Overview

Rentberry serves both sides of a rental: tenants can find homes and manage parts of the application and tenancy process, while landlords and property professionals can list homes and handle tasks from screening requests to rent collection. Search spans more than 90 countries, and the service runs on the web, Android, and iOS. The mobile apps include custom-offer negotiations, maintenance requests, and e-signing.

Key features

Search, listings, and inquiries

Landlords can publish listings for free, add custom amenities, and use an AI generator to draft descriptions from their listing details. Listings expire after 30 days, which means owners must refresh them to keep a property visible. There is no stated cap on the number of properties, but businesses with over 100 properties are directed to contact Rentberry. Bulk uploads of more than 10 properties also require contacting customer service, a practical hurdle for larger portfolios.

US residents can pay for promotion and syndication to major rental platforms. Rentberry also supports inquiry management and showing scheduling, giving landlords a route from exposure to arranging a tour. Those who do not need paid promotion can still list without charge, but should not assume free listings include that wider distribution.

Applications and tenancy workflow

The platform brings together applications, tour requests, rent negotiation, lease e-signing, online payments, and maintenance requests. That breadth can reduce the number of separate services tenants and landlords need for routine rental steps. Screening is US-only: online credit reports are powered by TransUnion, and a separate paid option bundles credit and background reports. Landlords use Stripe to collect rent, and Stripe charges a payout fee that varies by the bank account's country, so collection is not cost-free in every case.

Rentberry's e-signing is backed by Dropbox Sign for legally binding rental documents. Its privacy policy says personal information is transmitted using SSL encryption, while also noting that no electronic storage or internet transmission method is completely secure. Customer support is available 24/7.

Pricing

The free plans cover useful core tasks, but several services carry separate charges rather than being included in a single paid tier. Rentberry has no free trial.

Tenants — Free: 0.00 USD per free, with rent negotiation, 24/7 support, maintenance requests, tour requests, eSign, and cloud data storage. It is a broad no-cost option for renters using Rentberry's workflow.
Landlords — Free: 0.00 USD per free, with property listing, 24/7 support, maintenance request tracking, and US-only tenant screening requests. Free listings expire after 30 days, and the plan does not include paid promotion and syndication.
Application fee: 9.99 USD per once for a tenant application fee.
Tenant insurance: 11.00 USD per month, billed from $11/mo.
eSign and cloud data storage: 19.99 USD per once for a landlord service.
Rent collection: 19.99 USD per once for a landlord service; Stripe payout fees may also apply and depend on the bank account's country.
Property agent/broker fee: 24.99 USD per month, billed $24.99/mo.
Credit and background check: 39.99 USD per once for both reports, US only.
Property promotion and syndication: 49.99 USD per month, billed $49.99/mo, for promoted listings and partner website syndication.

The pricing structure suits users who need only occasional add-ons, but landlords seeking broad distribution or multiple paid services should compare the combined costs with their expected rental volume.

Platforms

Rentberry is available on the web, Android, and iOS. Its mobile apps include custom offers, maintenance requests, and e-signing, making them relevant to tenants and landlords handling those tasks away from a desktop.

Who it's for

Rentberry is a reasonable fit for tenants who want search, tours, negotiation, and ongoing maintenance tasks in one service, and for individual landlords who value free listings and a broad rental workflow. Property managers, agents, and brokers can also use the platform, but larger businesses should plan around the customer-service process for bulk uploads and the direction to contact Rentberry above 100 properties. It is less suited to landlords who need unlimited listing duration or included paid syndication.

Pros and cons

Pros: Free tenant and landlord plans include meaningful workflow tools, from tours and maintenance to listing and screening requests.
Pros: Search across more than 90 countries and apps with offer negotiation and e-signing support a connected rental process.
Pros: Landlords can add any number of properties, and the AI description generator can help draft listing copy.
Cons: Listings expire after 30 days, so landlords must renew them to remain visible.
Cons: Bulk uploads over 10 properties require customer-service contact, and businesses over 100 properties must contact Rentberry.
Cons: Screening is limited to the US, while promotion, reports, and other services add separate charges.

Verdict

Choose Rentberry if you want a free rental platform that connects search and listing with applications, tours, negotiation, e-signing, and maintenance. Its main advantage is the breadth of that workflow across renter and landlord tasks; look elsewhere if your operation depends on longer-lived listings, streamlined bulk uploads, or screening outside the US.
