Overview

The optimizer identifies missing or counterproductive elements in a press release and recommends changes. It requires no email signup, so a solo communicator can try it without committing to a broader PR platform. That low-friction access is its clearest advantage; the trade-off is that the check stops at the text.

Prezly’s wider platform addresses a different part of the problem. Its drag-and-drop story editor structures releases with machine-readable markup, and it publishes media-rich pages to a branded newsroom. Those pages are described as public, fast, crawlable and easy for AI to index and cite. This makes the optimizer most relevant as an entry point to a publishing workflow, not as a stand-alone guarantee of discoverability.

Key features

Text guidance and publishing structure

The optimizer suggests edits intended to help AI systems quote and cite a release. That can help writers make the content clearer, but the tool does not assess schema, hosting or indexing. Teams that need control over the published page would need the wider platform rather than relying on the text check alone.

Newsroom and language support

Prezly publishes releases as searchable pages in a branded newsroom that can remain live between campaigns. Releases can be published in more than 60 languages, and templates are supported. This suits teams maintaining a continuing press presence across markets; it is more platform than a writer needs for a one-off text review.

Integrations, monitoring and security

Website connections include RSS and JSON feeds, an API, custom themes and a headless CMS pattern using API and webhooks. Coverage integrations include Google Alerts, BelgaPress, RSS feeds, Auxipress/Talkwalker and built-in media monitoring. Personal API tokens can be restricted to selected permissions, set to expire after 30 days, 90 days or one year, and revoked by the user. These controls and connection options are useful to teams fitting the platform into established systems, though they are not necessary to use the free optimizer.

Prezly says customers receive replies from a real person when they contact support, and standard support is included on all plans. The company says it has been building its software since 2010.

Pricing

The AI Press Release Optimizer is free. It is 100% free to use and requires no email signup, making it the straightforward choice for anyone who only needs text suggestions. A free plan and a 14-day trial are also indicated for the broader offering, but their terms are not detailed here.

Prezly’s platform plans have custom pricing. Essential includes 1 site, 1 user and 5,000 contacts; its single seat and site make it a fit for a solo communicator, but a small team needing shared access would outgrow it. Standard includes 1 site, 2 users and 10,000 contacts, giving a small in-house team one more seat and a larger contact allowance. Both plans list standard support.

Enterprise has custom pricing, billed per month and billed annually. It offers custom site and user limits, premium onboarding, 24/7 support, single sign-on and a 99% uptime SLA. Those terms are aimed at larger teams and agencies managing several brands or clients; buyers should weigh the annual billing against the need for those controls and service commitments.

Platforms

The optimizer is available on the web; Prezly also lists an API platform. Web access fits writers making a quick check, while API access is relevant to teams integrating Prezly into publishing workflows.

Who it's for

Choose the optimizer for an accessible text review before publication, particularly if no-signup access matters. PR teams that need a branded, searchable newsroom, multilingual publishing, integrations or team administration should consider Prezly’s wider platform. It is less suited to anyone expecting the optimizer itself to verify technical page structure or indexing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free use without email signup removes the usual account hurdle for a one-off check.
Pro: The wider platform combines machine-readable story structure with branded newsroom publishing, addressing parts of discoverability the text check cannot.
Pro: More than 60 languages and several integration patterns support international and connected PR workflows.
Con: The optimizer checks text only, so it cannot assess schema, hosting or indexing.
Con: Essential and Standard have fixed site, user and contact allowances, while the platform plans use custom pricing.

Alternatives

For a broader vendor search, browse Public Relations (PR) Software or AI Press Release Generators.

Choose PRgloo if you want a paid option with Android and iOS apps; its Basic plan is 3500.00 USD per year, billed per user, per year, and it offers a free trial.

Muck Rack is another option to consider for media monitoring and alerts, a media database and pitching, reporting and analytics, and self-led onboarding.

Consider Agility PR Solutions if social listening across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit is the priority; its listening plan tracks trends, engagement, sentiment and share of voice.

TVEyes Insight may suit teams focused on regional broadcast and radio, podcast and online video monitoring, with smart alerts and AI report summarization.

Choose Newswire for paid per-release distribution rather than a free text check. Its STARTER plan costs 399.00 USD per once, billed PER RELEASE, and includes Digital Journal and Online News & Media, estimated reach of 6–10 million monthly readers, unlimited words and images.

Propel is an alternative to consider for a PR workflow with monitoring alerts, contacts and pitches.

CARMA is an alternative to consider for online, print, broadcast and social media monitoring with automated coverage capture and analytics.

Cision is another paid web and iOS option.

Verdict

Prezly AI Press Release Optimizer is a sensible pick for communicators who want a free, no-signup text check and may benefit from a broader newsroom workflow. Its main reason to choose is the combination of accessible text guidance and a platform that can structure and publish releases. Look elsewhere if you need the optimizer itself to validate technical page setup, or if your priority is a different PR task such as distribution or media monitoring.
