Overview

Plann brings strategy, calendar management and post production into one service delivered through web, Android and iOS apps. Its drag-and-drop grid places planned items beside published posts, so users can judge the sequence and appearance of a feed before anything is published. Automatic publishing, AI-assisted writing and basic analytics make it a broader choice than a simple posting queue, while the wider toolkit may be unnecessary for someone who only needs occasional scheduling.

The service is intended for growing brands, bloggers, business owners, creatives and entrepreneurs. Plann says it was created in Sydney and now has a workforce spanning 10 countries. A Help Center covers setup, scheduling, billing, support and policy topics, and its help resources include GDPR and data-management guidance. Its terms identify Linktree Pty Ltd as the provider and do not promise uninterrupted or fully secure operation, so organisations with strict availability requirements should review those terms carefully.

Key features

Visual planning and creation

The grid preview is Plann's most distinctive practical benefit: it lets a user adjust a sequence while seeing how upcoming posts will sit with existing ones. AI caption generation and content repurposing can reduce the effort of adapting ideas, while daily post suggestions help fill an editorial calendar. Royalty-free stock images and videos plus built-in image editing keep more of the preparation process in one place.

Canva integration and access to more than 450,000 templates broaden the design workflow. These tools are particularly useful for people producing branded graphics repeatedly; they matter less to teams that already have a separate, established creative process.

Publishing and collaboration

Plann supports planning and posting for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts. That six-network coverage makes the first paid tier a substantial step up from the free plan. Paid plans add team chat, approval flows and shareable links, giving reviewers a way to organise sign-off rather than passing files between services. Advanced insights and analytics appear only on the top tier, while the product's overall analytics depth is basic.

Instagram connections must be Business or Creator accounts. Personal Instagram accounts are unsupported because of Meta API limitations, which rules out Plann for users who need to schedule from a personal profile.

Pricing

Plann uses a freemium model, with a seven-day premium trial that does not require a credit card. The Free plan costs $0.00 USD per user, is free forever, and allows one user and one brand. It includes 30 monthly AI credits, 30 posts, stories and carousels per month, five video posts per month, and Instagram scheduling only. This is suitable for a small Instagram presence, but the monthly quotas and single-network restriction make it a poor fit for broader publishing.

Power User costs $12.50 USD per month, billed monthly and paid annually. It supports one user and one brand, with unlimited media uploads and scheduled posts across all six supported networks. It is the logical entry point for an individual managing multi-channel content, but it does not include the team chat and approval workflows offered higher up.

Build costs $25.00 USD per month, billed monthly and paid annually. It raises capacity to two users and two brands while retaining unlimited uploads and scheduled posts, and adds team chat and approval flows. Choose it when collaborative review is part of the routine rather than an occasional need.

Grow costs $62.50 USD per month, billed monthly and paid annually. It covers four users and five brands, unlimited uploads and scheduled posts, plus advanced insights and analytics. This tier is aimed at organisations managing several accounts that need deeper performance reporting; smaller operators are likely to pay for capacity they do not use.

Platforms

Plann runs on the web and has Android and iOS apps. Scheduling and posting cover Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts, subject to the Instagram account requirement above.

Who it's for

Choose Plann if visual feed planning, in-workspace content creation and multi-network publishing belong in the same workflow. Power User fits a solo operator with several channels; Build is the better match for a small team needing approvals; Grow is for multi-brand work where advanced analytics justify the price. The Free plan is best treated as a capped Instagram starter. Look elsewhere if you need personal Instagram scheduling, a deeper analytics product at entry level, or only a minimal queue.

Pros and cons

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, see AI Social Media Management Software and Social Media Management Tools.

Buffer is a better starting point when a free plan supporting up to three channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel is enough.
Later suits users who prefer a visual calendar and are willing to move to a paid yearly Starter plan.
Agorapulse is worth considering for a free allowance of three social profiles, one user and 10 scheduled posts.
Pallyy fits users seeking a free plan with one social set, up to 11 accounts, one team user and 15 monthly posts.
Postmill AI is an alternative social publishing service.
Hookpost is an alternative social publishing service.
Marketeer is an alternative campaign platform.
Pixipie is an alternative social-media platform.

Verdict

Plann is a strong choice for a creator, brand or small team that wants visual feed control, built-in content assistance and scheduling across six networks. Its main reason to choose it is the unified planning-and-creation workflow; its main reason to look elsewhere is the cost of collaboration and advanced analytics, combined with the inability to schedule personal Instagram accounts.
