Overview

Ragic is a no-code database builder for teams that need custom business records and workflows. It is best suited to people who want spreadsheet-style building blocks but need linked data, permissions and reporting. Its main appeal is flexibility; the free plan’s tight caps and the paid plans’ per-user or concurrency terms call for careful sizing.

Ragic can be used as a hosted service or self-hosted on a customer’s own server. Compare No-Code Database Software, No-Code Development Platforms and No-code app builders if you are weighing the broader categories.

Key features

Custom data systems

Ragic’s spreadsheet-like interface lets teams build business databases without code, with relational data, an app interface builder, permission controls and workflow automation. That mix is useful when a team’s records and processes do not fit a fixed-purpose app. The maker describes uses ranging from contact management to ERP systems, but building a system still means taking responsibility for shaping it to the organization’s needs.

AI, search and reporting

Ragic AI can create a database from a natural-language description and generate records from uploaded files. Full-text search and filters help users find information, while role- and responsibility-based permissions can limit access. Reports include Gantt charts, pivot tables, calendars and ranking reports, giving teams several ways to view operational data without relying on a single report format.

Mobile access and integrations

The iOS and Android apps support cloud-synced editing and offline access to saved data, a useful combination for work away from a connection. Integrations include Zapier, IFTTT and Make; API documentation and JavaScript workflows offer additional routes for teams that need custom connections. Ragic also supports API access directly.

Security and deployment

Ragic states that it is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and follows GDPR. Its security materials describe SSL and disk encryption, audit logs, regular backups and daily full server backups. The company says its AWS and GCP hosting providers meet HIPAA standards and that business associate agreements are available when needed. Self-hosting is an option for organizations that want to run the service on their own server, though the choice between hosted and self-managed deployment will depend on operational requirements.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 3 custom sheets, 1,000 records per custom sheet, unlimited users and 10 GB upload storage. It is a useful way to start with a small database, but the form and record ceilings make it a poor fit for a system expected to grow substantially.

Lite costs 5.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes 5 custom sheets, unlimited records and 10 GB upload storage per user. It removes the free plan’s record cap but keeps a limit on custom sheets, making it a lower-cost fit for a focused system. Professional costs 19.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes unlimited custom sheets and records plus 30 GB upload storage per user; it is the more natural choice when a team needs several custom data areas and more storage per user.

The Concurrent users plan costs 499.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users. It includes unlimited users, 10 concurrent users and 100 GB upload storage per concurrent user, which may suit organizations where the number of simultaneous logins matters more than total accounts. Enterprise costs 550.00 USD per month, billed annually, with a 10-user minimum; it includes 10 concurrent users by default and 100 GB upload storage per user. Enterprise concurrent user costs 1399.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users, and includes unlimited users and 100 GB storage per concurrent user. These higher-tier terms make concurrency, headcount and billing period central to comparing costs.

Ragic offers a 30-day trial with all features of the selected version and no user limit during the trial. The free plan and paid plans therefore provide different ways to assess a small deployment or a larger configuration before committing.

Platforms

Ragic supports web, Android, iOS, API access and self-hosting. Offline mobile use is limited to saved data; the apps also support cloud-synced editing.

Who it's for

Ragic is a strong candidate for teams that want to shape their own business database, need relational records and permissions, and value configurable reports or mobile access. It is less compelling for groups that need only a small fixed-purpose tool, or for those who expect the free plan’s limited custom sheets and records to support a growing operation.

Pros and cons

Pros: Relational data, interface building, permissions and workflow automation support custom business systems without code.
Pros: Mobile apps combine cloud-synced editing with offline access to saved data.
Pros: Reporting covers Gantt charts, pivot tables, calendars and ranking reports, while integrations and API options support connections to other tools.
Cons: The free plan stops at 3 custom sheets and 1,000 records per sheet, limiting its use for larger or expanding systems.
Cons: Paid plans vary by sheets, storage, users, concurrency and billing term, so the headline monthly price alone does not show which tier fits.

Alternatives

Choose Retool instead if its free plan or Team plan fits your builder and internal-user needs; Team is 10.00 USD per month, with separate builder and internal-user rates. UI Bakery is another freemium option with web, self-hosted, Linux and Windows platforms, worth comparing when those deployment and operating-system options matter.

ToolJet has a free cloud tier capped at 2 builders, 50 end users and 2 apps, which may suit a small group evaluating those limits. Budibase is a freemium alternative with API, self-hosted and web platforms; compare it if those are the deployment modes you need.

Appsmith offers a free plan for up to 5 cloud users and supports web and self-hosted platforms, so it may be preferable when those constraints match your team. Baserow has a free plan capped at 3,000 rows per workspace and 2 GB storage per workspace, a different starting point for a bounded dataset.

Adalo is an alternative for teams considering an Android, iOS or web platform. Bubble is another option for web and mobile platforms.

Verdict

Choose Ragic if your team needs a configurable business database with relational data, permissions, reporting and the option to self-host. Its strongest case is the breadth of building and access features around custom records; look elsewhere if the free caps or the paid plans’ seat and concurrency structures do not match the scale and usage pattern you need.
