screenshots can be turned into trip ideas.
Ad-free presentation: Packy positions the planner without advertising distractions.

Cons

Very small free allowance: one destination, three days and one traveler is insufficient for most group or multi-stop trips.
Unclear paid cost: weekly, monthly and annual premium plans use custom pricing, making budget comparison difficult.
Renewal needs attention: subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled 24 hours before the period ends.
AI needs verification: the company disclaims liability for inaccurate or misinterpreted generated content.

Alternatives

Waiz is the better fit when unlimited trips and itineraries, live group sync and shareable links matter on a free plan. Traveln.ai offers a free pilot across Android, iOS and web with no credit card required. Yanvara suits travelers who want one saved trip, one AI generation per month, packing help, view-only sharing and PDF export at no charge. Layla is an alternative for users who prefer an unlimited-access premium option or a model where they pay for travel they book. TripBuddy is the clearest choice for completely free planning with every trip, day and crew size included. Navly combines AI planning and map context on iOS and macOS, with a non-renewing 24-hour day pass for 2.99 USD. Stippl is aimed at unlimited trips, destinations, co-planners, expenses and journal entries, with AI generation, PDF export and calendar sync. SMOVECITY provides free planning and routing with an AI Buddy on Android and iOS.

Verdict

Packy AI is best for travelers who value a polished, shared itinerary that also stores reservations and exports to a calendar. Its ad-free, cross-platform approach is compelling for short trips and small groups. Choose another planner if you need generous free trip limits, transparent subscription prices or a native Mac app.
