Overview

Tableview covers the service flow from taking an order through kitchen preparation and payment. Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders share table assignment, bill splitting, and live floor plans, so front-of-house staff can manage changing service conditions without switching systems. That breadth is more useful to a full-service operation than to a business that only needs a basic till.

It runs on Android, iOS, and the web. Offline order entry and receipt printing continue during a connection loss, with synchronization after reconnection. This protects service continuity, although operators should have procedures for longer outages and later data reconciliation.

Key features

Service and kitchen operations

Orders can route to kitchen displays by priority and across multiple stations. Busy kitchens benefit from separate queues for different stations and urgent tickets, while smaller venues may not need that level of routing. Table assignment, bill splitting, and real-time floor plans are practical tools for table-service teams handling frequent changes during a shift.

Inventory and financial control

Multi-location stock tracking, low-stock alerts, recipe costing, and waste analysis connect purchasing decisions to menu economics. These controls are particularly valuable when several sites share recipes or need consistent reporting; a single small outlet may find the wider system more than it needs. A centralized dashboard manages menus, staff, and reporting across locations, and multi-location management is included without an added charge on the home page.

Payments, integrations, and security

Tableview works with Stripe Terminal card readers and supports exports to Xero and QuickBooks. Data is protected with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest, while payment card data is tokenized at entry. The platform states PCI DSS Level 1, GDPR, and CCPA compliance, and describes its cloud infrastructure as SOC 2 Type II certified. Those assurances matter to operators handling payment and customer data across multiple sites.

Support

Starter provides business-hours email support with a first response under 24 hours. Pro adds chat and phone support with a response under four hours. Enterprise includes 24/7 support and a response under one hour, a meaningful distinction for groups that cannot wait for the next business day.

Pricing

There is no free plan, but a free trial is offered. The home page promotes the first three months free on Starter or Pro, with no setup fees and no long-term contract.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Starter	69.00 USD per month, billed $69/mo, per location	Two registers included; each additional register costs $49. Business-hours email support, response under 24 hours.
Pro	189.00 USD per month, billed $189/mo, per location	Unlimited registers. Email, chat, and phone support, response under four hours.
Enterprise	Custom pricing, quoted per portfolio, annual contract	Unlimited registers per portfolio, 24/7 support, response under one hour.

Starter is aimed at small cafés, food trucks, and single outlets; its register allowance keeps the entry price clear but makes expansion a direct extra cost. Pro is better for busy restaurants, bars, and independent hotels where unlimited registers and faster, broader support justify the higher per-location fee. Enterprise fits chains, franchises, and hotel groups that need portfolio-level commercial terms; the annual contract is less flexible than the lower tiers.

Platforms

Tableview supports Android, iOS, and web access, allowing venue teams to use mobile devices alongside browser-based administration.

Who it's for

Choose Tableview when one operating view for orders, stock, payments, kitchen routing, and several locations is more important than a free entry plan. Starter suits smaller venues with up to two included registers; Pro suits higher-volume sites; Enterprise is for portfolios that require unlimited registers and round-the-clock support. It is less suitable for operators seeking a free POS or a narrowly focused procurement tool.

Pros and cons

Pro: Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery workflows share tables, bills, and floor plans.
Pro: Multi-location stock, menus, staff, and reporting are managed centrally, with multi-location management included for free.
Pro: Offline ordering and receipt printing reduce disruption during connectivity problems.
Pro: Priority and multi-station kitchen routing supports complex service operations.
Con: There is no free plan, so even small operators begin with a paid commitment after the trial.
Con: Starter includes only two registers and charges $49 for each additional one.
Con: Enterprise requires custom pricing and an annual contract, limiting price transparency and flexibility.

Alternatives

For procurement-focused comparisons, see Restaurant Procurement Software and Food Truck POS Software.

growyze is a paid platform with a free plan, free trial, and Android, iOS, and web apps; pick it when stocktaking, supplier orders, recipes, and waste controls are the priority and a no-cost starting tier matters.
OnePe Supplier Management offers a free plan and web access; choose it for supplier and menu management when you need a freemium route rather than a full restaurant POS.
Kitchen CUT is a paid, trial-based platform on Android, iOS, web, and API, with a £75-per-month single-site Lite plan; consider it when recipe, menu, and sub-recipe limits match a smaller operation.
PurchaseFlow offers an application-based programme with the first two sites free for 12 months; it is worth considering for early-stage operators with one to four sites seeking purchasing software without an initial platform charge.
Tradogram starts at $99 per month for Essentials with additional user fees; choose it when procurement is central and per-user purchasing is acceptable.
FOOD-TRAK is a paid platform available on Android, iOS, web, and Windows.
Craftable is a paid platform for Android, iOS, and web.
LineNow has a $100 monthly Core plan per active business unit with unlimited team members and purchase orders; consider it when that unit-based purchasing model fits better than a per-location POS.

Verdict

Tableview is a strong choice for restaurants and groups that need one system for service, inventory, payments, and kitchen execution, especially across multiple locations. Its main reason to look elsewhere is the absence of a free plan and the extra register cost on Starter; budget-led operators or procurement-only teams may find a narrower alternative easier to justify.
