Overview

Pin is an AI recruiting platform that carries candidate sourcing through interview scheduling. It is a strong fit for recruiters, agencies, founders, and hiring teams that want those steps connected to an ATS; teams seeking only one narrow recruiting task may find its breadth unnecessary.

Its appeal is the combination of a large aggregated candidate pool, AI-assisted matching, outreach, and scheduling. The free tier is tightly limited for regular searches, while the first paid tier requires annual billing per user.

Key features

Search and matching

Pin says it searches more than 850 million profiles across multiple data providers. Natural-language searches rank candidates by skills, experience, and fit, with AI-written reasoning to help recruiters assess why a person surfaced. That can speed up discovery, but the ranking is an aid rather than a substitute for hiring judgment.

Outreach and scheduling

Personalized, multi-channel sequences and a unified inbox keep candidate replies alongside outreach. Pin also coordinates availability and books interviews automatically, making it more useful for teams that want to move beyond finding prospects into managing the next steps.

Connections and controls

Pin says it integrates with more than 120 ATS platforms, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Bullhorn, iCIMS, and Jobvite. Its Chrome extension imports profiles from LinkedIn and the web. A hosted MCP server connects Pin with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, and other MCP-compatible clients.

Pin says customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit, its controls are SOC 2 Type 2 audited, and customer searches are not used to train models. Those are relevant assurances for teams handling candidate information.

Pricing

Pin uses a freemium model and offers a free trial. The Free plan is free, billed free forever. It includes five contact lookup credits per week, one job position, one AI Agent, and email-only sequences. That is enough to explore a limited workflow, but the weekly lookup cap and single position make it a poor fit for ongoing or multiple searches.

Solo costs 99.00 USD per month per user, billed annually only on annual billing. It adds a single seat, unlimited job positions, 500 contact lookup credits, two AI Agents, and multi-channel sequences. It suits an individual recruiter who needs more than email outreach, but its annual term and per-user billing matter if hiring needs are seasonal or the team is growing.

Professional costs 135179.00 USD per month per user, billed annually. It includes two AI Agents per user, 1,000 credits per seat per month, team collaboration and a shared inbox, multi-channel sequences, and advanced agent sourcing. The higher credit allowance and collaboration tools better suit team workflows, though per-seat pricing means costs rise with headcount.

Business has custom pricing for your team. It offers unlimited seats, unlimited contact lookup credits, unlimited AI Agents, premium ATS integrations, and a dedicated account manager. It is aimed at larger teams that need capacity beyond the per-seat plans, but the custom price calls for a direct cost comparison against hiring volume.

Plan support features include email support, onboarding and training, and a dedicated account manager.

Platforms

Pin is available on the web and through a browser extension, with an API platform. The Chrome extension supports importing profiles from LinkedIn and the web; the hosted MCP server extends connections to compatible AI clients.

Who it's for

Pin is best suited to recruiters and agencies running active searches, or founders and hiring teams that want sourcing, candidate contact, and interview booking connected to their ATS. Its free plan can serve as a small-scale starting point. Teams with high lookup needs should compare the cost of paid seats and annual commitments with their expected search volume.

Pros and cons

Pros: Search, matching, outreach, and scheduling share one workflow, reducing the need to manage each stage in a separate tool.
Pros: More than 120 ATS integrations and profile importing from LinkedIn and the web support connection to existing recruiting processes.
Pros: The free plan has no stated end date, so a team can explore the product without a recurring fee.
Cons: Five weekly lookup credits and one job position on Free sharply limit its usefulness for active hiring.
Cons: Solo requires annual billing, and paid plans charge per user, which can be a poor match for variable hiring volume.
Cons: Professional's stated price is substantially higher than Solo, so teams should weigh its collaboration and sourcing additions against their actual needs.

Alternatives

For a free option centered on job-description analysis and AI recruiting modules, consider HireMIQ, whose free tier includes five JD analyses per month, Boolean search, candidate scoring, outreach templates, and assessments.

Sprad is worth considering when a free ATS is the priority: ATS Core includes a career site, pipeline and candidate management, team roles and analytics, and an MCP/AI connection.

Choose Metaview if its profile-sourcing plans better fit your needs: Pro is 100.00 USD per month per user, billed monthly, with 200 profiles sourced per month and unlimited concurrent searches.

Avery may suit teams focused on European sourcing; its free plan searches more than 125 million vetted European profiles and provides ranked matches with explanations and a market view, without outreach or contact details.

Hirin is another recruiting platform to compare.

Talview offers tailored, unit-based pricing, with a typical minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates; consider it when that model matches your hiring volume.

Screened may be a better fit for teams seeking resume screening: its Resumes plan is 66.00 USD per month billed annually, with month-to-month billing at $99/month, up to five jobs, 1,000 candidates per month, and up to three team members.

CandiSift is a free, open-source, self-hosted alternative; LLM processing can still incur per-token costs.

Verdict

Pin is a compelling choice for recruiters and hiring teams that want candidate discovery, contact, and interview coordination in one ATS-connected platform. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; the constrained free tier and annual, per-user paid billing are the reasons to look elsewhere if searches are occasional or budgets need flexibility.
