Overview

PTE Tutorials is an exam-preparation platform for PTE Academic and IELTS, combining AI-guided practice, mobile study and live coaching. It suits candidates who want structured practice with feedback, especially those working on speaking and writing. The free tools are a useful starting point, but new practice-test purchases are unavailable during the stated upgrade.

Key features

The AI Tutor begins with a diagnostic assessment and creates a personalized seven-day curriculum, with progress tracking to help learners direct their study. It covers all 22 question types in the current PTE Academic format, including two speaking tasks introduced in August 2025. After each response, it returns task-level feedback, scores and explanations in real time. That makes it useful for identifying errors during independent practice, though candidates seeking a person to discuss persistent problems should consider coaching.

Practice tests include exam simulation, module timers, analytics, comparisons between attempts and score prediction. These features can help learners monitor their performance under timed conditions. However, new purchases tied to the existing practice-test system are unavailable while it is upgraded to a new AI-powered system, so candidates who need to buy mock tests now should not depend on this option.

The mobile app advertises unlimited free practice, expert tip videos and free practice questions. That is a practical way to fit short sessions into a study routine without paying for access to those materials. The four-week coaching program adds live interactive classes led by Pearson-certified PTE trainers. Classes run for one hour, five days a week; recordings remain accessible for six weeks. Classes may use Google Meet, and Chrome or Firefox is recommended. The schedule is intensive, so it is better suited to learners who can commit to frequent sessions than to those needing occasional guidance.

Pricing

PTE Tutorials uses a freemium model. The Free plan is free and includes free practice questions, model answers and mobile application access. It covers core independent practice, but does not include the 500 AI-scored speaking sample questions in Super AI.

Super AI has custom pricing and is valid for 15 days, with 500 AI-scored speaking sample questions. Its short validity makes it a focused option for candidates seeking a concentrated period of scored speaking practice rather than an ongoing study plan. The practice-test purchase pause is a separate limitation to consider when planning paid preparation.

Online coaching has a three-day refund policy subject to conditions; purchased practice materials are not refundable. The site also provides phone, WhatsApp and email contact options and says customer care is available 24/7.

Platforms

PTE Tutorials supports web, iOS and Android, so learners can use the platform on a browser or mobile device. The mobile app is particularly relevant for candidates who want to use its advertised free practice and tip videos away from a desk.

Who it's for

This is a sensible fit for PTE Academic candidates who want AI-scored practice, a short personalized study plan and mobile access, with live coaching available for a more structured routine. Users can choose PTE Academic or IELTS at signup and switch modules in their profile. Candidates who need to purchase practice tests immediately, or who prefer to work primarily with a live instructor, should weigh the current purchase pause and the coaching program's demanding schedule.

Pros and cons

Broad PTE Academic question coverage: the AI Tutor covers all 22 current question types, including the two speaking tasks introduced in August 2025.
Fast, actionable practice feedback: real-time scores, explanations and task-level feedback can help independent learners spot areas to revisit.
Free mobile starting point: the app advertises unlimited free practice, tip videos and free questions, alongside the Free plan's model answers and app access.
Practice-test buying is paused: learners who need to purchase tests tied to the existing system cannot rely on them during the upgrade.
Coaching requires frequent attendance: one-hour classes five days a week over four weeks may not suit candidates with limited time.
Refund protection is limited: coaching refunds are subject to a three-day policy and purchased practice materials are non-refundable.

Alternatives

For a broader selection of exam-preparation options, browse Exam prep apps or Language Test Prep Apps.

Gurully is another freemium PTE preparation option, with a seven-day Prime Membership listed at 9.00 USD per month billed 7 days; consider it if you want to compare a short paid access period. E2Language offers full-course packages with lessons, practice activities and live classes, with an Express+ option adding a teacher; it may suit candidates prioritizing a course-and-teacher format. LSAT Demon, GregMat, GMAT Official Prep, Medify, AceGCSE and OnePrep are alternatives for readers comparing other exam-preparation platforms.

Verdict

PTE Tutorials is best for PTE Academic or IELTS candidates who want to combine AI-scored practice and mobile study, with the option of scheduled coaching. Its strongest reason to choose it is the AI Tutor's broad PTE question coverage and immediate feedback; its clearest reason to look elsewhere is that new purchases tied to the existing practice-test system are unavailable during the upgrade.
